nah defiantely not!! when the speedo works the steering is fine.. then when the speedo doesnt work it is fine for a couple of minutes of driving then goes hard... what caused your speedo to not work?? mine stops because of the gear in the gearbox on the pinnion assembly... i know for a fact that r32 have this "speed sensitive steering"...

nah it will definately fail!!! because you are using a 20 tooth cog now rather than the 17 tooth cog the cog is fatter.. if you look at the shaft of the pinion assembly the shaft is slightly off center thats why you have to rotate it 180 degrees otherwise the cog will be sitting too hard agianst the thing that drives it and grind away!!! i bassically have the same thread going that i started ages ago that is the same as this.. it explains it a bit better in there.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p;#entry3185872

i have an r32 with an rb25 gearbox and my speedo doesnt work... but untill i get it fixed the speed sensitive steering is pissing me off!! because there is no "speed reading" the steering is soft as then after about 30 secs the steering goes hard as a rock... does anyone know where the sensor is located for this or how it works?? i know it must be somewhere between the speedo cable and the tacho... although i may be wrong... thanks leigh.

you can use the 17 tooth navara pinnion assembly then get it calibrated.. but i called a couple of places and they want like $160 to do it

i went to nissan today they dont make the r33 speedo cog anymore, or the whole drive!!! and they dont make the navara pinion assembly with the 21 tooth cog.. does any1 have a spare r33 pinion assembly? or are any others the same? i only want the cog off it!! my tailshaft only costed me $100 i used my r32 tailshaft and just put the yoke off the r33 tailshaft on it..

i did this conversion a while ago for my r32.. i had great succcess with the speedo for about 6 months but yesterday it has failed!!! i had a navara pinion assembly with the cog off the r33 but when i first put it on the cog cracked and has now fallen off 6 months later!! you need to make sure that you cut a new slot on the oposite side of the other for the locator, otherwise the cog sits too close and will grind away... i went down to nissan today to try and get a new r33 cog but they dont make them anymore.. not even the whole pinion assembly!! so i have no idea what to do now which is really anoying becuse r32s have speed sensitve steering so now my steering has gone real hard.. anyone know where u could source cogs from?? oh and you cant use gtr cogs because they go inthe oposite direction and will just get hacked up anyway..

mine costed nowhere neir that!! all up aroung $1500.. but my speedo has now again stopped working.. so i am gonna work out what i can doo...

as the title say i am after a oil pump in very good condition.. it has to have apsolutely no wear on the drive pully... thanks leigh.

rad33: yes the turbo will bolt straight up but you will need to do a couple of things like i have said in the first post.. DJRIFT: i think it would be a very good street or drift turbo on an rb25.. good response and alot of wheelspin when it hits boost.. you would expect at least 250 rwkw if not more.. but i dont know as i only had it on a rb20..

you use all your own bolts from your rear hicas unit.. all you do is swap them over.. very easy to do!!!.. but you will need some rubber hose with an id of 10mm for the lines that go to the unit.. all you do is cut the lines and loop them up with the rubber hose and some hose clamps.. there is a diy on here or nissan silvia that tells you what to do.. it only takes about 1 hour to do..
