  4. Main mods are: Nismo fuel pump Full exhaust Custom Garrett turbo - full boost by 3.1 k z32 AFM Blitz FMIC AVC-R Power FC Radiator upgrade Nismo 555cc injectors Tomei Cams Splitfires Stock internals Made 295 rwkw at 17 psi Clutch starting to slip though (on road, was OK for dyno run) so time for another upgrade - not making excuses though, very happy with the results as usual
  5. What is the material? You should be able to get someone to weld it shut. Worst case weld a bung into it or a small plate over the top - should be a fairly cheap fix - not worth the cost of a new exhaust. At a guess an exhaust shop and < $100 should easily cover it -- especially if you take the exhaust off and into the shop yourself you will save some cash - easier and quicker to weld on a bench.

  8. Is this like a business for you?
  9. Haha I am trying as hard as I can... 4 exams and 16 days to go and the removal truck arrives :D:D:D Car should be nice and safe at my parents place. Car will be in the workshop for the entire time, i'll get the truck to pick my car up from the workshop.
  10. I would not really blame the cops about this one. I am upset at strata management. even after this has happened guess what brilliant idea they had. They are putting bash plates over the door that was broken into. Keep in mind there are another 6 doors exactly the same without the bash plates... I wonder if they will just go to another door if they want to get back in again? Tight arses - how much is a piece of steel plate ? Compare that to nearly 50k damage last week. hmmmm Beware of people putting tape over the gate sensors too, they started trying to do that here as well... follow someone inside and put something over the gate sensor so it doesnt close. Another way of them getting in apparently is a safety switch on a lot of the gate motors, they are 'clever' enough to put a hook on a pole, stick it through the gate and pull the little lever. Places have been putting little boxes around the safety switch so you have to stick your finger up inside it to release the gate to try and stop this. Anyone want to start up a window repair business with me? :S
  11. These guys knew they were on tape, looked straight at the cameras and stuck their fingers up. Wearing hoodies and sunnies. I had no idea it was this bad in Sydney.
  12. I am going as fast as I can, 17 days to go, can't wait. Car wont be ready though, it will be trucked up later/
  13. Sucks big time... Apparently they have been doing apartments too - whilst people are home too. The cops said its getting really bad at the moment. I am not bringing my car home from the workshop because of this, and have moved expensive items from my apartment. I move out in 3 weeks just need to not get robbed before then - super paranoid And yes I have insurance - but huge excess.
  14. I am sure some of you already know about this (and there might be other posts on this matter - but I haven't read any) There is a group going across sydney apartments breaking in to cars and taking everything. They hit the apartment across the road from me two weeks ago, 80+ cars had smashed windows and anything of value was taken from inside. This is from underground 'secure' car parks with video surveillance. I am pissed that management did not bother to tell us the place across the road had been done, and so had others in the area. The main reason I rented this apartment was because of the security parking - 2 security gates to drive in/out of the carpark. My apartment building was hit Thursday night, and at first count 57 cars were broken into (that came from the window repair duder who was the only one that is coming out on top from all of this - so there were probably more that haven't had them fixed yet). The little bastards broke through a fire door and must have had someone on lookout, but they got a lot of stuff - mainly GPS units, cash, sunnies and the like. The window bloke said it has been happening all across sydney lately and he has never been so busy (but I don't think he is behind it all haha) I am really really lucky that I ordered the wrong cams for my car and because of that, it was not ready in time to be picked up last Thursday. They seemed to know what they were doing as they smashed front and rear windows in cars with alarms so they didnt have to open doors to check front and back. Has anyone else had the same thing happen near them recently?
  15. Mine arrived safely last week.... looks very nice and well made, cant wait to stick it on the car. Thanks heaps.
  16. Haha Kapooka I remember good ol pooks, go RAAC, shame we still had to polish the brass up. We got busted taking a fan apart, sticking wet and dry to the fan centre and using it to polish brass - result: no fan for anyone, 40+ degree days, lots of sweaty nights. I am in the process of polishing a stock plenum too...WAY too much work, but I have spent too much time to give up now.
  17. edit
  18. Mate has one of these, think it has a badge on the front seats too, and the badges you mentioned behind the rear quarter windows. I have a set of tomei cams for this model for sale (bought by mistake brand new), they only fit the late series II's (and 40th anniversary)
  19. Mate there is almost that just in a sub box alone Then plexiglass is not cheap Sound deadening is around the $300 mark for installation Painting the installation $200 odd Boot install is between $800-$1500 including amp racks, then on top of that is sub box and sound deadening. Most shops charge on average $70-$100 per hour plus materials, I would like to see quality work done , from start to finish for $500. FHRX is doing my car - i dont like cheap dodgy crap in my car. $2500 is reasonable considering the time, and quality finish I am after. Did you get your quote from autobarn?
  20. Second that I am getting a basic install done next week at a cost of $2500 I am supplying all wiring/amps/sub/sound deadening and I was quoted for a very basic install (two amp racks built into a false floor and a MDF sub box) all flat panels, no fibreglass etc with just a plexiglass panel showing each amp.
  21. BUMP!!! No lowball offers, especially on cams. I will not sell them for a rediculous price, if you think you can find a set for $500-$600 brand new, then go and buy them, and get me another set whilst you are at it. The cheapest I have seen them in Aus is $799 which is already super cheap. Enough said.
