  1. Just saw your fuel system, downgraded power now because using pleb brands.
  2. I think the power range I guess will be fine then? Or should I bump the range to 440rwkw to be safe? Close to 600rwhp seems about right?
  3. quick run down of important specs again? turbo, intercooler, cams etc I think we had it pegged as a 380-420rwkw setup didn't we?
  4. Found a clip, remember this is stock exhaust and through a snorkel. Not saying it's "good" but you have to hear a stock V6 prado first to understand how shit they are prior to this lol Louder in person which is hilarious to me when overtaking. Makes no noise otherwise. 20200415_173319.mp4
  5. Talked to engine builder, agreed on some extra machining/custom work in the bottom end and the full enchilada porting/valve seat work etc in the head so that's that now, just time for him to build it. Told him I think I'd like it by spring just to put a date on it, that's also when I'll get to work on the new shed. Finished that wood shed, built a horse shelter as well which was much faster but I managed to drop a top hat on my car (it was nearby so I could use the compressor to blow out the bolt holes in the footings. Replaced windscreen and the plastic trim below it, woops. Removed thoise big ugly intake chambers from intake, oh man the car actually sounds "decent" when you give it the boot now. Using the 98 tune currently and driving faster on average but getting the same economy and having more fun Found a little hidden vac line so had to whip up a solution for that. Built myself a log stand also as a welding project with some scraps, saves my back heaps. Stole the design from a place in the UK who wouldn't ship to Aus. Forks come out of the base for easy storing/transport. My first "go" with my welder so for someone with no training/experience I was happy with how it looked after a flap disc and some cold gal lol Was a good learning project. Got another chainsaw too, used my neighbours and fell in love, bigger 3/8" chain, 50% more power Am yet to break it in. Have just been loving autumn, max bonfires, beers with the neighbours etc. Starting to get an itch to go racing again.
  6. I've been looking at dry sump for my new motor but with what I've learned froim tracking my old one and just general research I reckon I can setup a decent enough wet sump for little $$ My current setup is a mess of hoses but worked ,all rocker vents and sump into baffled, vented can with a sump drain. New motor shouldn't breath as heavy, will have bigger sump with some breather ports welded on etc. Got pics of this external scavenge setup? Belt driven or elec.
  7. I thought he just stripped them to sell for kebabs and kept the spicey shit for himself to build ironic LeMons cars? Have you used the oil cap breather before fatz? Looked like a good stop gap measure.
  8. Thought I'd hear of the same issie in others but cbf looking into it to clarify so from now on I will just assume only 32s have that issue.
  9. f**k yeah Bonnet clears with standard mounts? wtf
  10. Watched the video, pretty piss poor lol I pulled a much bigger stump out, up hill, in my old 80 series. Launched it into the side of the chook shed. I have a photo here somewhere, am trying to find it. No surprises it went better though, it was also petrol. Diesel is crap
  11. lol, see diesel is shit My firewood daily is also a Toyota lol
  12. If duncan wants to come to my place with his Leaf and try to tow a loaded wood trailer from where I get the wood to the wood shed I will definitely supply all the beers lol But Duncan has to pay for the damage to his car, whatever that might be lol
  13. Most definitely, diesel is shit in more ways than 1 - personal preference though. For a little extra fuel usage i will take simpler cheaper service, repairs, less noise, smell, better performance etc. Diesel is crap.
  14. lol no Duncan, some of us actually need a proper 4wd. I can't see your leaf towing my loaded wood trailer up my driveway or out of my bush Would supply beers if you wanna come and try it though!
  15. 98c is great, apparently it jumped up again this week
  16. i just paid like $1.20 for 98 at my local servo, 144L thank you. Ejoying the 98 tune in my daily to the max lol
  17. I just wanna see JET200 finished and lapping again.
  18. Ahh he is removing it. I'm on the fence. I'd wanna know the cage was good and didn't split apart and spear my through the face and given how rough some of it was, would you trust it? Then again, it seems it was well looked after in the first part of its life.
  19. I haven't followed it, what's the issue wth it besides that hideous green cage?
  20. Ahh well, probably just sped up the likely outcome for it anyway - bin.
  21. How'd you manage to remove it in the end?
  22. Nah, pelple still use them. Mate of mine sold is cleaner 33R to buy a rougher one but with a built motor so he can care less about it, he seems much happier. I think I should have done the same thing sometimes, and occassionally an"ok" condition 33R will catch my eye lol Couldn't bring myself to buy a 34 again with the tax on them now. Not when you compare what's around for the money.
