  1. This is mine with AVC-R
  2. So have you done this to yours?
  3. So will anyone confirm whether this is a viable option and what disadvantages there are in doing this opposed to buying aftermarket ones? Sounds a bit ghetto to me
  4. I got my Blitz FMIC kit from nengun...good buy and from memory was under $1000 (just) delivered. Retains the stock intercooler piping. I was disappointed that the blitz piping did not come polished (i thought it looked polished in the pic) so I just gave it a buff myself. Most of it is hidden behind the front bar anyway.
  5. I have the AVR_R too. Happy with the way it performs, however I would prefer easier boost change (e.g. from A-B settting), it would be easier to have an "A" button and a "B" button or HI/LOW boost button, instead of having to navigate through the menu. Saying that, it does the job it is meant to, doesnt spike and holds boost nicely right up to redline. I probably should have gone the Apexi boost control add on for the PFC, and if i had the choice again that is what I would do. It is one less thing to try to mount on the dash (and hide from cops/thieves).
  6. It is not just about flow RATE, but spray pattern. You need a fine "mist" for efficient combustion. Simply cutting the tip off will not achieve this.
  7. I have a gas soldering iron, heat-shrink etc, but not enough experience to do someone elses install - its all well and good to have a "bash" on your own project but I wouldnt want to stuff up anyone elses. I would be interested in getting some advice or even just watching a few CARPC installs - this is what I want done next. I am about to have a boot install done by FHRX.
  8. Everyone wants something for nothing... But the price has come down quite a bit in the last 12 months. I bought my 33 about 18 months ago, i would guess it has depreciated about 5-8k since I bought it even with the mods I spent money on. I would definately buy privately for my next car/bike. I bought from a dealership and STILL had to spent money on tires, brake pads, tune, bushes, A/C regas as they did not do these things which they were meant to.
  9. 1. Finish my car so that I am finally happy with it and can stop spending money upgrading. i.e. -rebuild engine with a very safe 300+ rwkw -fix all of the little cosmetic bits that I am always going to "get around to" like fixing the side skirts. I just want to have the car to a stage where I am satisfied. When will I be able to stop? 2. Finish my degree THIS IS THE LAST YEAR!!! 3. Get a good job, make lots of $$$$$$ 4. Lose 5kg then put on 10 5. Cut down on my road rage
  10. Yep returned it to the shop today, money back, no questions asked. The guy said he could resell it within 5 minutes.
  11. Any idea if you can take it back for a refund after it has been opened? My Mum got one for my brother and he doesnt want it - lots of $ for something that will just sit around. He played it for 1 hr today and got sick of it. We got: Console 2nd Remote and nun-chuck GT racing game. Think it was over $630 all up, what should we expect to get it now that it is open with 1hr game play? Does it lose LOTS of value as soon as the plastic is opened? Still has FULL warranty and all from EB games, i think for 1 year (minus about a week cos thats when we bought it) Thanks
  12. I thought the penalty for driving with an auto license in a manual car is the same as if you had no license at all. Effectively you are driving "unlicensed"
  13. How much damage is done on the head and what is required to repair?
  14. Still waiting on official spec sheet from Garrett, they will be marketing these soon and I will make a specific thread about them hopefully within the next week or so. I had very little input into the whole process, they took my car and a few weeks later I got it back with the prototype on. They were very impressed with the performance and it has been matched specifically to the RB25. If you are genuinely interested send me a PM and when it becomes available I will be sure to send you all updates. I will not start a specific thread until price, specs etc are set in concrete.
  15. Give Garrett a call, they made up a prototype direct bolt on kit for the RB25DET, it will include a dump pipe to suit as well. I have the first one made on my car and it performs great...full ball bearing cartridge. The dyno sheet is here : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p;#entry2742135 on the last page.
  16. MORE PICS PLEASE I like this idea for the 2 amps i have (false floor) anyone got anything similar?
  17. Anything happening yet? I did not select to have my series II guide powder coated, does this mean it will be sent out now?
  18. For sale 6 x Nismo 555cc injectors - SOLD -Thanks Adrian Tomei Exhaust cam gear PN 152010 $220 Dont wait weeks/months for delivery from Japan. Selling cam gear as I forgot to take it with me for the dyno tune, i do not want to pay to have the timing done again just to add a cam gear. Need the money now and I can do this further down the track when the engine comes out. Located in Sydney. Cheers

  21. What about his eyebrows?
  22. Warranty that does not cover anything = waste of money I bought my car with "3 year full warranty" It covered Engine (up to $1500 or something), Gearbox ($1000) turbo $500 and thats about it. The warranty was ONLY valid if the car "was not modified from manufacture specifications" I bought the car with a few mods on it, and when i had problems the warranty wouldnt cover any of it because the car was not stock. The fact that the dealer modified the car before it was transported to me did not matter, they actually void the warranty before I got the car. The dealership does not actually offer the warranty they "buy" it from someone else, an external company. Read the fine print carefully with warranty, it may seem like "fool proof" cover, but you will find that a LOT of the time they wont cover much at all, and it is VERY easy to void.
  23. Why not private sale? will get it a few $$ cheaper and chances are if he is a fussy owner MOST of the problems will have been sorted out. Unlike a dealer who just import the cars and sell them on as quickly as possible buy hiding the problems. That my 2c
