  1. I'm only 6ft and I manage with Jack stands. That would be a welcome luxury.
  2. A mate has one and rates it highly. He's short though lol
  3. I like it
  4. MCM have a Levanta I think.
  5. http://happ.com.au/hoist_and_lift/happ90-3t-two-post-hoist-fully-adjustable/
  6. Maxlift/tufflift do a good half height 2 post semi removable. If you have the height a proper 2 post makes sense.
  7. Example. http://www.millgateauto.com.au/mid-rise-scissor-lift-gc-sl1000/
  8. Some do, some don't. Plenty of options that don't.
  9. They will go 500mm+ lift (top of the frame) which is about what jack stands are and that's enough for a box removal in a Silvia at least. I've done it a few times solo.
  10. I've been looking at these also, the 5000 model which is enough to lift both my cars (GTR and Silvia). However, for similar money you can get mid lift scissor lift that will go 1-1.5m, the issue being ground clearance for low cars and not being as portable.
  11. All the good bits condensed into one quick blast.
  12. Rear traction may be locker + slicks? As much track time but only 4 laps total in each session? That's only a 10min session or so max? I thought test and tune was like 20? Will have to come along and just do one to see.
  13. Was being sarcastic, I work in IT&T, one of those functions is wholesale NBN. I feel the pain more than most
  14. Painful job, but flares and wheels are on, and fouling shit of course! For anyone that's done it, you know how fun it is working with Sikaflex. Guards all cut, fronts flared up under the plastic flare, rears cut higher and sealed up. Inner seam on chassis rail cut back and sealed up and I'm now working through trying to cut/tuck as much of the guard liner as possible to keep some element of protection for the looms, oil cooler, BOV etc. Also had some scrap metal and some race tape so made a quality radiator air guide, Tucks into the grill nicely.
  15. Great work. What's up with the rear camber? What's the format of these days like? How many stints did you get?
  16. I didn't say it was the cheapest solution, I said "Low mount twins are fine for sub 400rwkw and not costing the earth or having mad lag. " Which is true. Wouldn't expect a basic T3 .82 single scroll to be markedly different in response or power but with the added issue of potential defect. You guys pull your dicks like using 2 turbos is the end of the world and the reality for plenty of people doing is that they are fine/good enough. Are there better ways of doing things? Of course, that's true for any solution - there's always something better. Do they work and product a result? I can say personally yes and the result is decent enough. For THIS application, given his power/response goal he should go full spec TS single, i think we can all agree on that. Unsubscribing from this thread now. Looking forward to seeing resultts in the dyno thread.
  17. Low mount twins are fine for sub 400rwkw and not costing the earth or having mad lag. Can you have a faster spooling sub 400rwkw? Yes, but with much more $$. If you want to go beyond decently 400rwkw, you really are mad to try anything other than a good quality fully TS single setup. You have 2 choices, accept that it will not give you the result you set out for and try to maximize the current setup, knowing full well it will never achieve the initial goal, or go back to square one and ditch the twin setup in favour of a better single solution and stick to your original goal.
  18. Spoke to them and went through it all, they said performance for a GTR. Essentials too soft he reckons.
  19. Did notice that, which seems to make more sense to me given the car is also dialed for more rear camber from factory. Everybody tells you there setup is best =\ Not easy to just go for rides in everyone elses GT-Rs when you're not in the CBD.
