  1. Also goes to show how bad some of these truck drivers are. Last year on freeway from melbourne, i had one swerve at me and run me off the road at 110... bored kents on power trips are dangerous.
  2. Would you separate the rails?
  3. So long as car is 100% on private property... all good
  4. I got picked on in full work uniform.... Sure... pick on the lower classes who can't afford legal fees!!!!!!!!! farking bullies n shit.... power trips... racial hatred.... I'll get you one day....
  5. This is because you're not allowed to adjust how the engine is running from inside the cabin. It's part of ADR.
  6. No. Modify it, take it to an engineer; they will tell you if it is or is not compliant with ADR. If it's not, you can fix it up so it is, return, and get a certificate; certifying by an engineer that the car is compliant with ADR, thus rendering it legal. The car must then be taken to a weight station, weighed... blue slipped again, done. (last time i went through it anyways which was after a defect/rego was also out... the blue slip guy barely looked at the damn thing once he saw the certificate!) To the best of my knowledge; Atmo BOV's are to do with NOISE emissions.... nothing else! But i can see how it would mess up mixtures also...
  7. Atmo BOV's are illegal due to noise emissions afaik. Think about it: increased induction noise can be classed as illegal... how much noise does a BOV make
  8. You forgot to add that the cop can also be a d1ckhead... and that has similar consequences to that if you were...
  9. Thas shit. Hide the POD and hope for the best. They aren't allowed to remove box, etc. Put a nissan sticker on it legally they can't open up anything thas stock/would affect opperation of the car. Paint it black and put nissan sticker on it and say is stock Sounds shit, but spose is the way it is. Technically; cars compliant with Australian Design Rules (ADR) are legal. End of story. But they have to be certified by an engineer to say they are. I dunno if emissions is a different story; but there's gotta be some decent guidelines to follow.
  10. I didn't get points off for atmo BOV...
  11. You say that now... Can't wait for your next story
  12. Burnouts in residential areas are definitely annoying; but so is "police discrestion" - in that; you may just have a problem grounding power or hill starting, or a slippery road... and you can now get penalised worse for it. yay. I don't quite see the problem in quickly getting to the speed limit either? Means less people tailgating to make you go faster typicall; and you have more room to merge because the traffic would now be behind you... maybe if you're actually racing somebody, etc. different story. Things are more likely to go wrong or get out of hand in such events.
  13. Just wondering what everybody else thinks about the new changes. http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/police...6530616329.html Am a bit worried by it. My friend in a high powered FWD car got done for "doing a burnout" when he lost traction doing a hillstart in the wet for approx. 3 seconds. and now: "Car hoons would not only face losing their vehicles but also their liberty, with jail terms of up to nine months for repeat street racing and burnout offences." Wonder how this is going to end...
  14. Congrats. Seems an uncommon occurance these days.
  15. It's like telling a friend i spose when is sent via PM as opposed to putting on public forum....
  16. red car... maybe just external spray (not engine bay/trim) in darker read and maybe silver pearl. just to make it look neat/tidy on the outside for minimal cost. Doesn't look pretty atm... thus am aiming to change colour and rims and have a reasonable car. Might take the engine and gear out myself and spray the bay black, as i imagine it aint cheap to have somebody else do that for you.
  17. So does anybody do good jobs for less than 8k mark? To me, 8k is alot of money... like, i wouldn't get 8k if i ever sold my car... But i want a decent respray... and thus am wondering what options exist.
  18. No. Just means is stock so you an try and argue that!
  19. Also check to make sure the Earth cable hasn't come loose, etc. Would also cause it to not charge.
  20. Basically it's definately an ignition problem. Last time my car did this; simple fix: lead had come loose. Won't be the case for you unfortunately.
  21. How did you set it up exactly? He's complaining that the air is flowing straight into the turbos unfiltered or something? Heh. seems like a di(khead...
  22. Redline Rotary in Auburn, on parra rd at back of a site. Alex there knows what he's talking about. Graduate mechanical and elec. engineer. Quality service/guy to deal with.
  23. Sure can. Happed a fair bit last year. Even cars like 4GIVME got done in this way - was seen by other cars in same empty factories and such. I think they had one going off parra rd too. The one in castle hill was a showground or something. Next to council building. Very dodgey.
  24. There's a defect station they set up out the back of castle hill... They pulled my mate over in north parra and made him follow them there. They radio ahead (i know because i walked into the place once to ask them a few questions... they got a bit of a shock when i walked up but ) If they try and take you there... maybe run outa fuel and tell 'em they can inspect it another day
  25. 4.5" exhaust this time aye?
