How do you know there cars are stock? Lots of XR's going around with just the EDIT which gives them about 20-40rwkw more.

That guy Cubes is referring to has the fastest XR6T in Australia. 10.24s down the 1/4 mile. I would put my money on the XR6T.

Nice effort Munna. Where's my car? I think the Gtech is quite accurrate however some runs may be questionable. I did a few runs a couple weeks ago. Most were flat 5 but managed one of 4.57 so I doubted it a bit. Haven't taken car out again to confirm. When it was stock the gtech did produce times which were similar to manufacturer times so I wouldn't say it's impossible to achieve the same results. Gtech's are great if you want to see if your mods make much difference to the car. My times didn't change after getting the CAT back so it was useless besides the sound, however after getting a tune it gave me a smile.

You won't need to cubes as the answer was already posted in another thread in this forum. If I had forced induction I would be pulling much more than what I have now. If there was no insurance, drivetrain complications, or warranty issues then I would get one now. I have to wait 2.5 years before I would be serious about it. Heath, You not referring to the VE GTS that only 0.5% of the population can afford are you? Or are you referring to a twin turbo torana that's all hearsay? LS2 in the VE v8's are pretty definate however will be detuned. Can't see nothing that will make the Typhoon look like a barina especially when the 6 speed auto comes out.

Your specific questions in regards to what you need to do to make your car fast would be best answered in the ford forum as theres a whole heap of people who have gone through what you want to. I appreciate why you want to ask the guys here though. Good luck with achieving your aim.

Mods are cat back Remus exhaust and LS2 VCM software update(A form of LS2 edit).

Now that'll be too easy wouldn't it? This guys gonna have a hell of time learning and playing around with the car. At the end of the day he'll have something different. Might not be as good as the GTR but it'll sure be unique and he'll have the satisfaction of knowing that he built it himself. I reckon it's a great effort.

Yeah Geoff. I like the concept of a V8 sounding skyline. That thing is going to be an animal. Who knows what this guy would do next. Throw a twin turbo or supercharger on it as they are pretty common for ls1's now.

Tint professor might have good prices but there quality is not up to scratch. Drove home with a few bubbles(spears). Managed to push a couple down but there was one obvious one that remained. Took it back and they had to do one whole window again. Drove home and the next day another spear appeared. I had to keep pushing it down every day until it totally dissappeared.

Vinh1981, I think he is referring to the nunnawading store as I remember the tint professor is right next door. I'd stay away from tint professor as well. LOL

LOL, I'm going to check for any squeeks and crunching of gear box when I drive home from work today. Linear, it sounds like your friend has a series 1 VT SS which has the 5 litre engine. Don't think you have much to worry about if you get the GTST however the series 2 and above which has the LS1(5.7litre) engine may give you a hard run.

He's right. More credit will be given to your post if you keep an open mind. WHT11 has both cars and is speaking from experience so he's in a position for people to take him seriously when he comments about them. Those who just knock other cars but skylines are skyline enthusiasts and not car enthusiasts. Try and look at the good things for both cars. If you've owned/driven a XR6T before and say it's crap then at least I know you're saying it from experience.

Roy has already mentioned the HSV Coupe 4 Dim1. It's not selling because it's so damn unaffordable. I think it's about 80-90K.
