Lexus (RC-F) much heavier with less torque available and a smaller power band with a conventional auto =\ Doesn't seem that appealing, but as with everything hard to know unless you drive it. -

RC-F or something? I like the Q60 Red sport, but the depreciation on a brand new luxury car would be pretty horrendous. Sure, cars costs money, but I am too much of a jew to to piss that kind cash up the wall. Would rather have 2 cars instead. -

oh and warranty on the one I looked at expired in November and when discussing warranty options beyond that, the dealership had no issue with an exhaust and tune "within reason". When questioning that he said the exhaust should have cats and be of legal sound level, tune should not be for any other fuel type - no e85. This was an independent prestige dealer though, not a BMW specific dealer. -

Wasn't brand spanker M4, 2014. When talking to the owner of the 35 about the harshness of the transaxle/ride he said he'd also commented on that to Nissan and they let him drive a 2017 to compare, he said there was barely any difference which was in part why he just bought a cheaper second hand one. I also realise the M4 will likely depreciate much worse. -

Guess what lol, mind changed again! I spent some time with an M4 and an R35 over the weekend. M4 is a muuuuuch nicer car. I cannot believe how rough and noisy the 35 is. M4 was almost as quick to highway speeds and it was stock. Would be line ball with a tune and exhaust but a much nicer car to drive. R35 = Transaxle noises, road noise, suspension noise. This was a MY11 with an exhaust and a tune, 48ks, full service history. Tried it in comfort etc, barely any difference. Reminded me of my 34 in terms of harshness and my car has aftermarket coil overs/clutch and is 17yrs old. Seats are uncomfortable as hell. Convinced me there's not enough of a difference between a tuned 34 and a fairly standard R35 to warrant the change. Might sit on 34 for a while and see what M4 prices do. R35 low down torque is delicious and makes me want 3L+ in my car lol, the continual pull well beyond legal speeds is just dead sexy. -
S13 Sprint/Time Attack Style Build

Been busy, went to Melbourne, went to Sydney, come back to mail on my desk which is always fun. Will fit these when I get a chance then finish off the rear diffuser enough so the car can go into the shop. GTR goes in to the tuner today anyway so a bit going on. Thoughts on 3mm hub centric spacer up the front to gain some clearance to the shock body so I can run more camber iuf we can't get to at least 3 degrees? -
Yeah I should have added I have an S15 rack if that makes any difference.

R34 Rear Number Plate Gap Options
No Crust Racing replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Pic of it fitted? Do you know if you can mix and match plate styles? I don't want anything else on the front as i customised a slimline - borders trimmed the rounded to fit into number plate recess, angled in towards cooler. -

Jap plate doesn't come in black/white. Dunno about US plate and if you can have different plate styles on each end as I customised the front slim line plate to fit the z tune style bar recess. -
I have those fitted but haven't driven on them yet. Quality in hand seems good, bearings seem strong and the boots are a nice touch. Take particular note of this, I had to cut mine down so much that I needed a die to extend the thread up the tie rod end on standard S13 inner tie rods. NOTE: When used with stock knuckles the tie rod thread may need to be cut down we recommend using our adjustable inner tie rods (14mm) which offer more than enough thread either way as seen in the following link.

R34 Rear Number Plate Gap Options

I'd considered just cutting a nice piece of aluminium and painting it the same colour as the car. Not keen on changing the whole bar, but I like the look. Got pics of your 32/S15? -
R34 Rear Number Plate Gap Options What have people done to tidy up the rear end number plate surround? As you can see in this pic (not my car) a standard issue slim plate leaves a lot of space below it. The Japanese plates available from Vic roads will fill that space but do not come in black with white writing, which is what I have. Cutting the tabs off will still leave that big gap. Has anyone done anything unique here?

Was talking about doing another test and tune if you're keen. Silvia should be ready to go hopefully by the end of the month. I'd rather drive an hour and do Winton over Wilby. -

Rear sway bar in with lovely new bushes. Made some progress on the rear diffuser/cavity fill in. What you see is a Mazda 3 engine tray and some home made brackets. Will be attached to the rear bar also and likely some additional bracing along the front in the middle. It only goes across to where the exhaust sits (removed in these pics but you can see where I've made some adjustments to the tray to clear it). I'll likely put some sort of fins on it for extra rice points. ECU arrived at Nistune yesterday. -

Mitch's R33 Ls Track Car Rebuild
No Crust Racing replied to Mitch_Dubya's topic in Motorsport Builds
Remember there's such thing as too much cooling depending on the pad and rotor combo. You want to aim it at the centre of the rotor as that's where it naturally draws air from, try not to aim at the disc surface as you don't want different surface temps. Just aiming it generally at the centre will be enough. Nick at tyrepower across from the plaza. I'll give you his details on FB. When is next round? Proper sprint? -

S13 Sprint/Time Attack Style Build

When under the car I noticed my home made engine mounts are looking tired (boxed up the factory mounts and filled them with sikaflex because budget race car) and the trans mount is also the factory 28yr old one so have bought some basic poly mounts to swap in. Bought a new seal for the shifter housing as the old factory one appears to be leaking, hopefully it's just that as I can see box oil on the extension housing but I put a new seal in that when I did the clutch. Picked up the waybar bushes this arvo. Looking forward to test and tune -
