  1. Nope it was just a low k's vs2 in Ws2 and with mostly Tomei gear. Still standard bottom end but the full list of bolt ons and including things like endless frotlnt calipers. Clearly a track car. That's part of my issue is that 34s like the first one don't seem that common for the money (Inc all spares etc) I could just play hardball and offer less, want all spares (as he talked about keeping the power fc) and if he says no, then so be it. that requires a comittment of a days driving to inspect it though and the knowledge that I'll need a build sooner than I might otherwise due to k's
  2. In two mind honestly. Troy (iron chef) showed me a nice example (modified) but it was 80k+ landed...
  3. OK update time. Gun metal R34 guy called to say he's been pulling the front end down a little and can see signs of inner guard repair due to new seam sealer but said an inner guard only goes from radiator to strut on the GTR not the firewall. Said he and the panel beater are happy with how it was done (he's a mechanical engineer) and that I'm welcome to inspect and photograph myself. He said the same for radiator support but he couldn't spot any signs of removal for the cross member but did notice the lower radiator support was also replaced (whatever that's called). He said he's less concerned after inspecting but thanked me for alerting him. He also noted that the auction report he was shown displayed an auction grade 4, so bs.
  4. Prefer a 34, series 3 r33 is possible if it was amazing, thanks for the offer though. Cheers
  5. Still on the hunt. Currently in the coffs region so can inspect things within a days drive easily enough.
  6. Nice car, but prefer something that is Silver o Bayside with dark interior. I can get away without the interior as that's easy to swap in, external colour is another matter. WA is miles away too =\ Why is there so many 34s there?
  7. Saw that on carsales. 30k is not a bad price but you've got to wonder why it did a headgasket...
  8. Yep we've been chatting for a bit. He's given me a login to watch the auctions but obviously I'll get better results committing and giving him the finders fee. I have a really hard time doing that knowing I can't inspect or drive the car.
  9. How about you guys find me a car... R33 guy wants north of 50k, pass.
  10. As I'm in no rush I might hold out for Series 2.
  11. Racepace report on Blue car.
  12. Oh and pretty much finished modifications wise as I'm not looking for a project. I've still got my race car for that.
  13. I've looked at both of those lol If you was a 33 it would have to be a series 3 and fairly clean and likely silver to catch my attention enough to choose it over and R34.
  14. For shit ones maybe. I sold my 33 7yrs ago for 30k and it was very clean but only had 250kw... 30k these days gets a built car easily.
  15. That's the issue with any car of course. I see R34's having a better time holding some value than 33s, which will get sandwiched between 34s and 32s as 35s come down in price when the 36 arrives.
  16. The plan is to enjoy the car on weekends and the odd track day. Selling later is a possibility because R35s will get cheaper So a decent resale value would be nice.
  17. There's wiggle room on the r34. He has all original log books etc. The 33 would need to be cheaper than the 34 for me to logically consider it. Just can't justify 34 money on the previous model. Built or not. Even a mint series 3 is not going to appreciate much if at all because its a 33.
  18. Yeah I'm in no rush, this gun metal one really got the ball rolling though. The Blue 34 owner may be asking a little more than I want (56k but said negotiable). No harm in waiting.
  19. I would sell the interior and the wheels. There's nothing else on it that could be sold. The wheels would hopefully be a swap/sell enough to get something like what's on the 33. The seats would go towards series 2 interior or black race seats with series 2 rear seats. I'd then need pods and skirts and an MFD. He's also asking more and it doesn't have spares like the gun metal one.
  20. Please tell me it was an NSX. Got offered 2 other cars. The 34 is a 2000 vpsec (grey interior ) but has all the fruit for 480hp or so, is currently at racepace so I can speak to chris about it. under 50k's supposedly still has factory rotors so beleive to be genuine (of course would check). Also missing skirts and rear pods. Seats are up to 2k just for the fronts and I would want black, but I could just as easily buy nice race seats for that money or less, but then need black rear interior. Also needs MFD film replaced as is common. The 33 is a wild card, looks like a beautiful series 3 in my choice of wheels and colour and a built 26/30 with 500kw 0_0. Apparently wants 34 money for it though but said he has spent 140k on it and "everything is new and pristine". and
  21. Yeah I'm trying to think of resale value etc too.
