  4. i doubt aps can do it in frankston. especially on a r32 as they are analogue not digital. the only way to fix it on a 32 is by changing the cogs... mine is out because of the r33 box conversion.. i need a 21tooth cog in my gear box for it to be right. i have tried so many places but they all have no idea.. i will try that place in mulgrave...
  5. did you mean raise the compression roy? in doing this would u expect boost to come on a little earlier?? or is this only changed buy the size of the engine?? raising the compression on a rb20 would be good because u woulnt have to run as higher boost to make the power u want.. leigh
  6. dont bother doing the dump pipe and that on your stock turbo if you are going to upgrade turbos, because u will have to change it all again anyway. depending on what you get..

  11. u just have a leak, either the exhaust manifold gasket or the gasket on the turbo to the manifold... easy fix.

  13. hey all i have recently done a r33 box conversion on my r32, i need the 20 tooth red cog off the end of the speedo assembly that goes into the gear box, some1 must have one lying around...

  16. are they low or high independence injectors? would they bold straight into a r32?
  17. you are better off to wait till you have the new turbo on if you get a turbo that wont be in the original position, because u will have to change the dump pipe and maybe even the front pipe to get it to line up with the new turbo.. if you have an external wastegate you will need to moddify your dunp/front pipe as well to run the pipe off the wastegate back into the exhaust system, unless u have a screamer pipe...

  19. the reason my cog cracked is because the hole i made was too tight, and split the cog when pressing it on.... wow this is very interesting... i will source a new cog and do what you have just done with picks... then write up a DIY. does any1 know where to get the 21 tooth cog from??
  20. the main things that need to be done is, shorteneing the tailshaft and putting a r33 yoke on the tailshaft so it fits in the box, you need r33 slave cylinder and a custom cross member... very simple to get working.. use same clutch fly etc... the only crap part is the speedo... oh you can tell the difference in the boxes as the r33 box looks like a r32 box that has been blown up like a ballon.. big size difference...

  22. hey yeah i have just had a simmilar thing happen to my car... although mine is a gtst... when i start the car the steering is fine, then after like 5mins of driving it gets really stiff?.. then i turn it off then back on it is fine... mine has just happened all of a sudden.. and havnt done any changes to my car reciently apart from a 33 box conversion but i doubt that has anything to do with it...
  23. the speedo was accurate when i finished and put it back in and everything.. but just then the speedo stopped working so i think the cog has fallen off in the gearbox... and i dont think i will be able to get it out without pulling it apart... so i was wondering if you guys would know if it is dangerous leaving it in there? will i do damage to the box? it is only plastic so would it just grind up? then i will change the oil in a month or so and it will come out when its a bit smaller?? lol wishful thinking...

  25. ok i will give that a go with the reverse light.... now i have just been spending the last couple of hours changing the cogs on the speedo drive.. and here is what i am up to... this pick shows the two speedo drives together... the r33 and the nissan navara one.. as you can see the r33 cog is considerably larger than the one on the navara... in this pick i have got both the cogs off, the r33 one comes off easilly as it is held on by a c clip, the navara one is very difficult, as you can tell and i just hacked the stupid thing off!! but as you can see it is pressed/moulded on, so u have to cut it off... here you can see the two shafts together so u can see the difference.. you have to drill out the r33 cog a bit to get it to fit on.. i used a 9.5mm drill bit and it was a bit too small, and i cracked the cog!!!!, so i am now waiting for the superclue to dry and i will drill it out with a 10mm bit. hopefully it wont b too loose. but i will glue it on to be safe.. i will get back to yous when done...
