    Meet The Parents

Righto... Time is drawing nearer, nerves are growing day by day... and as far as I can tell/heard, i have a need to be nervous. As this is the first time meeting the parents after a 2+ year relationship... its pretty much a prospective marraige introduction. So... Im after some serious pointers for the right things to do. I spent approx a total of 5 years in Japan, so Im up on the general day to day customs and what not, but I know this is a very important meeting as the family are quite traditional and this is their eldest, daughter. Imput appreciated cheeRS
  3. yeah.. i was naughty a few years back and dont want to give my details to soft/voda/jphone was just hoping someone had a current prepaid that is in aus and not using it.. just an idea. i will go the rental at the airport though if I have no luck cheeRS

My old tuka is past it recap date and I believe they went under as well??? anyhow, if someone in aus, that has a prepaid still in term and is willing to lend it for 3weeks from begining of august, shoot me a pm.. willing to pay a fee for use as well.. basically just need mail to find people in the masses cheeRS glenn
  5. anyone got this documentation? would be greatly appreciated cheeRS
  6. Interesting read... lol at smackdown from momo so it would seem all the long termers have come to the conclusion that Japan is not a place they would like to live out their lives. After 5 and a half years there, I too know it is not the place for me, sure it has many perks, but in terms of a family, I would not like to bring up my child there. I find my patience with the things that I became negitive with gets less and each time I visit. Maybe its an age thing. I wouldn't change my time there, as it certainly taught me many vaulable lessons about myself and what in life I value. Ironically, I was less tolerant of gaijin than the Japanese were.
  7. 過給器付き This is the text in Japanese ... If it helps
  8. basically stands for "turbocharger equiped/installed" see sig \/
  9. Impressive work. Word of warning though, I recently saw a similarly very expensive engine suffer a fire due to an unsupported fuel regulator mounted on the end of a fuel rail which caused a speedflow fitting to fatigue and crack. Lucky for him, when it finally failed it only had residual fuel pressure, if the car was running he may have lost the whole thing.
  10. another from Osaka, getting close to the 4.5 year mark which is scary when you add it all up. Teaching english of course, ended up here totally by luck after staying abit longer than my appointed stopover. originally had ideas of finding construction work to get by on.. hmm. I wont be making the 5year mark... time to go... soon
  11. Well if you spot a gaij with a grey cap and a blue and white backpack.. say gday. glenn
  12. Streeter, thanks for that... still 20kg sea and air though right? Also, do you have an approx weight for that exhaust? Ive got someone wanting a system for a s13, Im trying to explain to them it may be very expensive if I have to split the system in 2 parcels if weight goes 20+ Might as well ask here too... anyone heading to the Automesse on the sunday? cheeRS glenn
  13. no suprise there... no such thing as a straight answer here. 2 of my rims together are 10cm over the 2m rule... i wonder if i wrapped them round would they go on circumference?? it would certainly perplex them.
