    So somehow the ECU is the issue, not the old CAS, and moving to a superior crank trigger setup is the fix, but we blame the ECU? Sounds backwards? Wait? I've got it! Its because the signal has to travel through so many boxes and so many wires!

    There's only 1 motorsport event I hate and that's drifting. I'm OK with pretty much everything else (though I have no experience with Roll Racing) so if the crowd are anything like drifters, they can f**k off too.

    How much better is your car to drive now you've switched from Haltech to Emtron anyway, must have been a massive improvement? Bit weird Mick, you thought the Haltech was decent a few months ago? What happened? "Hey guys up for grabs is a Haltech elite 2500 with a patch loom by haltech to suit an R34 GTR. ECU has only been in the car for around 10000km max im sure anybody shopping around knows the capabilities of this top of the line ECU. $2800ono" I guess top of line doesn't actually mean it's any good I suppose. Soi I reckon the improvement must be massive and dyno proven with no other changes to skew results...

    Hypergear can essentially "highflow" a -9 as well, with a bigger billet comp wheel for some more grunt.

    I think I like the matte black racelid one more. Both the Ebay store and the local shop are happy for me to swap sizes if need be. eBay deal and option for black makes the eBay store the winner for me,

    GoPro frame turned up. Looks decent. I already had the mount. Also scored a cheap EBC over the weekend. $50 for Gizzmo MS-IBC V3 complete with Solenoid etc. Couldn't say no to closed loop control for that. Did some work in the splitter to reduce flex, most of what's left is in the mounts. I will add an additional fixing point with some all thread and leave it at that.

    Don't feel bad. You tried something and you reported back honest results. Much respect from me. I try to do the same but this place can be hostile sometimes lol Hopefully you recover as much of the outlay as possible and onto something better (if this result can't be improved to your satisfaction).

    Going to try the Nankang AR-1 in 255, they seem to review well as a cheap R Comp. Hopefully it clears the shock, if not I'd probs prefer to swap these rims for more aggressive offset and then commit to bolt on flares. Should be a nice step up in grip and for not much more than the RS-RR in the same size (though I assume RS-RR will last longer). https://nankangtyres.com.au/tyre/ar-1/

    Got the 255/40/R17 AR1 for $180 a piece. $120 more for a set over the RS-RR, worth the gamble to me. I won' be testing these for a month or 2 realistically, will report back when I have something to say. I can safely say they will be faster than my old 235 RS-R so don't expect much from me other than "wow I went faster". My only previous "real" Semi experience was on a set of shagged RE55s lol Since then It's been only RS-R as they last so long.
