  1. Thanks mate...i'll give that a go sometime...its pretty responsive as is but if i can get full boost even sooner that would be great...i went with this setup mainly because i wanted response and midrange anyway... I just remembered that i'm acutally running next to no preload on the actuator at the moment too...i might shorten the rod slightly to see if there are any gains too...
  2. ^^^Thanks mate... Just out of interest...i'm running a 3076R on a 2JZ (so its similar to a 3076 on a rb25/30)...and i've managed to get the car tuned but its still running the standard small can actuator that the turbo comes with...i've attached the graph of boost response below...it seems to be ramping up to full boost by 3300rpm and holding 18psi perfectly...i was wondering if you guys think there will be more gains in boost response with a large can actuator?
  3. Hi Guys, Got a set of 6 RB20 Coilpacks for sale...all working perfectly...asking for $100... Also got a rb25 crank and rods...this was meant for an engine i was going to build but i have abandoned that idea...asking for $150... Items are located in Notting Hill...Melbourne SE Suburbs...can send coilpacks anywhere but crank and rods have to be picked up as they are heavy... PM if interested...cheers...
  4. Pics would be great...cheers mate...
  5. Hi guys, I need to sell my spare HKS GT3037S-56T turbo...i bought the CHRA from Japan as a spare but i've now decided to sell it...i just got a garrett 3076R comp cover put on it...its the one with the anti surge slots that makes that awesome jet like sound while spooling...make no mistake though...this is NOT a garrett 3076R...it is a HKS 3037S-56T...its brand new and still has the paint markings on the wheels...absolutely no shaft play whatsoever... It currently does not have a rear housing so its up to you to spec up a rear housing with a T3 flange to suit your requirements...these rear housings are available from any garrett distributor in Australia...you can go with a 0.63 or 0.82 or 1.06 exhaust housing with internal or external gate...its up to you... This is awesome turbo for any RB and can make anywhere between 300-350rwkw depending on the setup and with blistering response... I'm asking for $1800 for the turbo and comp cover...you can then choose which ever exhaust housing you want and just bolt it up...alternatively...i can order in and assemble the exhaust housing of your choice for $2500 but i will require a deposit if you choose to do this...brand new from Japan these turbos sell for upwards of $3500...so come and grab yourself and bargain...inspections are welcome if you are in Melbourne...you will not be disappointed... PM if interested...cheers...
  6. Thanks mate, My 3076R has a bent rod and i'm using a custom low mount manifold...how would i be able to use the straight rod 18psi actuator in this case?
  7. Hi mate, I'm running a 3076r too and was wondering if the above mentioned actuator is a straight fit replacement?
  8. Here are a few pics from the US supra forums...
  9. I'm going to have to withdraw unfortunately...the supra won't be ready in time again...see you all at the next one...
  10. Will send entry form tomorrow!!
  11. Genuine garrett 0.82 exhaust housing...and the wastegate pipe on the spint dump is 1 1/4" in diameter...
  12. Yeah...it is spiking or should i say climbing uncontrollably...i'm trying to keep at at 15-16psi but it just shoots up to 20+ regardless...i even disconnected the actuator arm to see if it was actuator related but its not...boost still shoots way up so that rules out the wastegate...the flap also opens fully so its not that...therefore its pointing to the custom CES style split dump somehow not scavenging the wastegate gases fast enough...it seems that most people running 3076s are running a bell mouth type dump too which might be my next step...
  13. Unfortunately i don't...but i'll try to get one if i can get a clear shot of it...could you try to get me a shot of yours? Cheers...
  14. Good day guys, I remember reading a thread some time ago about someone wanting to modify their dump pipe for a GT3076R and there were some very useful photos included there...i can't seem to find the thread after 2 hours of searching...can someone point me to that post if possible? I'm having boost spiking issues with me 3076 on a 2JZ and i suspect it could be due to my dump pipe design... Cheers.
  15. The answer is yes...the R32 rb20det uses a different one too but even the R33/34 RB25 one fits and works fine...
  16. Hmmm...so many options...what kind of power are you after and how much response do you wanna lose down low? i'd lean towards a gt3076 with a 0.63 exhaust housing...or maybe a 0.82 but that might be quite large for a 2.2L...
  17. I'm going to have to pull out...did a head gasket on my supra and decided to go with a turbo upgrade at the same time...SPEWING!!! Hope the other supra represents!! lolz...
  18. Sale fell through because previous buyer backed out...price is still $2200 delivered to anywhere in Australia...
  19. The AFM can be used for any car...but it will have to be tuned to match...all this stuff is from my old R32...can vouch for the quality...
  20. These genuine denso supra pumps are really great units...i drive a supra now and researching them they have been known to flow enough for small to medium singles...lotsa guys running street setups putting out 300rwkw on the stock pumps... Can i ask...where can you get them for $250 new? i've been trying to source them and get quoted over well above $400 for a pump...
  21. I've got a HKS 3037 Pro S 56T if you're keen...its internally gated but should suit your application perfectly... =)
  22. Huh...sorry...didn't get that post...anti PM? fensom1979@hotmail.com?
  23. All PMs replied...lots of enquiries but no takers...
  24. Yup...it was top mounted...but it was originally meant for a rb20/25 so the housing and actuator will have to be rotated back to the original position which is piss easy...it will then bolt straight on to the standard exhaust manifold and you just need the oil feed and coolant lines... As mentioned...price drop now to $2200...get in quick...
