  1. Yeah, the Blitz ECU's have the chip in a 'bay' with a hinge, so it can be easily removed and reconnected. This allows you to cycle through different spec chips, or reprogram the chip and reinsert. I would say that ECU is stock, and I'm not sure about the possibility of modifying an ECU without changing chips.
  2. I agree with Beer Baron, I don't like Alonso either. Maybe for the same reason too (tall poppy syndrome), or that it's because he keeps on winning and makes it look easy. Maybe if the winner of each race varied somewhat, it would allow us to pick a favorite and go with him. I'm a Kimi man myself...
  3. I agree with funkymoney, go the FTO. All these people that are recommending the Supra would be subconsciously thinking of the RZ model. What would be good is if someone posted all the specs for both cars. As I recall, the MIVEC motor in the FTO puts out around 200hp at the motor, and I'm not sure how much more the SZ Supra puts out (if any). Would certainly help clear up this mess. That said, I've always been a fan of the FTO, so I'm biased...
  4. I drift my life a quarter-turn at a time...
  5. Dammit, I can't find my DVD with this video on it. Let me look around for it a while, and if I can't find it, I'll try to find the link where I got it.
  6. I think mention also needs to be made of 0-100 and 400m times for 4WD cars (e.g. GT-R's and WRX's). These rely on redline launches that not only cause serious damage to the gearbox, but are unlikely to occur in everyday drag racing. I think a more appropriate 0-100 or 400m time would have to include a normal RPM point at which the clutch is released. This would go some length to explaining why an RZ Supra is so much quicker than a GT-R, although they both manage 13 second quarters. And while we're on the topic of performance figures, I hate hp and kw readouts more than anything else - worse yet because people put so much stock into them. But that's a topic for another post.
  7. "Leave na tuning to hondas..." Couldn't have said it better myself!
  8. Do you really want to issue legal proceedings to recover $220 ? Do you know how much lawyers charge? I do
  9. Yeah, nothing is worse than a problem that comes and goes...
  10. Yeah, I left my lights on once in my 32. Didn't realize it because the timer was running so it didnt beep to let me know I'd left the lights on. When I got back to the car and hit the alarm button, it triggered the alarm (thought the battery had been disconnected and went to backup battery). Of course, there was not enough power in it for the override switch to work, and it wailed until I got a jump-start. You wanna see the mother battery I put in there now
  11. Yeah, I would take an RZ over a 34 GTT any day. Although the 34 is newer, it reminds me too much of a 33 (very upright driving position), whereas the Supra 'feels' like a sports car, while at the same time, being a road rocket. Good choice.
  12. I got the bomb for you here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=110694 Already has a cheetah alarm which cost around $700 fitted (still have recipts), so you dont have to worry about that. The alarm meets and exceeds insurance requirements. Please PM if interested.
  13. If we were talking RZ Supra or FTO, there would be no argument. But if you get the SZ, you're always secretly going to be wishing it was an RZ. Just like people that get GTS-T's, spend all kinds of money doing em up, then still want a GT-R, though they've spent more than enough in mods to have already bought one. GO THE FTO
  14. Ahh, the world of N/A tuning. I was into Honda's for ages, and read so much of this stuff I got sick of it... If you're after N/A tuning, this is a very basic run-down: 1) Intake and Exhaust (inc. Extractors and High Flow Cat) 2) Plugs, Computer and dyno tuning (to maximise flowing int & exh) 3) Lightweight Flywheel and Heavy Duty Clutch 4) Time to open up the motor!
  15. OK chaps, I take a bit of reminding, I normally have a million things underway at once, but I'll try to remember. If you don't hear from me for a while, PM me and tell me to haul ass!
  16. Get the FTO. If you're going a Supra, you get the RZ, not the SZ. So if you're not interested in that model, avoid Supra's altogether. You're much better off with the top-model FTO than the bottom-model Supra. Not to mention that MIVEC roar...
  17. There's a video with a bunch of group a 32's going around, I think I have a copy on my computer still. It's about 80mb, but if you're keen on it, could probably arrange an upload.
  18. How boring was the Silverstone race? And it was all pumped-up to be a nice three-way battle between Kimi, Michael and Alonso. Renault are simply unbeatable at the moment. You know Alonso isn't hitting full pace when he's got a 10-12 second lead. He just maintains it. So if Mike or Kimi manage to keep up with him, it won't be for long. Not that I swing towards any one team - I've been watching F1 for too long to have favorites. But I can tell when one team has it hands down, and that's the case for the moment. One interesting point however is to think about where Renault was 2-3 years ago (e.g. nowhere). Now look at them- they're unstoppable. Makes you wonder which team will be next to follow suit? You might laugh at some of the backmarker teams now, but you would have been chuckling at Renault some time ago as well. Interesting to bear in mind...
  19. BUMPITY BUMP BUMP! There's a buyer lurking around for this thing for sure...
  20. Bugger it, buy my 32
