  1. Pretty sure you still need the resistor pack if you have a safc. If you are only chasing 200rwkw then i'd stick with the standard injectors and maybe bolt on a nismo fpr. My Rb20 made 202rwkw with standard injectors on 16psi. But then again dyno's are different.
  2. If it is the pedal box then the clutch pedal should also feel a little bit loose and have some sideways movement. I've done it in my 32. There are 2 bolts that hold the pedal box. Two hold it on to the firewall and bolt through to the clutch master cylinder. The other one is bolted directly above the clutch pedal behind the dash. Any workshop will weld it back together for you. $20
  3. Ok its definitly not an 02 sensor. If it was an O2 sensor why would they put if after the cat??????? (cat removes unburnt fuel & cat sensors unburnt fuel) I am 99% sure its a heat sensor. Ohh and when i ment they were the same. They are interchangable, the gtr cat is obviously better. Pretty sure you can't solder the wires either because the sensor/wires get that hot it would melt the solder off again. I'd say ditch the sensor.
  4. I always thought 32Gtr and 32Gtst cats were the same because it is very common for people with a gtst to install the gtr cat. A possibility is to not run the sensor at all. The sensor does not effect how your engine runs in any way. However it does let you know if your exhuast starts to overheat which i have never heard of happening. I do know 100% that your correct in saying the arrow on your cat is pointing in the same direction as the exhaust flow.
  5. I have also changed the injectors in an rb20det. I didnt have to take the plenum off either. You just have to remove the cooler pipe going to the plemun and a few vacuum hoses and then unbolt the fuel rail. When you replace the injector seals, makes sure they are genuine nissan ones because the ones that Mr Injector Cleaning Man sells you are slightly smaller. You could also pay someone around $250 for them to do it. Thats how much they were going to charge me.
  6. Beat me to it^^^^^^^^^^^^ I've heard its safer to put the spacesaver on the rear. 1st Reason: Braking - When a car brakes hard most of the stopping is done with the front wheels. 2nd Reason: Cornering - More force is put on the front wheels during cornering. 3rd Reason: Weight - Most cars are heavier in the front than the rear.
  7. I'd say go the bosch 040 intake. I bought and installed one in my old 32. No problems.
  8. I always had 235's on 10.5" rims. Same reason as said before, any bigger would rub.
  9. could be a blockage in the exhaust eg cloged cat
  10. Here are some of my ex-skyline. Damn i miss it...
  11. Give Option 1 Garage a call. They have a r32 replacement clutch line for sale at the moment on ebay. Its goin for $25 i think. Option 1 Garage 7 Remora Rd Hamilton , Brisbane QLD 4007 Phone : 3268 1113 Fax : 3268 2028
  12. If you install the walbro and bosch pumps correctly then you will not have the 1/3 tank problem. I have had the experience of both walbro and bosch pump in my 93 gtst and have driven my car 50km after the fuel light has come on and did not run out of fuel.
  13. I have for sale a Nissan Consult Cable. The cable is in perfect condition and was only used a few times. This is a very useful item because when it is used with Nissan Data Scan it checks all of your engine sensors for faults. eg loose afm plug / faulty detonation sensor. Also can give you a heap of engine data in real time. eg rpm, speed, injector duty cycles, timing, water temp, 02 sensor. It also the capability of giving you a 0 - 100 time. When you activate this control, as soon as your can begins to move the timer will automatically start and when you reach 100km/hr the timer will stop. Heaps of fun!!!! $100 ono Brisbane (Free postage Aus wide) Contact: Dean 0410844253
  14. You actually dont need to buy the bolts because the bolts that hold the cam cover on are the correct size. I did this in mine a few months ago however was a rb20 but i would assume the rb25 would be the same. And I paid $70 for my water pump from repco.
  15. Could be many things. First thing to check would be AFM. Mine had the did the exact same thing when the plug on my AFM was faulty.
  16. Why did you use heavy duty hose clamps on intake pipe and then standard ones everywhere else that actually hold pressure?
  17. Find a round metal pole that will just fit over the handle of the ratchet you are using. The longer the metal pole the easier it will be to turn. (make sure the car is in gear with handbreak on) You shouldnt have needed to remove the alternator to remove the water pump. You will also need a pully puller to remove the harmonic balancer.
  18. Make sure the plug to the electric motor has not come off. Mine popped off on my 32 once.
  19. lol yeh james is my middle name, and the civic is my second car lol
  20. Hey Zennon, Give 'ABS Brake and Clutch' at springwood a call. They replaced mine last year, very helpfull, also give discounts for SAU members as well. They arent very close to you but they may be able to help. I could have given you my old one but I just been looking for it and i must have thown it out. Dean
  21. I am in the same boat at you... My car got defected yesterday for the exact same reason. Was told to get an engineers certificate for it to pass. So this morning I called a mechanic that does engineer cert's and was told by him that I did not need one. As long as the hole is not in the chassis rail then it is fine and is not a defect. I also got defected for not having a break light in my rear window. I have an 1993 R32 and my car did not come with one. It was complied without one so i thought i didnt need one. Does anyone know anything about this? Also my car is sold and the new owner is ment to be coming to pick it up this afternoon, can i sell it to him with a defect? Sorry to hijack...
  22. Got a wave from 60NER white R33 on the M1 this morning.
  23. Yeh I saw you as well.
