Yea, it doesnt say you have to have a cat, just that u have to comply with emission laws, and that the exhaust shouldnt exceed the volume of the std one by a noticeable amount... I dont know how some cars get over the pits... Ive done nearly all my work to my car this holidays Gotta get the permits now before i can drive it anywhere though

Bummer, cruise is for early May now though w00t, i got my exhaust all off and chopped up n stuff now, and the air pod connector and heat shield getting made for me For freeeee!! My dad is a boilermaker, he can make that for me for nothin, was $40 in marlows just for the pod connector

Im gonna RICE my engine bay over the holidays too.... but im gonna use just hi-temp engine paint, i think you can.. (to metal parts obviously).. sand paper... VERY FINE.. then use a bit on a drill to buff and polish sorta.. then spray it with clear coat hi gloss laquer...That should make it come up pretty sweet. I did that with my push bike a few years back now, and it turned up ok. Or, go to a chroming place, one push bike is about $60 to chrome, so i think most of the parts in the engine bay wouldnt be over $100ish.. $200ish.. depends what you want to Rice... i mean chrome.

The top part of it looks plastic? what is the actually surround made of? Looks like material of some sort, i thought originally that it was fibreglass...

My oh my... must be something with newer cars then, i dunno what the hell a cat does, cep for make it lose power, and filter more crap thru, but its worth keepin it on there then. I made a very nice setup for my old 202 a while back with two - piece extractors joining to one with a single muffler before the diff curve, and a big hotdog at the back. Fully ricey, but the 202 was worked, so i didnt really care. 17" rims too...NOO!!! I Miss em :'(

Has anyone made a custom exhaust for their car? I have planned what i want to make for mine, and i want to know if i can exclude the cat convertor, the South African R31's dont have cats, and they have more power due to this, so... i dont care for legality really, the permits will come later, i want to do the work while i can over Easter. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Nate =o)

Look at the parts used in the movie and you will see Crazy sized NOS bottles though, i mean, of course they arent 10 second cars, maybe 12 though, but they still go hard... i dont promote RICE, dont get me wrong here

I got the 1971 skyline unlocked on gran turismo on sony... hahahaaa... runs like crap, the other cars i have on this memory card at the moment, are R31, 32, 33, 34.. HKS Drag.. All the skylines! And the Ruf, thats a wikkid car too... but ohhh how i want that R31 in that game to come real!
