  1. You know what? I was wrong. You guys are incredibly helpful lol No progress on Silvia either, new house and changes at work eating up/costing me money. Need to put a stack away to ship the gear off so I at least have a long block built. I was having yet another flip flop moment with it all the other day, do I just sell all that SR gear, refresh the CA, cams turbo (the shit i sold....) and just keep driving it? But I'll just continue with the SR swap, knowing it will take a while to get it all done but that it should last a good while and have more than enough power for my abilities. Yes, I'm aware how painfully indecisive I can be, thanks lol Spare a thought for my missus. "Don't you dare sell all that stuff, just build the damn thing and drive it".
  2. Merry Christmas to me!
  3. You supply and fit and I'll allow it.
  4. lol you guys are shit help
  5. That would mean removing the radiator. I have already had to f**k around enough lol It's a notorious bolt in Toyota land, people using all sorts of weird setups and tools.
  6. lol, I'll give it a shot. Next post "So guys, I'm posting from the hospital, things didn't quite go to plan. The bolt is still there, which is more than I can say for half the bones in my hand" I'll just get a bigger bar, it'll be right.
  7. I do have a couple little disposable butane bottles in the shed, the ones you swap the head piece from one to the next. Left over from removing subframe bushes lol Will need to remove clutch fan either way, which is also a shit free spinning pulley. That's a job for the new year as I'm off to QLD this Friday.
  8. Interesting, I got the GTR one off easily with my tools. I suspect my old man may have used dad strength...
  9. Not seized, just tight. My dad had it off last month to replace the front main, missed the oil pump seal was leaking also. He did it back to spec, almost 420Nm, no Loctite. That's over 300 ft lbs, my basic torque wrench only goes to 150. It's just a tight bolt as it holds the oil pump and ps pump on the crank. No keyways for those. Service manual has a special tool set for this job, with a pulley holder that has a handle well over 1m long and requires 3/4" breaker for the bolt itself. Tight!
  10. As above, already tried it.
  11. Actually already tried it lol
  12. Landcruiser has been busting my balls when I do find a few mins to progress it. Cannot remove the balancer bolt, factory spec is a bit over 400Nm of torque. First challenge was locking up the crank as it's an auto. I have chained the pulley to the frame, that was enough for me to do this... So I will need to borrow a 3/4" breaker and torque wrench and have another go when I get back from Xmas holidays.
  13. I think you do underestimate how fast the Silvia will be, but we can shit our pants together when i get mine done because I think I underestimate it too. What's the purpose of the 2 cars? Silvia for track GT-R for street? Could save yourself a FAT stack of cash by not going too wild on the GT-R and having the Silvia as your "fast" car?
  14. Did this thing used to have a big turbo kit on it before it was imported? Wonder why they built it and did the head? Someone had some plans at some point?
  15. Or is it? *Dramatic music* Given how much interest there often is in dyno sheets despite the rariety of 1000hp cars, my guess would be a couple? We'll put you down as a no though. Also what's in Brazil?
  16. You seem to work with the most vocal tuners and mechanics, everybody seems to be so outspoken about how great the car is 0_0 I've seen some very mint cars in workshops get nothing more than a "not bad" and a nod lol Dyno sheet?
  17. Are those the specs? I thought this was a full house build? That looks like a 300kw build, was all the good stuff stripped off before it came in? Standard capacity? Gotta wonder why it was refreshed if not to chase power. Any pics of the head work? Least if it's built you can wind boost in. Dyno sheet/street vid!
  18. You'll have better luck on the FB R35 groups, this sub-forum is fairly dead.
  19. Woah woah woah, I didn't say soft, I said changed. I like me some stock daily comfort and wouldn't mind a euro as well. Remember, I did opt not to buy an R35 because the M4 ways heaps nicer. I just ended up buying another house instead of swapping cars.
  20. You've changed man. Why a week? hire car? long test drive?
  21. I misread that as you daily your wife... Was going to say Bravo! Mine must have been modified by Nismo then, it had 2.
  22. Oh thats SFA, the way you phrased it made it seem like a daily. Will do my best to engage teenage girl mode when talking about cars on here with other men... ??
