  1. I can say too much, but... I am still using hydraulic lifters. With twin cam motors huge lift isnt necessary and after 7.6mm lift (0.300") the increase in airflow for lift is very, very marginal. Duration determines where in the rev range peak power is made so dont go too much past 270 otherwise the RB30 wont be able to spin fast enough to make the most of the cams... I had to search hard and long to get the cams I wanted. Ended up finding a set in Japan, being shipped as we speak!
  2. Yep. I just purchased a set of R32 RB20DE(T) cams to go into RB25 non-VVT head as part of my RB30DE build up...
  3. The SAFC is only for fine adjustment of the signal going to the ECU and I dare say that the DFA would be the same. To be able to run twin AFM you would need to either adjust the entire fuel table for the smaller values, or find / make some sort of circuitry that adds two voltages together. This is not overly difficult in principle, however finding part will be the key. The other option is to run the AFM circuitry in parallel. This will give half the resistance for a given airflow and as such twice the voltage. Then you may be able to use an SAFC or similar device to correct the signal back to near original. However, seeing that the AFM has current limiting circuitry within it, I dont know if the above would work at all... The only thing to do is set up 2 AFM on a bench and measure the output signal... Although, if your going to the effort of twin throttle bodies why not get rid of the AFM altogether and use an aftermarket ECU with either MAP sensor or throttle position sensor?
  4. TOMEI R32 RB20 DE(T) cams purchased! Thanks all for your help!
  5. What are you doing with your old 68mm throttle body and plenum?
  6. G'day all, I am currently in the process of building an RB30DE using an R32 RB25DE head. I am chasing a set of cams to suit the RB25 head, but can only find some to suit R33 RB25. I want to know if these are the same as / interchangeable with the cams from the R32 RB25. The other option I have is to use the R33 head. I would prefer not to do this as it will require running oil lines for VVT (which is most likely not going to be used anyway) and machining of the water galleries in the RB30 block. Although, if running oil lines and machining the block is not overly difficult I may consider using the R33 head. What do other recommend / done in the past? Thanks in advance!
