seen a white mk1 escort, with a 378 cube clevo in it. also, i nearly bought a white hi-ace van a few months ago, with a 302 in it. on the fantasy front, i think a ovlov 240 with the entire running gear from a gtr would be amusing.

yeah, i've got the toyota minolta, and the r92 nissan, but i havent had a shot at a top speed run. incidentally, i'm going to have a go at the 1/4 with my bentley, coz as much as other cars may be "faster" i've got that car set up so i'm pretty well unbeatable. I seem to recall having hit low 8's with that fast mercedes (cant remember the exact name of the car atm, cbf turning the ps2 on to find out) but i know the speed 8 is faster. and... ummm... is using the escudo dirt trial car considered cheating, down the 1/4? i'm in the low 8's and i havent even started playing with gearing/suspension yet. shit, i've owned the game for months, and havent played it much, but now i seem to be getting addicted to trying to set records. :S

re top speed. i've hit 509.1km/h in the bentley speed 8, with full nitrous, on qualifyers, minimum downforce, and gearing set to just hit redline in top at that speed. so far i havent managed to get any faster, although i'm still trying to break the 510 mark. incidentally, i also just cleared 500 in the audi r8, and almost hit 500 in the cerbera speed 12 on similar settings. can I take screenshots to prove to anyone who has not already done this that it is possible? (it wasn't difficult, i'm just expecting a few people to come out and call bullshit) otherwise, i'll just get my digital cam and take a photo of the tv screen :S haven't really had a serious shot at 1/4 mile times, so i'll get back to you all on that

another huge ford fan here. not bad, although, i think ford, in the current automotive climate (ie, coupes, turbo's and drivability being issues ppl look at nowaday's rather than pure cubic inches), would do well to release a cutdown 2 door, based on the falcon chassis (just like the monaro from holden), with the 4L turbo 6, and awd. did someone say Ford GTR?

had that clip for years. it's not a comparison between the two cars, as much as they are tested back to back, they do not compare them directly. the two drivers are just giving their own take on the good and bad angles of the two modified cars. obviously the skyline is going to be a beast around the track, but i'll bet you the supra would be easily as much fun to drive. ;-) nb: dont shoot me down in flames, i'd still take the GTR over the supra, anyday.

okay, I'm 21, and looking to buy my first Skyline. I've driven a few R32 gtr's, and I'm hooked. I applied for a loan through a very well known finance company, and they said they are not interested, unless It's a post 97 car, and they wont lend me more than 15k. they took a couple of day's to come to that decision, but, from reading other posts here, it would appear to be a standard response to young ppl wanting a loan. incidentally, my job/pay is not an issue. i'm being paid plenty enough to keep up repayments, and i have about 30% deposit, it's just my first loan, so they are a bit hesitant. that all being said, I wont even bother approaching the very well known finance company, or any subsidiary of that company again.

hey all, new user here, first drive was last week, stock r32 gtr. i learned to drive in an oldschool GT falcon, and the skyline was so refined and quiet, and just so effortless compared to it. Where the falcon would light up the rears, and try to kill you from about 1500 rpm exiting a corner, the skyline would rev to about 4k before it started getting scary, and just take off towards the horizon. Loved it. I'm now gonna buy one within the next few months.
