Various Car Parts

It's ok, you can sell it to someone else! Thanks for holding it tho, but it's cool. I wanna get one that is specifically for R32. -

Interested in the intercooler, $400 with delivery to Adelaide, S.A. ? Pics would be nice too. Can e-mail me on [email protected] Thanks. -
Without giving legal advice, your best bet is to wait out until you hear anything, if at all. No use worrying about it in the meantime. That said, if you do get a notice, it might be worthwhile to explain to the police the reason why you were speeding - but no promises there. The only other thing is (and I'm not recommending you do this, but...) if you declare that someone else was driving, but generously pay the amount owing on the fine on their behalf, then they will only incur the demerit point loss. And if, say, it was your aunty or mum who was driving at the time (and never normally exceeds the limit), then odds on they won't get booked again and the demerit points will reset and you'll be fine. That said, I ONLY recommend doing that if someone else WAS driving, cos otherwise, it could be seen as evading the law... Like I said, I'm not giving legal advice here, just playing with some ideas! Hope it Helps.

Yep! -
When I get my 32 GTS-T (which should be in a couple weeks), I'll get the camera out and make a few vids, no worries. Just have to make sure I cover the plates, wouldn't want to get in trouble...
-
I've seen some GTS-T bonnets cut to accommodate a GTR grill, and they've all looked pretty dodgy. If you're keen on the idea, cut the whole inner section out, and weld in a new plate, so it all looks neat. Adrian.

D'oh! Didn't know only 4 doors are sedans! Thought you can have a 2-door sedan, but I guess we'd call them 'coupes' now, thanks to the yanks! Oh, say, can you see... -
As a matter of reference, fully built Honda motors (which are known for their high rev-ability), rev out to around 11,000 RPM, and at those revs, you can actually hear God talking to you! With the RB20, being a 6-cylinder 2.0 litre motor, it is imaginable that, running naturally aspirated, you would be able to get around 8 - 9000 RPM with decent internals and tuning, but don't expect anything around 15,000 RPM! Don't bother with the idea of a motorbike engine either, they rev high and put out good power, but have no torque. Which is okay if your car weighs 100kg! You might be better of buying an already high-revving engine, and tuning that up. But not many car manufacturers outside of Europe bother with these sort of motors. They either force air in, or built a big motor. Rev's are out, unless you're Ferrari, or to a Japanese extent, Honda. That said, you're more than welcome to try. Just watch the wallet!

Is this topic about tits or tyres? Cos either way, you're gonna have trouble with it!

How do you guys afford such nice cars?!

Not bad, nice set of mods to start off with.

That car at 15?!? I had a Toyota Tercel! ...my kids are gonna have Ferrari's when they turn 15 (I'm gonna live through them!!!) Nice car buddy. Ceffy's aren't my sort of thing, but if you love it, I love you for it. We can't all like the same car, and if we did, the road would be boring! Adrian.

No way! I don't know what it is with people buying 4 door skylines, its a sports car for crying out loud!!! I see more and more 4 door 32s going around lately, and have absolutely NO idea why? If I wanted a 4 door, I would have kept the Mazda... Anyway, thanks for letting me vent that out! B) Adrian. -
Bugger that! If I were you, I would sell the parts on their own, here or on eBay, then just sell the car for what it is. You don't really get the money for the parts if you sell them with the car, but on their own you should do really well. That's my bit, anyway... Good luck with the sale either way. Adrian.

Well, I know of a few, but they're all in Adelaide. If you're that keen on having an RB20, then do it. No use saving a few bucks if you're not happy with the result. If you're willing to get one from Adelaide, try the following places: Z Imports Jap Parts Adelaide Jap D1 Garage Autotech Imports Good Luck!

Should be a picture attached of my car hiding in the container, pretty scary! Will keep you all posted, but it's hard keeping up with all these threads! Adrian. -
Watch out about this, don't be tempted by the lower price of RB20 over SR20. That might sound good on it's own, but the cost is considerably higher to put the RB20 into the engine bay of a CA18/SR20, I don't think anyone's mentioned this point yet... What you save in engines you might lose in installation. A bit of custom work is involved in doing an RB -> SR/CA conversion, whereas an SR20 swap over a CA18 is relatively much easier and cheaper to do. So, bear that in mind, but if you're still keen, I love your enthusiasm! B) Adrian.

Hiya, I'm in Adelaide, and know of some import places that have 'em, but they're asking the Earth for 'em (hence, they're still sitting there!) One's at Adelaide Fours and Rotaries, they're looking for around 500 for it... With the amount these people are after for used 15 year old bumpers, why wouldnt we go straight for FRP or A/M bars? I know 'Viva Garage' (in Adelaide) do a really nice front bar for $350, not that Vertex / BN style like EVERYONE has, but something different. I think www.carmate.com sell a GTR 32 Style front bar, but again, they want around the 500 mark from memory. But I guess thats slightly better cos it's new, but slightly worse cos it won't be as easy to fit as a used one... Damned if you do, damned if you don't! Anyway, hope it helps. Adrian.

Heya boys and gals, I helped unload my skyline from the container, man, that's an experience! Should be complied and ready to rock in a week or two, then I gotta wait for the regency booking. Couldn't get in til the 4th of January, dammit! Too many people in clearing defects, I guess... Man, I've got the skyline bug something chronic, only problem is, once I get it, I'm moving interstate, so I won't be able to take it thru the Adelaide hills I'll keep ya'll posted... Adrian.
