How exactly you go through DFT? Somebody stuffed up installing a strut on my car - they cross threaded the bolt, so the strut sat at an angle, and has now damaged the strut top... they reckon a bearing failed under the strut, and the thread's strippin from the bottom... either way, if turns out to be their fault.. i aint sure how to go about makin 'em pay for the mistake.

EPA's (Environmental Protection Agency) emissions standards - noise pollution and exhaust pollution regulations have to be adhered to - and regulations for cars is different depending on year of manufacture, etc. Is many a rule. An exhaust from any brand can be engineered if it meets epa specs. Some of the newer ones are specifically designed to be high performance and quiet - but sometimes depends how much echo and such is present where test is being done. Guy we went to was legit, and i would recommend. Did the noise test at different rpm in different locations till it passed. (Failed badly the 1st time, so put another resonator in it, came back, failed, went to a different location and different rpm, passed). I don't understand why so many people think that if you're poliete, you won't be touched. From experience it's not the case. With me anyways. I'm not scared, I'm poliete. I got pulled over, i stepped out of the car, got told to get back in the car even though it was a quiet residential area... I'd done nothing wrong, they just saw my front mount and wanted to defect me. When they found out it was engineered, they went through the car so they could find something else. I was courteous, and poliete - even though they decided it was ok by them to make me late for work, wouldn't let me leave, etc. and were being absolute pricks about it. End of the day: if they decide to be arse clowns, the hell can you do about it? Manipulation of power. The only decent experiences I've had with poliece has been when they've legitimately RBT'd me, and that was in a stock car; in which case they're nice, do their jobs, and let me go, no hassels.
