  1. Thanks for starting this thread. My car is doing the same thing. I am running 9 - 10 psi and between 2500-3500rpm i am getting a stutter. I few weeks back i replaced the fuel filter and the problem went away. However a few days after replacing it the problem has started again. ATM i have been living with it but it could have a dirty fuel tank? Anyone else fixed this problem before?
  2. pic of the condition of afm please
  3. I think there must be something wrong with the alarm because this is similar to how i installed it. (i understand that if a theif saw this under the dash he could just connect them back together. I have connected each side at two totally different areas in the car). Ive used the multimeter to see if there is a circuit by arming and disarming the alarm while the multimeter is connected to each side of the imobiliser but it doesnt seem to be picking up a circuit when disarmed. I dont think telling me the colours is going to help me as it is all black wiring!
  4. bosch every day of the week except wednesdays.
  5. Does anyone know a place in Brisbane that will stretch 235x40 18's onto a 10inch wide rim?
  6. i have 235x40 18's on my 32gtst
  7. Does anyone know a place in Brisbane that will stretch a 235 tyre onto a 10inch rim?
  8. sorry to steal the tread but at the moment i have 235s on a 10inch rim and they have very little tread. I have been to a few tyre place and they have told me they will not strech a tyre onto the rim. The problem is that i need to have them streched because anything bigger will not fit under the guards. Does anyone know a place that will do it?
  9. I removed mine a couple of weeks ago because i made a custom heat shield/box for my pod and the canister was in the way (didnt even have any lines goin to it when i bought it). Both purge and vac lines blocked off about 50mm from the plenum and the fuel line is venting to atmo.
  10. Many fuses can be pulled out to disable car. Fuel pump, starter, ign etc. The one i used before i had an alarm installed was the ignition fuse from the fuse box in the engine bay. A good idea when you decide which fuse to pull would be to replace the fuse you pull with a blown fuse. That way it is not obvious to the theif which fuse to replace.
  11. thanks for the replies. I have checked the bov and all vac lines. It still flutters around 3000-4000rpm in every gear. Before 3000rpm it holds boost fine and after 4000rpm it holds boost fine. I think the car might need a tune, who on the southside of brisbane know their rb20's.
  12. As the title says, when i am accelerating between 3000 and 4000rpm the car makes a flutter noise and my boost gauge bounces back and forward. Its giving me the shits because on the highway the car sits around 3000rpm in 5th gear when going 100km/h. It only does it when i either reach factory boost setting 7psi or hold boost steady at any psi between 0 and 7 while rpm are 3000 to 4000. My question is why does it only do it between 3000 - 4000rpm?
  13. ok it only does the flutter when i am on boost between 3000rpm and 4000rpm. when it happens it doesnt feel like the car is miss firing. Does anyone else have this problem?
  14. hey are these the same as the ones on ebay for $89 +$9 postage? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-R32-Skyline-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  15. thanks for the replies, ive checked the coils and plugs and they are fine, would i need a fuel pressure gauge to check if fuel was the problem? plus what is compressor surge? It does it almost all the time when i hit 7psi in 5th gear on the highway and it doesnt matter if im doing 2500rpm or 3500rpm, its always when it hits 7psi. Could it be wastegate flutter? I have a custom dump pipe.
  16. Im having trouble installing the 2 point imobilizer into my r32. The imobilizer is built into the Black Widow alarm system (model BW10000). The instuctions say that there are 4 wires which are used for the imobilizer (2 for each point of imobilization). My understanding is that, i cut the wire in the car which i want to imobilize (eg ignition) and attach a imobilizer wire to each side of the wire (eg ignition) i just cut. After i had done this i tested it, however the ignition did not have power. i just wanted to know if what im doin is correct? help will be appreciated. thanks dean
  17. Just lately my r32 has been fluttering while i have my foot is on the accelerator. It does it when i go up hills and on the highway when i give it a bit. When it does it my boost gauge bounces between about 3 and 7 psi. Sometimes it does it when i hit 7 psi and sometimes it does it at about 2 psi. Does anyone know what the problem is?
  18. Im issured with justcar. Im 18 with a r32 gtst and a agreed value of $17500. Premium was $2200 and excess is $1600. I recon this is a pretty good price considering the car has a fair few mods and ive only had my licence for a bit over a year.
