I dont have a TT... ...I just take it easy as im approaching my destination, and usually wait about 15-20 odd seconds (Usually spent closing windows, sunroof, side mirrors) before switching it off....but i never let it sitting idle as you'll end up trapping a bit more heat due to no/less airflow.

...as far as getting a GTR cooler, im sure they are interchangable. From what i understand the GTR cooler is bigger than the GTST one....

Im surprised the person doing the conversion for you didnt realise this. As far as i know, when changing ANY auto to manual (or viceversa) the ECU needs to be changed.....unless its a carburetted car, in which case there would be no ecu at all

Never mind; I have only just now received their email after a few days waiting... Reply was: "Type 2: the cooler has longer end tanks than the type 1 cooler." I suppose the question now is if anyone knows if the one with bigger end tanks fit behind my bumper bar? (Longer end tanks is better yer?) Pic of my bumper below: ^That's my car^

Im looking at maybe getting an InterCooler kit from Just Jap for my R33 S1 GTS-T and noticed that they have two types which look relatively the same and have same dimentions but at different prices. LoL...i would go with the fan idea.....that's if u could fit one thats 120cm I find it strange that the amps dont have an overheat protection. Dont they all these days? (Maybe not the el cheapo) If its the Power cables that are heating up and frying then your using too thin a cable... Im looking at mounting two amps next to the battery, one ontop of each other in a kinda "shelf" configuration; ..with space inbetween for ventilation of course....

ummm...when u take off the oil pan to get to the filter dont u need to replace the gasket? ...so wouldnt it just be worth it to get the gasket/filter kit for 70 bucks? Im not sure...havent done it on mine yet...

Interesting thread this is..... So if i used Shell 100 in my 33 that has no pfc, just exhaust & 10pound boost, it would be worth it for me? ...or should i keep my $3 a week

I'll be attempting wat rb25_vl typed above this week.....one hose in wif one going out... Although i didnt know you could use Dexron III....always thought it was something else???? Can anyone else confirm?

Thanks for the positive input gdogzgtr... I was a lil disheartened by a few of the comments made in my thread in the Events area but at least by having a police officer give positive feedback it simply reinforces my statements made in that thread. Thankyou. I remember who you are as i was standing next to Craig whilst he was giving you some details...It was great to see a member of police take a postive interest in our cruise.... To give you a better idea i checked how many maps were sold at the last cruise.....120. So that means that a minimum of 120 cars were there as i doubt every single car had a map.... This one is tipped to be even bigger as we have grown heaps since then! See ya at the cruise! ....and dont forget to bring that extra jacket for the last meet point

Im not 100% sure on the exact figures....but it felt like there was over 100 cars there...and easy over 250 people altogether. In regards to getting "hassled" ...we dont. But just like any mass congragation of people the police will have a sticky beak (as per usual) as im sure any car club in Vic would experience. They may have a quick drive around the meet point just to make sure everything is ok and thats about it....if anything, people start taking fotos and having convos with them! ...its quite entertaining actually! LoL In saying that, if people decide that they wanna drop a burnout or turn up in a vehicle that is grossly unroadworthy then the Police will stop them....but that comes down to your own stupidity!

HaHa! You're probably right! ....although considering all the cars that attended only one received a canary; and if you had of seen his car it was ridiculously low. I dont think there was even any springs in it! ummm...ok, not sure if ur just being sarcastic there. But yea like i said above, only one car received a canary and that's coz it was ridiculously low. I'll probably bring a box of Uniden 2-way radios and give ya one for 20 bucks or something... But otherwise, yer just follow the group! As well as Ausrevs having zero tollerance for hooning behaviour on their Officials, we frown upon unsafe/unroadworthy vehicles as does SAU. Generally if im just cruising around i drive with o/d on. If im planning to give it a bit of boot, then i'll switch it off and maybe drop to second to get the revs right up.....

If the temps are still ok, and you're not loosing any water/coolant anywhere then i wouldnt worry about it. It goes away after a few seconds yeah? ...Mine does the same...so does my VR Commodore and my Dihatsu Charade and havent had any dramas yet....
