True to form...every time someone asks a question about a BOV you chime in and start abusing people...its getting old...accept that there are people who like the sound of atmospheric bovs and give it a rest...

Thats exactly why i like stop gates...it forces people to time their braking correctly or risk hitting the cone...anyone can floor it through a flying finish...but it takes practice to stop quickly and accurately in a gate...

Also interesting to see that the top 5 cars in the overall standings are RWD...

PM sent regarding a wrong "WD" on MK1...the timer got it wrong and i actually clarified it with her on the next run...

Wrong...just learn a bit if finesse when it comes to braking...rough stabbing movements are always detrimental to good times...look at any good driver...its all about smooth movements... And before this goes on...lets not turn this thread into another heel toe fiasco like the last deca thread... Bring on more pics, vids and the results!!

Wet Decas suck...the last time i was there and it was wet the skidpan was pointless and a mate rolled his car on the back track...really hope it stays dry....

Just had a look on the BOM website and it seems like showers are expected on saturday...that sucks...the skidpan is just pointless in the wet and the awds are just gonna walk away...hope the forecast changes by the time saturday comes around....

Yup...because rb25s don't require the same support mods including a turbo to make similar power right? You'll still need all the same stuff like exhaust, fmic, fuel pump, injectors, ecu and a larger turbo to get to a similar power goal...agreed the 25 will make more torque down low regardless and will get away with a larger turbo for more outright power if that is the goal but for 300-350rwhp like the OP posted the mods needed on both are about the same...maybe injectors won't be required but thats about it...so cost wise it'd be pretty similar...and thats not including the cost of dropping a 25 in...

Why are you bringing the supey instead of your monster gtr? not that i'm complaining...it'd be nice to see another supra there...

^^^ If you're calling a rb20 a turd then you have no idea...lots of guys here running 20s "hung" with 25s on more than one occasion in several different scenarios from track to drag...better put on your flame suit before the fanatics catch wind of this... For the record...i'm not one of those fanatics...but building an rb20 is not a waste of time...it just boils down to what you want to achieve...since you have a 25 in yours...good for you...but its not the only way to go...

An rb20 will always be alittle doughy down low....its inherent in the design of the engine...small capacity and short stroke...there is not much at all you can do for it down low...just make sure it screams once it comes on boost... And IMO...if 300-350rwhp is the goal...the rb20 will make it quite easily...and it'll be a heap of fun too...and if necessary...for that extra kick in the pants...run E85...the extra ignition timing you can wind in will make it a lot more responsive...
