  1. I reckon these came out half decently. New bushes should be here next week then I can pop the hubs in and put the knuckles back in the car while I wait for the rear rotors. #NoCrustFabrications lol
  2. I've got a 34. bought it early 2010s to mod and track. car sits at home with an outrageous insurance premium. its an investment, not a car I enjoy now. which is sad. ################# Dunno why you deleted the above? It raises some valid points though and mirrors part of my views back when I sold. Buying or keeping as an investment is as a valid a reason as any, but not for me. I was also thinking that the market has moved and we have a new type of buyer for whom the purchase price isn't a factor and don't bat an eyelid on dropping bulk coin for very high level mods/repairs etc so the value proposition is still fine. Maybe If i was richer I would have felt differently about it too?
  3. This man knows how to do business Too late sorry, money already went into engine parts for race car.
  4. Head is back, builder sent this and said he will do some light polishing to finish it off but is very happy with the result. I asked about it looking so textured he said "Its actually pretty smooth. That's just toolpaths so looks more pronounced depending on angle. OEM is 10x the texture of this" I didn't take any pics of the head before I sent it but have included a stock image from the interwebs, look at the casting marks on the last cyl far right 0_0
  5. Oh, nah not nasty, just facts. New owner reckons he had offers of 150k The extra $$ is the only reason I wish I still had it really, who wouldn't want another 50k for letting a car sit and do nothing. I like money, I would liked to have made more money from the sale That's just about when I sold the car though, the question was more around are they worth the current ask (no IMO) and will they come back down or keep going up (could go either way). I also couldn't get it down the dirt road and up my driveway into my property without a a car trailer so it wasn't practical (we moved out of town). That said, if I had kept it another 2-3years it would have either cost me another 50k in mods (engine and box) or much more in divorce settlement because I was literally "that" unhappy owning the car. It was a relief to sell it (but that is more about me as a person, not the car market). But yes, more money plz and thx!
  6. I can wade in to this and I'm 50/50 on it, as a person who bought a cheaper 34R then sold it for a small profit a few years later (which was 3yrs ago now). Dot points for quickness, all of this is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. They are not worth current asking prices vs what you can get for the same money if what you care about is having the "best" car for the money, I don't begrudge anyone making good money on what I'd consider lesser examples/cars I wouldn't personally touch etc - why would I, it has no impact on me but I see some people getting really worked up about this part. They have a ton of nostalgia tax on them and they are worth whatever someone will pay for them. \ They have the attention of some demographics that place different values on aspects of car ownership than what might have been the previous general demographic of owners. By this I mean looking "cool" is worth a lot to some people. I can't tell if it will keep climbing (US market demand, less examples available, what is around is being modified to a higher standard now etc) or the hype will die and prices will return to some level of normality. Driving one back to back with something, even of lesser value, quickly shows you where the value proposition really is (R35/M4/C63s/911/A90 Supra) the list goes on. This was bought about about 6yrs ago and sold 2yrs later or there abouts after I realised I wasn't enjoying the stress of trying to keep the car mint/worrying about resale values etc/and not being blown away by what I was getting for the time/money/effort I had put in to date, this was a mild street tune setup with 380rwkw, still twins etc. It was an ugly duckling with questionable aesthetics, he had the bonnet/bumper/boot all painted professionally to look that way 0_0 but was very clean base for a build. At first I suspected it had been crashed but it was straight as an arrow and sold easily. I had lusted after a 34R for some time, having previously had a far less modified 33R 10yrs prior, but I actually enjoyed owning the 33R more as I cared less about it. I absolutely adored pulling the cover back and looking at the 34 in the shed, but in reality it wasn't what I had built it up in my head to be and I am much happier building my race car to thrash.
  7. I'm not sure what you're trying to say here?
  8. Completely forgot, yes it's all for sale.
  9. Second knuckle went OK, looks like I was a touch quick on the travel speed, but I imagine they will look ok once cleaned/painted up which will be next on the list as I wait for the sphericals and rotors to arrive. I think in future I might not try and clean up/smooth the weld afterwards, I think it kinda looks better without it (not that you will see this).
  10. Head is finished at machine shop, chambers CNC'd etc. Now it's on its way back to DM for final porting/fit valve train etc. Finally moving forward again.
  11. I'd be flat out being invited to Club Sprint lol This is still a semi budget build, just splurging on some things to hopefully make life easier later.
  12. I asked Prank to change the title lol And before anyone says anything, this is actually nothing to do with Piggaz, I have been talking to my builder about this for ages but sitting on the fence, I just happened to be chatting to him when this pan came up cheap but it makes me feel good to blame my poor financial choices on somebody else
  13. A second up your sleeve is a great place to be
  14. Same, I was out on my DR200 just last week helping recover some of the neighbours sheep lol
  15. Amazing stuff, well done! I've liked your FB as both myself and the No Crust page to boost those social numbers bruh Onboard lap looked pretty smooth, like there was more in it but can never tell from the desk, good driving
  16. What did he win?!?!?!?
  17. Made mistake of talking to Piggaz, then planets aligned and this came up cheap so it's on its way to the builder and we'll work out the rest when the engine gets back. Builder is very happy lol Anyone want a new VE oil pump or Aeroflow sump???
