  7. hey 1) the turbo will be under less stress than the stock item, so theorectically it should be more reliable? i would also imagine that a 2510 wouldnt be too much laggier than a stock turbo. but the extra 400cc would help the spool rate of the larger turbo quite considerably, so again it would only take mildly longer (about 250-500 rpm) to spool than stock. no? people say that the 2510 spools very quick on a 1.8L and 2.0L. why wouldnt it be quick to spool on a 2.4L? 2) about the RWD RB26. your right it is the opposite and the effort put in to put in the get the 1J would probably be better off put into making the RB26 RWD. but it was just a passing thought as a few people have done it into the S13 chassis and even the S14 (Izumida) and have been quite successful. so i thought why not in an R32. its a better engine than the RB25. but thats not the point of this topic. if you want to tell me other wise PM me. I dont want to fill this post up with random stuff that isnt even related to the topic of getting more torque out of the RB20.
  8. if i was in this situation, i doubt i would swap in an RB30ET. i feel as if this is a down grade in engine. sure you get your torque and all the rest, but it just wouldnt sit right with me. the way i would go about it would probably be a 2.4L stroker kit and possibly a bolt on turbo, maybe a GT2530 or KKR 330?. (as well supporting mods) or even with out the stroker, go for something like the GT2510 or something small that will kick in pretty early in the rev range. give you some much needed low-mid range power/torque. the 2510 will make 200rwkw (more or less depending on variables) which the RB20 will make with stock injectors or at least 440cc/min. just a final thought that i will probably get FLAMMED HARD CORE for this seeing that it is a toyota and this is a nissan forum, but ever thought of the 1JZ? very similar engine to the RB26. cheaper, no hassle of swaping the RB26 into RWD mode? just some food for thought. good luck with you decision brendan try http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=103095 for more ideas, with out stroking
