  1. The rb25 turbo is the cheapest and easiest upgrade for a rb20...power will come on just a slight bit later but you'll get used to it very quickly...look at the rb20 results page at the top of this section...you'll be able to study the dyno graphs of those using a rb25 turbo and see how the power delivery is like...
  2. I have one of these babies too on my rb20...made 202kwkw at 15psi with ths usual support mods...exhaust, fmic, fuel pump, z32, injectors and remapped ecu...theres a fair bit more left in it i just need a new front pipe as mine is dented and would be restricting flow...also have a 3" metal cat coming in the main to replace the sh!tty 3" cat i have...will turn the boost up and do another tune...then we'll see how it does....
  3. Yeah mate...its ready for some track work...well...almost...
  4. How much power is it making with that setup? Dyno graph available by any chance?
  5. Where ya located mate? also...there are 2 types of rb20 coilpacks...can you confirm which ones yours are?
  6. thanks for the reply fellas...i have tried the coat hanger method but it can't get thru...i would ideally like to have it on the passenger side as that is where the turbo sits...anyone have any other ideas? Cheers....
  7. Quick question guys, How do you guys get a wire from the engine bay into the cabin on the passenger side? I have to get the wiring loom for my EBC into the cabin...i have removed the grommet where the loom from the engine goes to the ecu but i can't find a way through into the cabin...car is a r32 gtst...can someone help me out? cheers...
  8. I had a BATMBL split dump+front but it wouldn't work with my 2535 as it was fouling the wastegate flap...so i had no choice but to whack the HKS one on...so now i need a 3" front to go with it... By the way rhett...hows it going? Gerald here from mech eng...
  9. It was to reduce detonation...we were getting decent results at 14psi with 6s but then when i wound in 18psi and after several power runs detonation got pretty bad...so you say that you have run high powered engines on 6s with no issues? if so then i might have to look deeper into this matter...i kinda figured that the coils were fine as the engine idled flawlessly with 6s...
  10. Good day fellas, I've been having abit of trouble finding a 3" front pipe for me r32...i need the front pipe only to bolt on to my HKS dump...none of the sponsors sell front pipes indivdually...can someone help me out please? Cheers...
  11. Anyone? I was thinking of splurging on some SPITFIRES but i'm not keen to do so if the coilpacks aren't the problem...
  12. Hi guys, I was wondering if you had any input on this problem i am facing at the moment. I just got a hks 2535 onto my rb20 and got a dyno tune...during which we found the current plugs were too hot and so we whacked some heat range 7 plugs on which were gapped at 0.8mm...when that was done the tune was all good but i have found that the car now idles terribly now...it constantly hunts between 700-1000rpm and misses occasionally...the car however idles fine with heat range 6 plugs...does anyone have any suggestions? what can i do to improve idle quality?
  13. But we have to remember that the 34 turbo is still a ceramic turbo...so anything more than 14psi and you are looking for trouble...
  14. Thats pretty decent...let me check my accounts and i'll get back to you asap...cheers...
  15. I totally agree with that...in the end...a pipe is a pipe is a pipe...i'd rather have a proper mild steel system with proper welds and bends...also...with mild steel if you get cracks its alittle easier to get it welded up...but that said...stainless steel is alittle lighter...which is always a big plus too...
  16. You're shitting me right? a t88 on a rb20 and it makes 12psi by 4800?!
  17. Yes i'm still interested...can i get a quote please?...PM me if you're keen to do so...cheers...
  18. Lol...thats my line... I suggest a t51r spl... But seriously...look at a sliding performance highflow or similar or hks 2530/2535 like nismoid said...
  19. I believe thats because the HKS actuators are already meant to have a base setting of 0.9 or 1 bar...so theres no way you can reduce it back to 7psi or 0.5 bar...
  20. If my any chance you are willing to ship to melb i am VERY interested!!!
  21. Buy one off the sponsors here and bring it to any mechanic or exhaust place to fit...most shops i find tend to overcharge...
