I've never shaved under my arms and I'm not about to start now. I have tried using some non gym shirts this week, it has made no difference. The smell is not in the shirt (as in left over), the smell is my sweat and is only prevalent after extended periods of sweating, that isn't going to change by wearing a different shirt. I also use Rexona 24hr Deoderant fyi. I am almost 100% sure it's dietary, unless I have some weird gland/hormone problem that has only just started as I have never in my life had my sweat smell like it does in recent times. In the last 6 weeks I have started taking supps again, some old WPI I had and now the Dymatize, but the issue pre-dates the Dymatize easily. So it's either too much protein, unlikely given I ran some numbers last night and it looks like I'm only just hitting what I should be getting without exercise anyway. The other change is as mentioned, moving from higher reps/lower weight 40min workout to higher weight lower reps more intense 60min sessions. I didn't realise you guys hated BB.com but the link basically states that if you don't have enough carbs for fuel during high output times, your body will use amino acids instead, leaving behind nitrogen = stronger smell in urine and sweat. Answer eat more carbs which I'll be trying. My interest was more so if anyone else had had this sort of notable change and managed to reduce it successfully with carbs/diet change, not shaving armpits, new shirts, different deoderant. Had a good lol at that youtube clip For the BB haters, another link with similar take on the topic. http://health.howstuffworks.com/skin-care/information/nutrition/ammonia-sweat-smell.htm

*facepalm* you guys are really missing the point. I did not nor have I ever had my sweat smell like it has in the last 6 weeks. I have always used the same few shirts, for years, and a simple wash is all that's been required to have them smelling fresh again. Now I can wash them on hot and they can still have a tinge of odour. I do not have any BO during the day, it is only when I sweat for extended periods and only in the last 6 weeks. Of course I used deoderant, I work in an office and I'm not a f**king animal None of you read the link huh... It also sounds like I might be alone on this one, at least on here.

lol not normally dude, and whilst it could be just age, my diet hasn't changed enough in any area to make me think it's something like that. Read the link and what I'm saying will make sense, found a heap of other people commenting about the same thing too. Anyway, as I said, can just smash up some more carbs and if it's what was mentioned in the link it should help, if not, maybe it's the supplement but after having a count of things I eat, it shouldn't be too much protein, if anything I should be eating more.
-
Nope, and my point of that comment was only to say that given the exercise I do I should be able to take on a fair bit more protein without any ill effects, such as smelling like an ogre when I exercise.

I've got an interesting one for you all this morning gents. I've noticed that for the last, say 6 weeks? I stink when I sweat. I've always had OK BO when I exercise, sure I get sweaty and you can smell that I've been exercising but not like it has been recently. At first I thought perhaps it was that I was back on a supplement and was getting too much protein. I had a quick look around the place and worked out that for a guy my weight 81kg, I should be getting roughly 67-70g protein a day, and I'd say on my "max" protein days where I've had a big hit of supplement and had meat for dinner/lunch that I might be reaching that, so in reality, as I exercise I should be able to safely have more without issue. Then I suspected maybe I am having too much fish oil (which I take daily for my joints) but I'm only having 1500mg and the RDI is safely around 3000mg. I changed my search from "omg I stink BO wtf" to "exercise sweat change in odour" (not exact wording but you get me) and ended up with this link. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/ammonia.htm What do you guys think about that? To me it makes sense as I am getting plenty of protein and amino's from my supps and diet but have gone from a 40min workout 3 times weekly to a more intense 60min workout 3 times weekly, so an extra hour per week plus increased intensity and weight loads, and here's the killer, I realised last night that I have not been eating anything more than usual beyond the supplement. That link explains that there's a good chance I am not getting enough Carbs so my body switches to burning amino acids, the process of which leaves behind nitrogen which makes its way to the kidneys and either gets out via urine or sweat, and admittedly I have not been drinking enough water with my new busier job. Anyone else come across the change in BO when exercising? Think the link is BS or right on the money? I know I can simply test by eating some carbs but I don't wanna end up with a surplus and get fat.

