are there any differences between the series 2 r33 gtst's? (96-98) in terms of mechanics, interior, exterior. anything at all?

i too would like to know the difference. i know the r34 has a neo rb25, with variable valve timing i think

tiptronics are pretty boring. my cars a tiptronic and its nothing like a manual. mind you my car does hold the gears and dznt shift up ever (even if your banging against the redline), however it does shift down if your going too slow, say at 7kms it would shift into 1st. personally i dont think japanese auto boxes are very good. my friend has an auto s15 and the gearbox is shithole

hi, just wanted to know what the difference between an mspec s2 33 and the normal one. reason being i went to chek out a 33 today but the guy said mspecs only come with side skirts and rear pods? i remember they had a different front bar?

i spoke to some guy with an r34 today and he said he gets 300kms out of a full tank, 98ron. anyone have any for or against arguments for the 33s2 and 34?

thats pretty bad hey. does modding it affect the fuel economy much. thinking in terms of pod, turbo back exhaust and running 12psi (thats what my friends sr20 is running)

so the factory gauges are in a different unit? i always thought they were in psi. what stock boost levels do they run? one of the tuning guides said not to run the stock turbo past 10psi. but some of you guys are way past that? :S

hi, im looking to purchase an r33 or r34 (gtst and gtt respectively) in the near future. theres just a few questions i have which i couldnt find the answers for. Which one has better fuel economy, in standard form (not looking for any beatings here), and how many k's will you get? my car gets 400km out of a 69L tank. Which car responds better to cheap mods such as exhaust etc. my friend told me a mate of his put a cat bak zorst on his 33 and the car's fuel economy fell drastically (lost 100km per tank!) Someone on here mentioned the neo engines weren't as good as the older engines, is there any proof of this? the reason im leaning towards the r33 at the moment is because its cheaper and the fact that i've driven one before (a s1 though, looking to get a s2) and its a very driveable car. the reason im leaning towards the r34 is because of the cleaner/nicer interior. both cars look pretty good in my eyes, also the r34 is less common. sorry for the long post, but im trying to do my research as ill be looking to keeping the car for quite a while. thanks

whats making you change from an rb to an sr?

can your ecu system be detected? or does it overwrite the stock ecu settings

ive got autometer cobalts on mine (boost/vac on an xr6 turbo). my gauge is pretty accurate when there is constant acceleration (auto, gauge is mechanical), however when i floor it and it kicks down a gear, it spikes up to 10psi, and then returns to 6psi. my gauge also lags abit because i have kinks in the nylon tubing, which i will be replacing soon.
