They climb the roller door?! what kinda indiana jones animals you got out there?! Tell me more about these brush seals, I have a 5mw x 3.2m high door so when it's closed there's a generous gap between the remaining door on the roller and the lintel. -

Yes that's from inside, from outside there's a hump in the sheet metal the the outlet is hidden away from debris. When I put my shed in I spent an extra i dunno few hundred bucks, and put verma-seal in all around the sheet metal at the rebate, no mice/rats so far. They have a retro fit product also, if you have issues with vermin. Keeps snakes out too. -

I went and had a look at mine, it was difficult to photograph it but this ebay listing shows it much better. 1989 Nissan 240sx Rear RH Cabin Air Vent | eBay This listing doesn't show what I could feel which is a thin rubber flap that feels like it's under spring tension, push it in, it springs back, might just be the wait of the flap, but it felt suspiciously "springy". You can see it in the bottom of my poor photo, this is the passenger side boot well down low in the guard. -

Just thinking, does the S13 have a similar vent? I can check mine if that helps? -

Hmm, 1-2mm thick rubber sheet from somewhere like Clark rubber? Sika flex in, cut vent slots in it. It's internal pressure that supposed to allow air out and not in, or if you're only worried about pests, stainless mesh, sikeflex it in. -

I am seeing new CD009s for 4-4.5k Has got me thinking I just go that way until the ZF stuff is better supported, but lets me real, my car is so far away I'll be putting in a ZF12HP40000 -

How did I jinx you? All I see is more progress???? The vent I thought had a slotted rubber section that slots into the plastic and only allows air flow one way bit BUT I might be thinking of a Landcruiser... -

Seems everybody is slow to respond, Turbo Lamik haven't responded to me yet, I told Haltech they need to make a GCU so we have something local. Let me know what you find out about emtron/syvencs Rob -
For what it's worth, this thread reminds me of me in the earlier days of car modding, I only had forums and a couple equally clueless mates to help, thank god I had one genuinely good mechanic mate who could assist from time to time when I'd really F'd up. Youtube was a game changer for sure. I think these stories are important because we all start somewhere. I STILL catch myself stripping bolts "just a little tighter" and making more work for myself "wouldn't it be cool if..." but on the whole have slowly over the last 2 decades become as good as a 2nd year apprentice mechanic 🥳

Holiday was good, towing mods went well. Bit heavy on fuel, but to be expected for Petrol V6 and I did overtake a LOT of other caravans lol. Head updates, Dale says is about 60-70% done. Divider is not finished in these pics. Also I was considering doing a basic build on my spare block/crank so I can just throw a manual in the car and go racing while I wait for the better engine and work out how to do ZF swap etc. Like mid 200s to 300rwkw max type thing. Plus I've always wanted to DIY an engine build. I cam across these GTiR rods from a guy who bought them out of Dales S15 he had, can anyone identify the rod bolts? Stock seem to have TT stamped on them, Dale seems to think they are ARP, contracted by Nismo. And this pic is one Dale sent me showing stock rod bolts vs what he thinks are Nismo/ARP spec. -
I always find it interesting how people compare cars and what works/doesn't work for them. I think Johnny will like it, my 2 cents.

It's personal opinion. I test drove a stock M4 back to back with a MY11 400+awkw R35 within 30mins of each other back when I was thinking about what I might do after selling the 34R. I'd have taken the M4 as my weekend car on that day, more so for the luxury aspect- but I also have a track car so really it depends what you want to do with the car.

Wasn't planning on doing rears as there's plenty of clearance for them, the fronts are primarily to bring back the camber I'll need that was lost standing the hub up at the knuckle to get something like an 18x10 +10 to clear the strut. Some extra track up front wont hurt either. Will need wider guards/flares all round too. I still have tubs to do in the front as well. -

Still here. Modding LCA's almost finished the first one. Just gotta weld that longer gusset in. Most of my time has been on the Prado getting it ready to tow the van on holiday. - Bags - Rear anderson - Lockup controller all in Bags were only just done, waiting to see if they leak, pushlock makes me nervous. Big job, springs out, cut bump stops, put bags in, make mount, drop tow bar to fit the mount etc etc. Easily took me 4hrs. Rear anderson was fiddly, tow pack out as wanted to weld a good strong mount for it given how anderson plugs can be. Thanky fully I was only running to the rear power setup and not the front of the car. Lockup mate isn't bad, definitely holds lock longer and would be great for someone who had no idea about how to drive for lock, but does add a little harshness in some situations, thankfully it's very easy to turn on and off so maybe just use for towing the van/driving in hills as needed. -
I did my old garage the same way, huge difference - well done. Good luck at event, actually act when a warning light comes on and you will be fine. Rather than setup an oil pressure warning light and buzzer then ignore it when you know the car is suffering oil surge because Race Chrono says you're on track for a PB... Who would do that?!
