Hahaha Yeh Pauls right, It wasnt my first choice (hence the reason i joined SAU) but im more than happy with it. My mate got a skyline (stock also) a couple of days ago and he had no chance when we had a little run!! And as Dan (25GTT) will tell you im a BAD manual driver (having only driven a manual learners car about 5 yrs ago!). Daniel, i bought it private sale and the guy has never thrashed it. Its so easy to see too Its a very nice car and im so rapt! Stage one (coming after i pay stamp duty (BTW does anyone know how much that will cost for about ~24K) will be full exhaust etc and hopefully before the end of the year i'll have suspension, big turbo, FMIC, autronics etc. Niz.... Black is awesome but far out it shows up every little detail and what was a clean car yesterday is now dirty as.... I havent found anyone with a digital camera so i'll have to do things the hard way! pics tomorrow. Cheers Mat

Woo hoo!! After being patient and going through some major hassles over the last 3months i finally picked up my new toy this arvo :uh-huh: As some of you know i COULDNT get a skyline (due to RAC finance hassles etc) so i had to find another car...... Well i know its not a skyline but i ended up buying an IMMACULATE late model 97 WRX (in black ). At least its not a commy i guess! It worked out that i'm at least $200 a month better off with anything other than a skyline (mainly due to massive insurance). Cant argue with that. Bugger paying $370 a month for insurance.... So finally after all the hassles it all worked out. Its still 100% stock for the time being (have some fairly big ideas though ) and is litterally in perfect condition!! I'll post up pics for anyone interested when i find someone with a digital camera. OK now all those people who are going to bag my car (we've all heard the gearbox and wrecks jokes) dont bother replying I dont bag your cars so i expect the same back. Another quick question. Would I (and a couple of mates, two with low 12 second wrx's and a stock skyline) be welcome at cruises, even though i dont have a skyline?? Its pretty exciting having a new toy eh! WTF how can u call a staffy an "evil killing machine". I know a lot of people with Staffy's and not one is unfriendly....... The only time i've ever seen an unfriendly staffy was at the dog beach when my girlfriends dog (a staffy too) went up and had a sniff.... Thats one out of at least 30 staffys i "know". Its like saying all commodore drivers are bogans.. In reality most are family people driving around in VT's and such.

Hmm... Theres a "similiar" thing on another forum i frequent and it basically lets other people have coments about a certain user and rates there helpfullness or whatever... Could be something like that, but then again, it could be something totally different

Dan, They said the same thing to me. They "found" me a VT SS, but if i wanted one, i would get one wouldnt I...... Out of all the stuff that has happened this week (and what a shit week), one thing is clear, RAC DO offer very good deals with certain cars etc. Repayments and interest rates are so much better than anyone else i've spoken to.

Dan, Like i said, it wont be perfect but as long as we sit down and have a bit of a think and take our time, we should do a pretty good job!! Dan, Have you thought about trying it yourself. It wouldnt be that hard at all (heck at school i used to make all sorts of boats, clocks, a big table and cabinet things in woodwork). I'm the sort of person who would rather pay someone, but it can be worth it to give it a go yourself!! Getting GOOD QUALITY wood (stick to wood, rather than plastic) is easy enough (and fairly cheap) and unless you wanted fancy designs, you could make the stand any shape, size or design you wanted. Will work out a lot cheaper and it wouldnt take that long. A mate has a similiar tank, so if i get a chance i'll go up tomorrow arvo and get some pics. Very simple design but looks fantastic. What sort of fish you plan to get??

Rob, I know bugger all, but the whole WRX gearbox thing is so overdone (not starting a shitfight but its the same thing with LS1's and oil....). Dont listen to rumours..... 2 or 3 very close mates have wrx's in the 12's (one with a 12.1 and should go better with a decent drive) and not one of them has had gearbox problems. One drives his very hard, the other two drive normally. Dan is right in saying that mod for mod WRX will probably get better times (but you cant compare apples to oranges). I'm not biased in any way either. Both are awesome cars when set up right Cheers Mat

