Hey guys Ive got a RB20DET silvertop up for sale I had it in my R31 87 silo, it ran a 13.5 at calder park. Engine comes with AFM, Wiring loom which has been chopped into and modified, ECU, R33 Turbo, all coil packs. Pretty much a complete engine. But doesn't come with a fly wheel At the moment the engine has a XF throttle body, but has no TPS. So it ran a little rough on take off. I am throwing in the Stock throttle body, but i don't have the TPS. Also the wiring for the TPS on the loom has been chopped and modified. I am also throwing in the stock r32 turbo. This would suit someone who knows a bit about cars and engines, and wants to put it in their R31. Or can be used to replace a blown engine. Engines only done 110 000 km I am also throwing in the piping that goes into the throttle body (as pictured) but it doesn't have the stock blow off valve, and has has a few holes drilled in it, where i had a pressure switch and extra injector. Engine is also leaking a little bit of oil from somewhere, i think a seal is leaking a little. not leaking much tho I'm not sure how much its worth, so i'm gonna start it at $1,100 (the R33 turbo its self is worth 300-400) Also for sale is a 3 inch mandrel bent front pipe/dump pipe (as pictured) A great upgrade from stock dump pipe $200 Engines located in Montmorency (Near Eltham) And the front pipe is in Greensborough Any questions don't hesitate to ask. I am happy to tell you everything about the engine Shaun [email protected]

Where abouts are you located? And how much you looking for it?

Good news, It was just a vacum leak One of the plugs that was plugging up a nipple ripped and came off So no blown turbo for me :-) Thanks for the help
-
Thanks Much appreciated Hopefully it is only a vacum leak I will find out tomorrow Thanks again
-
Thanks If my turbo were blown would it be generating any boost?
-
Hey guys I was trying to set my boost today, and as i was driving it went up to 20 pound for a split second My cars a rb20 silvertop with r33 turbo It is now making a loud wooshing noise like air is pushing out, it is still generating boost but stops around 6-7 psi, but i have the rb20 actuator so it should be around 11 or 12 Would my turbo be blown, or just a major vacum leak? I have checked all the intercooler pipes (but it is night, so i can't see everything), but nothing seems to be wrong any ideas? Also idle is very rough and jumps down to about 100 and back up constantly Thanks for any help

Need Help With Rb20 Consult Cable
shaunmlawry replied to shaunmlawry's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Tried changing the TX and RX wires, still said can't find ECU. The cable is a USB one, no serial port. Thanks for the suggestions guys, this has me stumped TX has about 10v RX has .4v And CLK has around 2.4V Can someone with a USB cable maybe measure the voltage readings that they are getting on the cables in the USB plug just before they go into the computer, this should tell me if my cable is working properly. Tomorrow i am gonna get a mates computer and see if it works on it, it might just be my laptop Thanks again -
Need Help With Rb20 Consult Cable
shaunmlawry replied to shaunmlawry's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
all the drivers are installed, and windows picks up the cable fine. Its just all the programs that arn't picking up the ECU, only the free Conzult software says can't open port, the others try and find the ECU but can't Is there any manual way of testing the consult cable? -
Hey guys I have put a RB20 silvertop into my R31. I have bought a consult cable, one of the blitz ones. I have installed everything, and directly wired it into the ecu wires. But my software isn't picking the ECU up. Is there anything special i have to do to get it working? Also does anyone know what voltages are supose to be on the TX, RX, and CLK cables? I am getting an error can't open my com port as well. I am thinking this might be the problem. But if anyone could give me the voltage readings, it would be greatly appreciated Thanks for any help Is this right? Black = Ground Blue = CLK White = RX Yellow = TX Red = 12V

Hey guys, my cars not running the best at the moment and i think it might be due to the fact that i don't have a tps (because i upgraded my throttle body) i have modified a tps for my new throttle body but i have found a problem. The tps input to my ecu is a constant 4v before i have touched it. Shouldn't it be 0v if i havn't plugged in my tps? Thanks for any help
-
Hey guys, Just after a rb20 silvertop TPS Would have to be able to send it to me (melbourne) Thanks
-
Hey guys, Just after a rb20 silvetop TPS, have to be able to send it to me (I am in Melbourne) Thanks
-
I have placed a resistor in it but it doesn't go all the way up to 4v on full throttle. Full throttle is only 3.3 volts. So i don't have it wired in at the moment As for the r33 powerfc if anyone has done this with success can they please post what had to be done, and if they have had any hiccups. Thanks guys
-
Also can you calibrate the tps voltage with a powerfc? I have a modified one in mine and it has a different voltage range
-
Thanks Has many people done it this way? What would be the worse i could do to the powerfc?
-
Hey guys, I am looking at putting an aftermarket computer into my rb20 cause my fuel economy is very shit. I was wondering if the new r33 powerfc's can be modified the same way to work with the rb20? And if i were to plug in the r33 powerfc would my car start up and allow me to tune it? Thanks Shaun

Clutch Problems
shaunmlawry replied to chriso_R33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I had the same problem when i installed my clutch. To fix it i just adjusted the clutch pedal, make it so it pushes the clutch in furthur. (There will be a bolt you have to undo a bit, if you have a look under there you will see what is needed)
