    Hey All

Ummm.... not to say that i enjoyed the movie or anything, but he did drive in particular parts of the movie (like the slide sideways at the beginning...i think that is about it lol). Its in the making of the movie Hope To catchya soon and enjoy chatting to the fella's
  2. Same here, spoke to him quickly. Also seen him down i think it was Glenelg way, but not Jetty road.
  3. Second that. Never know what little kid would enthusiastically open the car door next to yours...and i certaintly dont park next to commodores (oldish ones) nor trucks with trays of any sought. Spewing
  4. 427 s/c AC Cobra Ford GT40 (old one -> gotta love the sound) R32 GTR (Bathurst version) Bugatti Veyron F40
  5. So where is this place located???
  6. What he said
  7. The incident at Lonsdale not completely sure, just know that they showed a white 33 in someones yard which by the looks of it just managed to hit the house. There was a commodore involved but i think from what someone else said on here that the 33 may have been trying to do something.... not sure what though. Didnt know anything about the Hindley Incident. Spewing Vange, not a nice image. Hope the other persons insurance is covering
  8. Like the car by the way Welcome
  9. Funny you wrote this, seeming that i found out from an insurance company that my rear rotors were lancer ones 'apparently' rather than the actual 32 gts-t ones! So i would definetely get that checked. My dad test drove the car and realised the heavy duty clutch was gone, so that got done. Get it done quick if the car is under warranty. But the rear rotors i would question, as mine from the same place were way too small. Warranty is a great thing
  10. Ok. Was going to say from the news pics was wondering how that car managed to get down there and not have much damage. Wasn't anyone from here was it? Well i guess can't say it was the commodores fault at all then. Cheers fella's.
  11. Got my 32 from there Did they still have the Dark Green or Dark Blue R33 there?
  12. Hey there Fella's, Just wondering if anyone knows about the white R33 incident that was on the news down lonsdale way?

