  1. Thanks... I already have a GT35R (0.63 exh) from my RB20. Didn't want to buy another turbo if i didn't have too. Cheers
  2. What do you guys think of a RB25/30 with the GT35R and the small 0.63 ext ??? Too responsive for a sub 1000kg car ???
  3. Do you have the head ?? If so how much and what is it missing ??
  4. I had a problem like yours from 5000rpm it felt like i was towing another car behind me, similar to poping off a cooler pipe. It ended up being the vacuum line from the plenum to the fuel reg had popped off.
  5. Can you put my name down please I will transfer the money in the next week Cheers Steve
  6. I am running 20 thou low comp forgies... Top end is std tho 11.0 @ 118
  7. Datsun 120y RB20DET Chipped ECU Z32 AFM GTR injectors with std fuel reg Front mount cooler Auto transmission - 5000rpm stall GT35R 0.6 exh Walbro - surge tank - Bosch 044 3" exhaust 24psi Matt Spry - PITS AFM and injectors are oddly maxing out. Picked up 45rwhp with the new tune. Transmission is being toughned up after not lasting on the dyno, lol. I cant wait to get it to the track. Shift point has now been lifted from 7300rpm to 7900rpm as it is still making power up there Cheers Steve
  8. These guys did my diff... Ask for Steve Diff & gearbox industries 2/ 280 Newmarket Rd Wilston QLD 4051 ph: (07) 3356 8397 Cheers Steve
  9. As I dont have a current dyno sheet to confirm my place in this topic, i guess i will have to get a print out from somewhere soon My car weighs 920kg and does 11.08 @ 118 mph so i would suspect it would be around the low to mid 200kw mark. I am still using the std RB20 AFM so the low 200kw mark would probably be more realistic
  10. Call Kev Rowley (07)3814 4674 He put the RB20 into my Datsun 120y and i run factory management. He also has a R31 with a RB25 Neo with the full tiptronic auto all wired up. He has wired and built many Nissan vehicles with different engine configurations. He can even send you a completed engine harness that will plug in to your car with whatever engine you are running. I guess what i'm trying to say is, I wish he was my Father He wants to RB26 my Datto

Everything went the way it should have.... Next step, 10's
  12. Mercury have tuned mine and i am really happy with it. My car is now my daily driver, is great around town and does 11's down the quarter. I will upgrade to a Z32 afm soon and will take it to them for a retune for more power. In MY personal experience with engine management I would NOT be recommending aftermarket management.
  13. Well at a recent drag meet put on by another car forum I have done a PB for the 1/4 mile. 11.08 @ 118mph Im stoked with this time and now i want a 10 before i get rid of the Nissan engine management. I was able to leave the line with 13psi. Cheers Steve
  14. My Garrett GT35R with the 0.63 exhaust housing gives me 10psi at 4500rpm. I guess it would be laggy but i have an auto and the big stall converter gets it up on boost pretty quickly around town. As said above, lots of info in the search button
  15. Well after finally getting a half decent converter in, last night i did a 11.89 @ 112mph.... 1.71 60 foot time. I will upload the time slip in the next couple of days Here is a pic ..
  16. could you give me rough length/width and height measurements as i would need to measure my Datsun for clearances. Cheers
  17. Auto is stock mate... Just the shift controller and shift kit from MV Automatics. Shift kit dropped my times from 14.1 @ 103 to 13.3 @ 108 before i had the first tune done...This was the best mod i have done so far Im learning more about the car every day
  18. yeah mate... RB20 6 cylinders with the RB25 auto behind it. I guess im lucky and have a weight advantage against the skylines The afm is now before the throttle body with a K&N filter on the turbo The red button on the right dash is the overdrive switch
  19. Glad I found this thread... I will add my Datsun 120Y that has a RB20DET auto Engine has 20thou forgies Walbro + Bosch 044 & surge tank GTR ingectors Stock AFM just before the throttle body 3" exhaust Garrett GT35R 0.63 exhaust 38mm Turbonetics external gate Auto has MV shift kit MV manual shift controller B&M pro ratchet shifter 4200 stall converter trans cooler 185 kw I could only find my 13.1 @ 113 timeslip from yesterday but it has done a 12.9 @ 113. Best 60 foot is a 2.25 I use 205x50x16 Toyo R1-R and a 3.7 lsd diff. I have been told I have the incorrect type of muffler fitted and i need a straight through design.... Damn restrictive V8 muffs.
  20. Datsun 120y RB20DET 20thou forgies stock cams & AFM RB25DET Auto B&M Shifter Garrett GT35R 0.64 exhaust housing 14psi Unknown Walbro pump - Running out of flow GTR Injectors Remapped ECU by Mercury Motorsport 176kw 185kw was pulled but deemed too lean for safe driving. The fuel pump was unable to keep up toward the top revrange... Currently getting a Bosch 044 installed with a surge tank and relocating the AFM to before the throttle body. Best 1/4 mile - 12.95 @ 113mph Future mods.. Z32 AFM or aftermarket ECU 4000rpm stall converter more boost Wanting 250kw at the wheels
  21. Just a quick question... I have this installed to my external gate and although not really a problem, i would just like to understand a bit more as to whats going on..... I have the boost signal coming from the manifold of my RB20. I have just increased the boost from 9psi and now it runs 11psi in first, climbs to about 13psi in second and gets to 16psi in third and i have changed to overdrive and it climbs to 19psi... I have a manual shifted auto with a 5000rpm stall. It is not a problem at the moment as my afr's are coping but i would like consistent boost in the near future Cheers Steve