Had a couple of requests for pics so here they are in all their crappy iPhone camera glory. I also had a question about postage for the Media PC to QLD, AusPost estimates about $25 and I use my own packaging to keep costs down. I imagine the other machines will be similar costs. I should add that if I can' move this gear quickly, that means throw me offers if you don't like the prices, I'll put them up on eBay for SFA. Except maybe the HDDs, I have a hard time parting with cheap storage *** Media PC *** Forgot to add, this has an LCD on the front showing case temp, a GeForce MX400 video card, and a big fan in the back which can be disconnected for very quiet running, temps are fine without when running movies off the HDD. *** IBM/Lenovo **** *** HP DX2300 ***

It "could" but it really depends on how high your compression is and how much of a threshold it will have for pre-igniting the mix with boost on board. You might find that at 5psi, with some cheapo ducting to try and cool the comp housing, high octane fuel and a few degrees of timing knocked out that it's safe enough but you'd need to monitor knock very closely as I doubt standard Elantra piston ring lands would sustain high levels of knock for extended periods, the real concern though is preignition as it will melt holes in shit before you realise there's an issue. For the cost of a cheap cooler, you can likely keep the timing where it is and not sacrifice response, run 5psi safely enough, and not have the heartache. Bare in mind that 5psi or not, tuning of "some" sort will be required. You might get away with an SAFC or a Jaycar fuel controller but you will need some way of giving it more fuel than the factory ECU will think it should have at a given point. Without knowing how big the factory injectors are (my guess would be 240-270cc or so) it's hard to know what other hurdles you might follow. Don't let anyone tell you it can't be done or that it's stupid, if you have the time and money and desire, do whatever the hell you want.

Can't see how you couldn't at least fit a side mount in front of the radiator opposite the pod or under either headlight? Also looks like plenty of space behind the passenger headlight where you fit a small side mount and duct it up from under the headlight or is a battery missing?
-
My god that sounds creepy as hell lol It rubs the lotion on its skin...
-
That's a big turbo for 5psi, I'm assuming you have plans for future development in which a cooler would be mandatory anyway. If not, ditch the bigger turbo and just using something tiny that will spool quick, I just gave away a T25 that for just such an application, 5psi fast spool. If you honestly cannot get a front mount on it, which I'd doubt anyway, then it's unlikely you can't fit a side mount SOMEWHERE. Run it is a top mount, run it behind a headlight etc etc. Or you could do what the yanks do and rear mount the turbo and the charge temps will drop a fair bit on the return trip to the front of the car, crazy as it sounds it seems to work OK. CAI will have the smallest of impacts but you could also run a NACA above the turbo and try to cool the comp housing as much as possible, will still pale in comparison to having even the most basic of cheapo second hand sidemounts. As Ash said, need more info.

We're yet to sell either of the houses and wont be in any hurry in this market so all my GT-R funds are well and truly tied up But hey, on the plus side a CA S13 is cheapo as chips and I've got a Z32 and Injectors going in, having just fitted a GT2560 (Fancy name for S15 T88 Ball bearing). So jelly you bought Dean's car, not that I was going to, but I just want it for myself. -

You forgot the 4wd skid pan space and the bin to pour money into before the finish. -
Believe me I know all about the shit you get if you are too vain, another reason I toned it down so much, that and growing up. Sif post pics of unhappy GF in thread with you lot. Attend DECAs etc, she comes to pretty much most of them when I go and will be in heaps of photos, though she won't be at this one sorry guys. Birds I wondered that one before, but resolved myself to fact that the product would have specifics about mixing if it was detrimental to its effectiveness.

God I love the trash talk. Was a smart move selling the R Leon, ended up with me having a house, an OK daily and a track car instead and a full license and all my limbs + the ability to walk = good times. I have plans to get another but I just can't afford a 34 right now so that will have to wait and the S13 can get molested instead. -

I'm sure I make it sound very one sided. She doesn't like big muscly guys or the attitude that many of them have so I'm guessing she's reacting that way because she thinks that's where I'm headed back to.

No back pain from concentration curls that I have found, back got tender a bit when building the weight on squats and SLDL and beginning to go ass to grass in the squats also + doing bent over barbell rows but I felt that was to be expected somewhat and it's not a compounding discomfort if you get me, it's gone before the next session.