    Hey All

Good start Welcome and hope that you meet some great people on here
  15. Almost forgot -> graduate from a uni can get a full house loan without the bank looking twice ... that could be the reason i went to uni (hind sight is great)
  16. Be good at what you do and do something you enjoy and you'll do fine (that doesnt mean doll bludging or being lazy ). I wll disagree about uni being a waste of time on the basis of doctors, dentists, chemists etc etc. I also reckon being at uni definetely helped in communication skills and interacting with others in groups and teams. Uni also offers subjects not directly related which broadens your knowledge. At the same time it also definetely helps in getting a job, various small courses (one day or less) to improve self confidence, job interviews, interaction etc etc. In short, in some areas uni is great... even helps for gym work lol, and some of the girls you meet are great So i wouldnt say uni is a waste unless you go there just for the sake of it not looking for anything at the end of it - i.e. the bunch of people sitting in the group smoking (nothing against smokers) that do nothing, are there for double the length of their degree and dont do anything..but waste time...then that is a waste. On the other hand people who are ambitious and good at what they do are also very happy, working as a tradesman with me dad on the holidays i notice this as i talk alot with others in various trades (done this for close to 9 years, and when younger worked in a bakery), and these people are doing well for themselves. However when it comes to their taxes, reports, drawings they follow or principles all come from people with knowledge, as a weak foundation of knowledge will mean that most likely the project will fail -> i.e. Working in steel reinforcement, if we didnt do it to the engineers specs, nor asked them and something happens...good bye to all that saved money!! and the business name. But entreuprenors are ambitious people and they to are also great at what they do, sell themselves..and look at them now (i.e. Richard Bransen -> Virgin airlines etc etc) So in short (guess most of you guys would be rolling your eyes now) there are pro's and cons with all ways, some people have skills and likes in various areas...let them take that path. Do what ya like and enjoy!! and get paid for it . This isnt a thread on being rich, but on having a job you either like or hate lol. I enjoy labor work as it relaxes me from uni, but i like uni _> as i know i have the skills in that area of profession while having a network of resources to help in getting me a job i like and being in various organisations that further extend it. DO what you ENJOY!
  17. Another basic option is to hook one of the fans to a switch and just turn it on when the car is in traffic, i have it for hot nights and particularly warm days, if its gets any hotter than 1/2 then the other one kicks in due to the thermostat. But of late i did have a few issues with the radiator
  18. So true on that aspect! Specifically if they are good at that particular things but lack the communication skills. You'll figure it out soon, but both chooses there sound great!!
  19. Almost forgot, i worked with computers and built them in year 10 and 11, it is a good industry to get into and can also lead into IT area. But just make sure that ya know quite abit, as sometimes the money from it isnt the best unless you have a broad knowledge. Owning ya own business or starting one is a great idea
  20. Well well...interesting thread and one i enjoyed reading. I've done the uni course and am graduating once they decide the day and month this year, and like some have said, alot of people go into the degree but have no interest when they find out what it is. Furthermore alot of people have completed it and wondered why they did it, the drop out rate i think was like 75% or something close to that in the first 2 years. I will agree degrees are good, but make sure it is something you're interested in and read up on it. In terms of the maths issues with tafe and uni, there are many little courses or help centres at each that you can use or go to, and they are excellent. I tutored maths from years 10-12 while i was at uni for some extra cash, and i still had trouble at uni, but the main thing is if ya have trouble just ask, cause the explaination is soo much easier, and the help centres made it easy (er). My dad went back to do year 12 at Hamilton high and that helped him alot as he could basically go choose a uni or tafe course, he chose tafe and did a geophysics course and didnt find it hard...he is 40 (im 22). Tafe is also good cause if ya use the resources correctly you can get work placement for work experience and continue with that -> my mate also did electronics engineering in tafe and use the tafe resource or career centre to get a job. So don't be fooled into thinking that uni is the only way at all. Furthermore (sorry for the essay fella's), the amount of tradeswork out now is hitting the roof, people in all industries need em, and the mines are also awesome. My uncle is earning $2700 a week for laying cables out at a mine, with three weeks on, and food and accomadation paid for.. and he is 33. At the same time my dad has his own trade business, and as long as you stick with it you'll start bringing in the $$$, but you have to stick with it for a couple of years and you'll be happy ya did! I currently work with him until February when i start work (engineering) in steel reinforcement and i get decent pay. So in short, what ever path you take make sure you know what it surrounds and that you like that area, even mechanics are getting sparse these days.... so if people like playing with cars and the likes.... Furthermore, study is hard at first, but its definetely not impossible. My Family ranges all over the place in terms of tradesman, diploma's, graduates etc etc... so fella's... do ya best in what ya do, get noticed and you'll be off. And very sorry for the essay. And for the person that mentioned about the whole study and not working, you can do part-time if need be which will take that little bit longer, but at least you have the flexability to some extent. Sorry again for the lecture Dan
  21. Everyone able to go one the cruise? and i assume they don't like people being stupid on these cruises -> always read the section in the trading post for the cruise
  22. Well you're not the only one who had to suffer that same fate lol. Until last year we had basically no chicks at the uni period (mawson lakes). However once Underdale closed last year was the best ever. In terms of the course i think i know two female engineers period, may have been a few more in civil engineering but not sure. But yeh, in the last year (2005) it sucked having to work hard to finish with honors and try to find a reason to go down the other end of the campus to even see a chick lol. I also agree with having decent people, at least me mates talked about cars and going out rather than the latest modification to their computer and what it does to every single thing they play Spotted a maroon (or is that marone?) 33 turning from Marion road right onto sturt, think it was a chick, with a smile on their faces as i was leaving the lights down marion road with two police motorcycles on my left...i think they were laughing at the expression of my face leaving the lights without trying to make the car rev to loud or hear the turbo spoiling through the pod...lol...think it had some decals on the back right...or stickers at least of some sort... Also spotted a black 32 on blacks road
  23. Just a quick question, isn't there one with 6 letters (or numbers) that you can get that is an only once off payment? two of my both have personalised number plates (not over six letters) and they only had to make a once time payment, both having them having em for about 3-4 years now. Or is it having more than one number on the plate result of it?
