Heh, I thought I might get a few questioms about that. I bought it from a seller on these forums who I think got it from the yahoo auctions. All the instructions are in Jap. It looks great but I'm a bit dubious as to how well it actually shields ^-^

Hey guys, attached are some pics of my new POD setup (GF got me the filter for xmas, now that's a women =D ) Just curious to hear/see what others are doing as the car feels a bit more sluggish during the day but better when it's cold, due to heat soak I imagine during the day. I got given some heat shield foam for free when I bought that heat shield so wrapped the intake cooler pipe as well, not idea if that will make any difference or not. Please forgive my K & N sticker rice, I wanted to put it on somewhere =D Half tried to hide it.

Have you got pics of the add on lip and would you consider selling it separate?

LoL. Perhaps we have a different approach to car maintenance. I'd personally rather know that the filter requires cleaning and do it and have a nice clean filter again, personal preference =) Then again, your question was essentially rhetorical anyway so I'll leave it at that. Side note: Good to see a wide range of views too, be boring if everyone went the same route.

My understanding is such that you should blow it out with compressed air at regular intervals. I can't imagine any performance car owner with half a brain not EVER servicing the device that filters the air going into the engine....Not trying to start a big debate just saying that most sensible owners are fairly adamant about regular services =) Dezz the Apexi items are meant to last for ages and are claimed as zero to little maintenance. You gotta make the choice if you wanna do nothing, blow it out at regular intervals or use a non dry filter. I went with wet purely because it encourages a regular service routine =)

I had a hot start issue when I bought my car a few months back. Was a bad earth to the cam angle sensor. Not sure if that helps but something extra to look at =) (The car would only not start if the engine was hot or had been in the sun, cold it was perfect) Good luck.

That's the first time I've heard that but I'm not the type to disregard someone elses view =) Personally I would have thought that if the filter was dripping wet then maybe it would have some effect on the afm. Perhaps a better name might be a slightly moist filter rather than a wet filter. Anyone else have views on wet filters? (not K & N specifically) as I'm curious =) Thouhg I'm not about to change mine anytime soon.

I personally use a K&N Inverted POD. I've read a lot about high HP cars using hem with good results. Plus I like the idea of a wet serviceable filter. Just my 2c =) (Don't forget a heat shield!)

Well at the moment, nothing! As the system does not work. Do you know where your central locking controller is? Have you seen it? As for that extra button, could be boot release, could be panic button? Will take the module in soon and get it looked at. Just recently lost a headlight so replaced them all with those philips blue vision things, much nicer =)

This has been a matter of conjecture for quite sometime and I think it's about time we got some thoughts on the matter. Below are some Jap terms we all use, but let's clarify the pronunciation!!! Apexi - "Apex eye", as in Apex of a corner, or "Ah" "pecs" "ee" Greddy - Greddy. "Gr" "eddy" like the name or "Gee" "Ready" Jun - "June" the month or "Jun", like sun but with a J Stagea - "Stage" "A", or "Stage" "e" "ah" That's just to get started, feel free to add to the list but only after the above has been addressed!

I'm not big on stereo systems but my factory speakers are missing in the front and have had child restraint bolts put through them in the back. So if someone has all four of these speakers in good working order and doesn't want an arm and a leg for them (they're only 2nd hand factory speakers after all) let me know.

I need the plastic moulding insert for the driver side seat belt. Where the belt disappears into the trim there's a plastic mould there, I need the drivers side one. Also, I need the rear plastic cover that goes over the screws on the jesus bars in the back. Passenger side. got these?

There's a few of us around but there's not much of a 'scene' anymore. As such I was thinking that if people are interested we could all have a bit of a meet and greet somewhere. Just a chance to put faces to names, admire each others cars, get lunch or whatever, just some harmless fun, nothing crazy. Not sure if there are many Albury/Wodonga people here, but we'll soon find out =D Cheers
