Clutch Pedal Sqeaky Not Notchy?
W3asel replied to RedEmblem's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
dont start on pedal boxes........ My pedal box where the actual pedal pivots on the hinges snaped completely on one side and made a loud snap like my trans just dropped hehehehe then the clutch was completely loose and sooo easy to press, gotta get it re welded back up with some reinforcements.......... has anyone attempted doing it themselves??? how much of a bitch is it and what has to be taken apart... my mech quoted 300 for labour and to re weld it and also re inforce with new brackets.... lucky i havnt taken it too him yet.... -
Judging by the response about bel, that place seems pretty good... im lookin for a good mechanic to do some actual mechanic work on my R32 regarding a clutch and pedal box work..... might go to bel and see what they can do What do you guys reckon about Unique auto sports in castle hill????? i have heard they are pretty good???

Clutch Question
W3asel replied to cookie--monster's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hey i had the same problems, it was really hard to get into first gear. (the others where fine) the pedal was really loose and easy to push to the floor The smell from the clutch after car is stopped was really strong like burning / oil smell. Got it checked out and it was more than i thought. At first i thought it was a burnt out clutch......... It was but it was due to a faulty seal from the engine rear, where it meets the trans. oil was leaking into onto the clutch and burning it like a mofo much quicker than normal. the pedal brackets on one side popped off, which made it soo easy to push, i can change gears with 2 fingers now hehehe -
yehh seems normal ey wat would be a temp that is lets say dangerous for the engine??? mine warning is on about 90 degrees...... ???? neva reaches that amount though...
-
thanks heaps fellas how much would you reckon it would cost to get Rear main engine seals fixed up??????? rough price at uniqueautosports?????? anyone have any ideas??? Thanks heaps