Niz, making THAT call for me was so hard so i know where your coming from. Im not saying do it now (if i was you, i woul dgive it a week and then cal), so just have a think and do what you thinks best. In the end you'll make the right decision.... Ignore the world for the moment and do things for yourself. You seem genuinely upset so when someone says "get over it" tell em to phuck off!!! Alot of people dont understand. Niz. from a guys perspective, i think i can see the exact reason he does and says these things. If he contacted you for a big D+M chances are he wanted to say sumthing etc but couldnt (maybe couldnt find a way, or you didnt go about it properly (which chiks can and tend to do!! lol). Guys tend to want girls to reassure them in those sort of situations. Same thing happened to me... with ex GF When he was saying he saying he was a champion and stuff, he MAY have been trying to put himself above you and make you think, "shit, this guys good, maybe we should try to work things out" or woteva. Alot of guys act like that, to make themselves feel better. as for sunday, the chick clearly doesnt mean anything to him. If she did, he would act like he did with you. Hes just putting her in someone elses place (probably yours). Him walking away like he probably did, acheived one thing for him. to make you think about things and maybe feel bad. You said it was like it was someone else in his body, so that says that you know, deep down, it wasnt him.... Ignore his attitudes and stuff. as hard as it is, you have to see past that for a litte while Give it a week or so, call him up (without the chik around) and just be open (say you've changed (and for the worse, that makes guys think) with him. if he acts all macho (im a legend, just ignore it). once a guy gets into a D+M, then u will make progress. just dont ignore it (for yours and his sake) otherwise things will become worse ohh and i have N.F.I either....... just my experiences lol

sounds really similiar...... Its not your fault that hes the way he is. He was obvisouly onto a good thing (u!!) and he stuffed it up and is making things worse now. EVERYONE has complete control of their actions. if i was you i would speak to him (the hardest part)....... and i dont mean just a general chat. Show him you care (but make sure he doesnt think, "ohh she wants back in"). You obviosuly still care (or you wouldnt be so cut up), so just sit him down and talk to him. have a big D+M with him. At first he WONT listen and he wont be 2 happy. but when you leave (upset too, mite i add) he will sit down and think. a week later he'll get in contact and take it from there. thats wot happened in my circumstance, and although very bad at times, it worked out

haha yeh sounds pretty similiar!! I used to think that as well. i was single for ages, met a few girls, i liked but there was nothing really there etc. Started lacking confidence, self esteem etc. used to think i would die alone etc (hey, when you starting getting depressed, everything turns bad!). If i can find someone, im sure you will too! There will be a light at the end of the tunnel. Its just that you have to pass a few dark spots and bends to see it!

Yeh i've been in a pretty similiar circumstance. You leave, you see them 12mnths down the track and you see the've changed (for the worse). It tore me up inside (because although it ended, i never stopped loving her or caring for her) and it screwed me around for ages. couldnt sleep properly, everything turned to shit etc. She still cared (as he probably does) and i just confronted her. At first she resented me and really disliked me, but eventually we sat down and sorted it all out. a few weeks down the track she came good. It hurt me (and her) alot but now where good mates (which ididnt think would be possible) and i have a great GF! It all works out though! haha i get to watch jerry everyday!

Good to here your feeling a bit better. its none of my business, but just dont run away from it all. As much as it can really hurt and screw u around, stand up and face it front on. people just say go off and forget about it, get drunk or wotever it just comes back and worse! The free sessions arent to bad for working out a program and stuff but they tried to con me into signing up for a personal trainer, which is like another $100 a month.... BamBam. It shouldnt be a probelm. I've gone to 3 different gyms (ossy park and 2 up my way), so it shouldnt be any different for you

Yeh the P.trainer i used for my free session worked out a program but i hate running and i hate the treadmill so thats why i spend more time on the x trainer. Last time i did weights as well as cardio stuff and it litterally made me sick. I think i'll just stick to seperate sessions!

Yeh i dont start work until the arvo so i just go in the mornings, when i have nothing else to do. The X trainer is a killer. The first time i went on it i could barely manage 10min (im so unfit). Now i just do 15min on bike, 15min on X trainer, 15min bike again and 15min X trainer. The bike kinda brings me back to a good level!!

hahahaha goodstuff! that was my lifestyle for 3 years. Its good for a while (then gets boring cause you have no money and nothing to do cause your mates are at work)

yeh im doing similiar stuff 3 days a week i just do 30min of bike and 30min on X trainer while the opther 2 sessions i just do the weights circut. Still early days i know but are you feeling a bit healthier and stuff. have you gone on special diet or just eating sensibly?
