From what i remember, you are allowed to have a system installed but the bottle must be disconnected and/or empty. Could've changed recently, not sure......
  2. I prob wouldn't recommend stickin your hand in there and cranking the car.....
  3. No such law as entrapment in Aust.
  4. If you got the money then go the 34
  5. Power lines, transformer? ...They could be dodgy omitting some level electromagnetic field. I know of a non-car related problem where an electrical cable was crossed over a data cable bringing down the whole system. Gas leak coming from drain? ....Maybe entering the intake stuffing the a/f ratio? Or doing something to the afm? ....Actually it may be so. Maybe ur alarm re-acts to other phone towers that his won't and vice versa? Maybe there's one a block away that you cant see?
  6. Any mobile phone towers near by? Your own mobile? Dodgy? Telephone box on the corner? Power lines, transformer? Gas leak coming from drain? You break without clutching almost stalling coz ur in a hurry to get past ur ex gf house? Dodgy electrical equipment in someones front yard? ...last years xmas display was dodgy? Any suspicious vans with blacked out windows that have "Pizza Delivery" on the side and a big mofo satellite dish on top omitting an electro magnetic pulse as u come close?
  7. That seems about right for a camera of that range. If you wanted better you'd prob have to upgrade camera and get something with a better/larger sensor. Also, comparing the original to the crop you've zoomed in quite alot. Thing is though, even if you had no noise in the crop the pic is still extreemly pixelated so getting rid of it would be of little benifit.
  8. Those pics are mint! ....what lens did you use?
  9. I rekon -It will reduce illegal street meets substantially. -It will reduce general hoon behaviour to some extent. Sometimes on odd occasions people get the urge to put their foot down...
  10. LoL, i knew the "excuse" would've been a good read. Whilst you shouldnt let them get away with something like this as they are responsible, taking it back for them to work on it again to fix it would make me a lil nervous I'd probably take it back demanding a new sump and (if the thread was indeed re-tapped) a drain of oil to ensure against loose metal filings. I'd also be standing there watching like a hawk whilst they did the work just in case
  11. ^^^LOLLLL i remember them pics^^^ Seriously tho, you dont have to be fully sik to get caught out un-expectedly. And due to the fact that it just doesnt rain all that often anymore we need to be wary that everyone's wet driving experience has decreased slightly....
  12. Please ge back to us with their "excuse" for using the spark plug..... ...would be an interesting read.
  13. Thats a bit stupid... I always thought that seeing as you pay a price in full for the plate to be made up initially and rego is for the vehicle for 12months. If you have 3months left on rego and the vehicle is going to be de-registered you then claim 3months back as the plates have already been payed for in full.
  14. It depends on the circumstances and what the court sees fit... Dangerous Driving: A fine upto 240 penalty units or imprisonment up to 2years or both. License canceled for 6months or if you did more than 45km p/hr above the limit, 12months. Careless Driving: First offense = up to 12 penalty units Second offense = up to 25 penalty units Racing: Would come under the new hoon laws... One penalty unit = $100 ....but see your lawyer in case i missed anything above.
  15. Sorry if this isn the correct section; wasnt sure where else it would go... Anyways, This problem has got me stumped as there doesnt seem to be anything consistent which would provide me with a lead other than it happens during relatively warm/hot days.... Sometimes, whilst driving under normal conditions i'll watch the temp on my pfc slowly creeping up and up getting to above 100degrees! Went to 106 and pulled over ready to switch it off and noticed it slowly come down again! I've already flushed it before, and the pump was done just before i got the car. Im guessing it could be the clutch fan not locking up properly coz when i turn off the car to go check it (at about 90degrees) the fan seems to spin relatively freely. .....Maybe its locking up sometimes and maybe not ya rekon????? If it is the fan, can they be reconditioned? ..or where can i get a new one? The other possibily is a sticking thermostat which i very much doubt otherwise the temp wouldnt creep up -it would shoot up. Again, this doesnt seem to happen all the time; its irregular. Running the a/c doesnt seem to make much difference either....
  16. Well its coming upto a long weekend, and i wanna go away somewhere but im stumped for ideas. Im sick of the typical places like Philip Island, GOR, Lorne, etc, and was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on something a lil different? Nothing tooo expensive tho... Anyone else going away?
  17. $130 for competition cars....... ...............Does anyone know if that's a jacked up price also?
  18. Isnt the Gen American?
  19. Earlier meet means i may actually be able to attend for the first time!
  20. ROFLLLL...i've did the same thing last oil change. Stupid thing is though, i was looking at the old filter on the floor thinking "....hrrmm, that filter looks *different* than the new one, but i cant figure out why."
  21. Thanks for that djr81... Im kinda hoping to not have to buy rims as that would add even more to the money i gotta dish out but i might have to... The noise isnt *tooo* much of a problem as its my second car; im just wondering how it would cope if i decide to go for a burn around the block and it decided to rain on me coz they dont seem to have as much tread as a street tyre obviously....dont wanna end up sliding into the gutter lol
  22. Im looking at getting RE55's on my GTR32, with the standard rims... I know they're good on the track, but how good are they on the street? More particularly, wet/raining streets...??? Any advice/recommendations welcome P.S: I noticed the sticky thread on tyre recommendations, but farked if im gonna go through 33odd pages looking for something remotely close to an answer
  23. Im in the same boat here; dont know very much about em and which one would be better -DvD, HDD, Card, etc I fell like when i go shops the salesmen know im a newb and swarm on me like a pack of seagulls after ur chips....
  24. So true; i do the same. ....If its raining then i'll stay in the car -fark him! If they're not out the car yet, i just wait by my driver side door or boot. ewhs, I doubt you'd get a fine.
  25. Unless you had a prior leak somewhere else the only place i can think you'd get water is through the pod. Similar thing happened to me with the Commodore a while back (spluttering and coughing), just drove it easy for a bit and the water will work its way through.... The only other thing could be some sort of elec damage....
