  1. Hey fellas, Just tapping into your brains again for some intercooler advice. I've noticed most of the hybrid and copy kits have the pipe on the right hand side that goes half way over the engine and into the inlet manifold. I was just wondering if an intercooler with inlet and outlet on the same side would be better on a GTS-T, as it would involve a lot less piping. Would theoretically have two benefits - less pipe (less lag), and no piping going over the engine (as opposed to traditional intercoolers with inlet and outlet on opposing sides). Obviously on GT-Rs, you're better off with the traditional style cooler, but I figured with a GTS-T it would be a different story. There's one on eBay that caught my attention: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 I'm thinking that's the way to go, but want your opinions. Thanks again, J.R.
  2. Now tell all the nice people how much a setup like this costs, and about the R34 GT-R you could have had for the same money if not cheaper. Sorry buddy, but I've crunched the numbers, and nice as it is, unless you're selling drugs, it ain't worth it.
  3. Come on buddy. $160 including delivery for the Blitz ECU. Postage should only be around $10, so essentially is $150 for the ECU, and it's mine. Like I've said via e-mail, if I could offer you more, I would. ...you know you want to Adrian.
  4. Just had another thought after reading people's for sale topics. A lot more time gets wasted asking people where they're located. Now, pictures and internet space aside, it doesn't cost much to type "Location: VIC" or wherever, and it stops a lot more unneccessary replies. Maybe seller's don't say where they are or post pics so that they get free bumps? Sounds about right.
  5. What would you think if EVERY modified car owner, be it rotary, turbo, V8, whatever, all across Australia, united and marched in on Parliament in Canberra. We all demand a realistic approach to modifying cars, a change in the attitude of government and police to modified car owners. And if something doesn't happen and doesn't happen soon, we riot - old school style! It works overseas...
  6. In that case, where pictures are not provided, at least a link should be provided to an example of the item, perhaps that the seller found via a google search. It's just that I've noticed on most every 'for sale' topic where pics have not been posted, you find a dozen or so people all asking for the pics. It seems to take up a lot of unnecessary forum space is all. Then again, perhaps providing pics for every item sold may take up more room. Maybe you could provide some sort of indicator as to when the item is sold, then remove the attachments from the topic. I dunno, just brain-storming. Adrian.
  7. Yep, I believe I've made reparations above for previous suggestions. That said, it wouldn't be impossible for someone to create a rogue e-mail account and use it to get in touch with people for the purposes of ripping them off for parts money. Which is another reason why I'm peddling the picture inclusion idea in the 'for sale' section. Thanks anyway for the criticism.
  8. No fair, that's teasing! Well, my offer still stands, I guess. Thanks, Adrian.
  9. Yeah, I know what you're saying about stock items really not needing photos, but even then, you want to see what condition the items are in, or just see it for curiosity's sake. That way, if it turns up in any condition other than what you expected, you've got at least SOME right to argue. Whereas if you never saw it, how did you know what condition it was in to begin with? Anyway, I still think it's a good idea.
  10. Funny you ask, I just heard back from him now! Sounds legit, and I apologize for suggesting otherwise. In my defence, though, there ARE a lot of dodgy people flying around on the 'net. Sorry Mark, we'll work it all out.
  11. Heya all, I've browsed the 'for sale' section of this site for ages now, and notice that a LOT of replies are nothing other than ones asking for pics of items listed for sale. So what I propose, to save a LOT of time and space, is that people cannot post an item for sale unless at least 1 pic of that item is attached to the topic. Where multiple items are for sale, a separate photo has to be provided for each item. It might take a lot longer for people to arrange, but in any event, they normally say that people who want pics should PM the seller, so they obviously have pics ready to go anyway. I think this would stop dodgy sellers, reduce unnecessary replies, and speed things up generally. So get behind me on this, and let's make skylinesaustralia.com an even better place to be. Thanks, Adrian.
  12. Maybe someone's jumped onto this idea and is acting as a seller of the boost controller to get people to pay him $35 each. Might not sound like much, but if 100 turbo boys pay him 35 bucks, that's $3500! I'll give it another week before getting serious about it, but it's already been much longer than required to receive the payment and have sent the item. Either this guys really busy, really slack or really dodgy.
  13. So have you sold the ECU or not?
  14. Interested in blitz ecu and hks intake Please send pics to [email protected] will work out prices later Also, whereabouts are you? Just thinking of postage costs is all. Thanks, Adrian.
  15. $50 on the grill and I'll arrange for a courier to pick it up. Also if you can send pics of all parts, especially the grill where the clips are broken. Please PM. Thanks buddy. Thought it was too good to last. (Offer is ended)
  16. I still haven't got mine yet either...
  17. Shit, that's pretty high for a 32 with only catback exhaust and filter insert, isn't it? Maybe I should get a boost controller and wind it back a bit?
  18. Heya all, I just fitted a boost gauge and it's hitting around 0.7 bar boost on full throttle. If a bar is 14psi as I'm led to believe, it means I'm running around 10psi with just a 3" catback and sports panel filter insert. Does that sound right for an R32 GTS-T? Sounds a bit high to me, but maybe that's the norm. Let me know!
  19. That's nothing. I'm running 225s on the back of stock 32 wheels!
  20. I swung by the front of the shop today after work. Looks pretty full-on. Hopefully get a chance to have a look inside soon, as I'm at work all day. Also noticed a place on Seventh Street that does exhaust systems and dyno tunes - sounds promising. Might get them to do the front pipe and intercooler install. See how I go. Thanks again for your help. Adrian.
