  1. Could you possibly get a shot of the wheel looking directly at it and without flash. I'd like to super-impose them onto my car and the flash makes it look weird, even with lowered brightness and contrast =) Cheers
  2. Hmm, for some reason I have a feeling that they will not be a direct bolt on. Can anyone with extensive wheel knowledge confirm or deny this? Admittedly I'm not right up with what will and wont fit my car.
  3. Wouldn't consider posting interstate? I think they'd look pretty good on my red Series II. What rubber is on them spefically and are they a direct bolt on?
  4. Will most likely end up grabbing a second hand one from eBay, wouldn't mind the factory speakers if someone has them though...
  5. Mmmm, depends. There's plenty of older black Kenwoods on eBay for less than that including postage. So you'd have to be offering speakers and postage and a reasonable deck for me to be interested Cheers
  6. Yeah and even though I have this setup, I'd still agree with you. The shield was cheap and I love the way it looks so yeah, had to go for it. I'm keen to get some more cold air flow in that area though, how is everyone else getting there cold air in?
  7. And you of all people dezz.... I thought you'd have my back man Where's the love? =D
  8. LoL  Guys the point of this thread was to get some pics/ideas from others about how they are feeding cold air and protecting from heat. In regards to my shield, I'd hope you could clearly see from the pics that the flat portion of the shield is FAR too wide and would protrude outside the engine bay area if it was on the way you are suggesting. For reference, I did try this, as I originally thought I'd put it on backwards myself, it does not fit the other way round and the air snorkel does not come close to the pre-made hole for it. I've also got a pic from the instructions below that shows how the finished product should look. Cheers
  9. The material itself appears to be fibreglass with a CF layer on the visible portions. My shield aside, I was hoping to get some pics and thoughts on how others are doing there setups as I was wanting to run another cold air duct from somewhere =)
  10. Don't really wanna have to spend $200 on new deck when I know I could get a decent 2nd hand one for much much less. Plus I'd really like a black head unit and 99% of anything new is silver or at least not black =\. I wasn't sure if there was a single DIN CD player factory or not, but I remember when I was looking for my car that I test drove a few that had Nissan Single DIN unit's in them. Mine has the single DIN tape deck and a fold open compartment that I'll be putting a timer in for a nice tidy look. Surely someone kept the factory speakers? =)
  11. Hey all, My Series II has a tape deck in it =\ and as far as I know there was also a single DIN CD player option, is this correct? If so does anyone wanna sell me their old one? I'm not right into stereos but a CD player would be nice. Anyone know if the AM/FM on them requires a band expander? Also does the factory unit read CD-R's and RW's? Lastly, does someone have the factory front and rear speakers they wanna get rid of? Mine is missing the fronts and the rears have child restraints drilled through them from compliance... Cheers =D
  12. Heh, I thought I might get a few questioms about that. I bought it from a seller on these forums who I think got it from the yahoo auctions. All the instructions are in Jap. It looks great but I'm a bit dubious as to how well it actually shields ^-^
  13. Hey guys, attached are some pics of my new POD setup (GF got me the filter for xmas, now that's a women =D ) Just curious to hear/see what others are doing as the car feels a bit more sluggish during the day but better when it's cold, due to heat soak I imagine during the day. I got given some heat shield foam for free when I bought that heat shield so wrapped the intake cooler pipe as well, not idea if that will make any difference or not. Please forgive my K & N sticker rice, I wanted to put it on somewhere =D Half tried to hide it.
  14. Have you got pics of the add on lip and would you consider selling it separate?
  15. LoL. Perhaps we have a different approach to car maintenance. I'd personally rather know that the filter requires cleaning and do it and have a nice clean filter again, personal preference =) Then again, your question was essentially rhetorical anyway so I'll leave it at that. Side note: Good to see a wide range of views too, be boring if everyone went the same route.
  16. My understanding is such that you should blow it out with compressed air at regular intervals. I can't imagine any performance car owner with half a brain not EVER servicing the device that filters the air going into the engine....Not trying to start a big debate just saying that most sensible owners are fairly adamant about regular services =) Dezz the Apexi items are meant to last for ages and are claimed as zero to little maintenance. You gotta make the choice if you wanna do nothing, blow it out at regular intervals or use a non dry filter. I went with wet purely because it encourages a regular service routine =)
  17. I had a hot start issue when I bought my car a few months back. Was a bad earth to the cam angle sensor. Not sure if that helps but something extra to look at =) (The car would only not start if the engine was hot or had been in the sun, cold it was perfect) Good luck.
  18. That's the first time I've heard that but I'm not the type to disregard someone elses view =) Personally I would have thought that if the filter was dripping wet then maybe it would have some effect on the afm. Perhaps a better name might be a slightly moist filter rather than a wet filter. Anyone else have views on wet filters? (not K & N specifically) as I'm curious =) Thouhg I'm not about to change mine anytime soon.
  19. I personally use a K&N Inverted POD. I've read a lot about high HP cars using hem with good results. Plus I like the idea of a wet serviceable filter. Just my 2c =) (Don't forget a heat shield!)
  20. exellent question, eager to hear the answer...
  21. Could you take a level side on shot (just looking directly at the wheel), so I and anyone else can photo chop them onto our cars =)
  22. I rang the guy, wheels are sold.
  23. Are these wheels still for sale? If so is the rubber included and if it is, what condition, width, brand etc. Cheers
  24. The people posting I'd wager Feel free to avoid the thread if it bothers you so much. Keep'em coming guys =D
