unfortunately i live like 5-10 minutes away from Flinders uni, but went to UniSA at MAWSON LAKES!!! ..lol...'whingineering'...does seem like that ay  My brother went to horseshoe bay the other day as we (I work as tradesman for father while on holidays -> now waiting for graduation) were working there...brother has a black 32. By any chance, and no laughing please, did a lady/women ask you about ya car a while back at Flinders....the reason i said that is me mum told me she spoke to someone who owns a R33 (she knows her cars) and about its history.... so was just wondering. I do end up at Flinders now and then however to help my mum with her sociology courses Today saw about 3 white R33's.... can't tell whose who

Darn....this is the meet and cruise my brother rang me about jumping up and down screaming lol ... nice long cruise or just a short one?

I shall be in as long as i know the time and place Hopefully get bro to come aswell in his 32

Unfortunately this was a uni course over 4 years, however there are some related engineering courses in Tafe. When i was younger i had the same ambition to be a mechanic, loved the ideas of playing with cars as i was brought up around cars.... IN terms of the whole mechanic and their cars...i agree..know a few and they have interesting cars to say the least, but in some cases one or two own some nice cars, usually V8's or porsches. But as long as you do what you love you can't really go wrong Spotted one silver looking R33 GTR (or the kit was GTR = no badge ), a while R33 heading to the bay at about 7pm, and two black R33's on West Terrace last night putside the pizza house. one with some nice gold rims

Cheers ...(for the congrats) ..will be good when ya done, alot lighter on the shoulders i will say Yeh, i was the same, wanted to be a mechanic or should have done mechanical engineering. Well...i can't guarantee an apprenticeship...but wat do you want to do for the apprenticeship? (mechanic?)... THanks again. And fellas, take it easy, everyone has their own opinion

Interesting. Wish this was on the drag strip soo all could watch, and no complaints on the result with many witnesses. You could always take my dad's 502 big block AC Cobra on.....but even i agree when im beat. I reckon you have a good chance, just dont be to nervous and relax
-
Noticed that you weren't there, even though i've never met you before There was a very nice R33 with gold rims that came, was nice.....that is besides the candy apple red 4 door 33

My thoughts EXACTLY!! Honestly, they have been picking on him since he put a harassment charge on one of the bike coppers a while back. He's been pulled over almost consistantly each time a cop reads his number plate - the good thing is that the cop that initially started all of it got scorned by the sargeant (i cant spell sorry) for putting a defect notice which never occured when he went through regency .

The radiator itself (aluminium) cost $445.75. THe added costs were mainly (besides labor) were thermo clamps to hold the thermo off the new radiator..where as the previous one i had was held on by cable ties from whoever installed it in the first place <_< So far have not had the temp go over half since the install. Where the previous one sat on half majority of the time. BTW..it barely reached half temp with the current radiator with some hard driving...and having the 3 year warranty aswell pretty happy with the overall package The checks included all the hoses, flushing the system, making sure the thermostat works along with the relay. Not completely sure what the term bleeding for air means

Far out..that is freaky..same thing happend to me last night. Was driving home and slowed down to the lights, then speedo went straight to zero. Hicas light came straight up after that. Checked the connection at rear of gearbox and that was fine, guessing it is the connection between the speedo itself and the cable...will find out. Checked fluids and fuses..however i tend to lose power steering after 10 minutes of driving since this happened..even though the power steering fluid is full with no leaks...any ideas to what it may be? Anyways...good to see that i wasn't going delirious... cheers again Dan

Is the position of the HICAS and power steering reservoir also located underneath the bonnet for 32 gts-t's? just got back from going through the hills and both the power steering went off for a tick and the hicas light came up....

I wasn't there at the end. Some cop pulled over my brother for the sake of it. And when he didnt defect him cause he couldn't, he told my bro that some car with the same description (black 32 with white front BN bumper on - how many people have single part of body kit driving around with exact same color) was stolen and used for ram raids. Either way, for the sake of it i pulled behind the un-marked car and was witness and listened on the discussion ..so i wasn't with the group at the last stop. So it would be prize pool between 9

Yep yep..the candy red 33 was definetely on the cruise. Initially there were about 8 skylines, and 3 DR31's....but they stayed at the car park. It was alright...and managed to stay together suprisingly. There were a few cops down the bay, but i was on the opposite side of the road so was able to smile at them Once arrived at the city was a little harder to keep together.

I went with a new aluminium one from Natrad in the city. Cost about $500 om total including flush, checks, and the radiator itself...oh..and installed . They did initially ring me and say it was going to cost alot more, but i told them not to touch the thermo like they wanted to - i.e. re-arrange it all.

How do you guys afford such nice cars?!
DC_GTST replied to Jaxe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hard work, analysing what i do and don't need, and the like few have pointed out budget. I did however get the remaining money i didnt have ($5000) from parents and am paying them off each week. -
My brother had the identical situation..just installed the turbosmart Veeport onto his 32 with the correct plates and all, and the following day when he was driving he heard a huge 'bang' under the hood along with black smoke etc etc. He thought it was blown turbo, but obviously the a/f went nuts with no BOV. But that explains alot, cheers. Dan

That car in Top Gear is nothing less than jaw dropping. 0-100km/h in 2.7 second...or was it 2.07 seconds? either way...its quick. Furthermore the section of the article stating the following shows a little. 'You might point out at this juncture that the McLaren F1 could top 240mph, but at that speed it was pretty much out of control. And anyway it really isn’t in the same league as the Bugatti. In a drag race you could let the McLaren get to 120mph before setting off in the Veyron. And you’d still get to 200mph first. The Bugatti is way, way faster than anything else the roads have seen'. And for some serious but light hearted note: ' Jeremy Clarkson Times Online November 27, 2005 Bugatti Veyron By Jeremy Clarkson of The Sunday Times Utterly, stunningly, jaw droppingly brilliant When you push a car past 180mph, the world starts to get awfully fizzy and a little bit frightening. When you go past 200mph it actually becomes blurred. Almost like you’re trapped in an early Queen pop video. At this sort of speed the tyres and the suspension are reacting to events that happened some time ago, and they have not finished reacting before they’re being asked to do something else. The result is a terrifying vibration that rattles your optical nerves, causing double vision. This is not good when you’re covering 300ft a second. Happily, stopping distances become irrelevant because you won’t see the obstacle in the first place. By the time you know it was there, you’ll have gone through the windscreen, through the Pearly Gates and be half way across God’s breakfast table'. Anyways..from what ive seen and read, the car has some power........

Cheers fella's for all this. As previously posted there was a fair difference in what they wanted for both new radiator and install (with radiator coolent, flushing etc etc) between my mum ringing and myself was quite different. Then again i went straight into the detail and knowing what was wrong basically defining what was required. I did also contact via email some custom place on their prices for an aluminium tank but no reply <_< . Thanks again Dan
