Guys, Some little turds nocked off the boots 'nissan' badge (the one that covers the keyhole for the boot). Can this be replaced as my understanding is that it mechanically sits on which provides a swinging motion? any help would be good, she looks bare! haha Cheers, Steve.

Guys, Reversing the car up the driveway for the fitment of a new clutch. The car hasnt moved in quite some time from its original position due to a badly slipping clutch etc etc. Anyways, i smelt fuel. got on my hands and knees and found fuel dripping behind the rear drivers side wheel. its only happening when the car is on and the fuel gauge has not moved at all. Any ideas? Im guessing a leak in the fuel line, but could this be because the car hasnt ran for nilly 3-4 weeks? Cheers, Steve. ***All fixed.... Founda tiny crack in the fuel line. I cut of off and reclamped it!

Guys, Dont you hate it when your clutch slips so bad that the car basically refuses to roll anymore? I DO !!! Im guessing the jap driver used to thrash it, as i would be considered a granny driver the way i have treated this thing upon its arrival to Oz - so i doubt it was 'old' Basically, i need a new clutch. I dont need an expensive heavy duty wham bam thankyou mam type one... Just something that is going to make it run half decent for when i sell the bloody thing. I had been quote $792 installed - clutch incl.... Or $282 for labour when supplying my own clutch kit. I dont believe id have to pay $500 for a clutch kit. Justjap are selling the nissan clutch kit for $300.... Any ideas of where i could get anything cheaper if available? As i said, i only need to get this thing to drive decent so it sells. Cheers, Steve.

Hi Guys, After confusion about what I can and cannot have with alarms, i emailed my insurance broker - just cars - to find out the real story. I found what they had to say was quite interesting. Read on if you please.... Hi Steve, Apologies if there was some confusion in our initial reply. I'll attempt to answer your query as best I can. First of all, unless you have specifically been advised otherwise, we never actually require an alarm to be fitted to a vehicle as a policy condition. It would invariably be in the best interests of your vehicle's security to have one, but it's something we don't formally require. As such, we would not deny a theft claim on grounds of the particular model / specification of an alarm you had fitted alone. Many of our policies DO require the fitment of an Australian Standards 2 point engine immobiliser (or better) to be fitted to the vehicle for it to be covered in the event of a theft claim. If this requirement applies to you, it will be listed under the 'Endorsements' section of your quote, or the operator would have advised you if you spoke to us over the phone. If we have advised you that an immobiliser is required for your car to be covered in the event of a theft claim, an alarm alone will NOT suffice. This would be different though if the alarm also included an engine immobiliser, and that immobiliser conformed to our required standard of covering at least 2 points. The only immobiliser requirement we have is as Matt previously stated; it has to be an Australian Standard 2 point and has to immobilise at least 2 parts of the car (e.g. fuel pump & ignition). We don't at present require blackwiring so this isn't something we would take into consideration. I hope this has been of some assistance. If you have any further queries please feel free to e-mail us again or if you prefer, speak to one of our Motor Specialists directly on 13 13 26. We are open between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 3pm Sunday, Eastern Daylight Savings Time. Sorry to butt in on the thread... But i just want to confirm how to reset the ecu.... I read somewhere, all that is required is that you disconnect the Batt and stomp on the break a few times, reconnect the batt and do the above.... That sounds to simple..... was someone having a lend of me? hehe Cheers, Steve.

Hi guys, Just looking at doing my own install and having trouble working out where to put the crossover and placement of the tweeter and so forth.... The rear speakers are piss easy to put on.... the fronts are a pain for placement. The woofer is 6.5", will i need anything special (spacers) to mount the woofer in the door? Any tips would be fantastic, i cant seem to find any guides for r33 installs apart from HU's Cheers, Steve.

Hey, Im after a good, cheap, front bar (w/grill is a bonus) for a gtrt r33 I need to scrap the standard one as its ugly - as we all know If anyone knows of a cheap place, then let me know. Already painted or in snow white is a bigger bonus. Cheers, Steve. [email protected]

Hey! Just quick one. Can an R34 exhaust be fitted to a R33..... If so, what are the differences... Im being told it would just be the mounting brackets which may need to be cut and rewelded (at the most) Would you agree??? Cheers, Steve.
