Ecu Interface Cables With Nissan Datascan
caz replied to caz's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi Dave, I intend to sell them for quite a while! They system will work on nearly all performance Nissans between 89 and 97; so yes it will definitely work with an R33 just as nicely as an R32. The software was actually written for an R33. It plugs into your diagnostic port, which is usually near the drivers right foot. Caz... -

caz replied to caz's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I will be at ORAN PARK Raceway tomorrow morning for the trackday, so if anyone would like to see this system in action or just use it to run a check on their car, please drop me an email to sort times. Kind Regards, Caz.. [email protected] **I will also have the PDA diagnostic tuner 'EcuXtend' demo unit with me -
Zeds are fun , I've had mine for 2 years, I play hard with her . To me they look hot and the 'full' engine bay is awesome, a suprise to those who havent seen one before.... Up to 170,000km on the clock now and still stock turbos , internals and transmission . I use quality fluids and thats about it! I love the Skylines too, hence my interest in this forum PS, Im not a Cardigan wearing afternoon napper <_<

It was a top day and what an event for his first run ever! Talk about pressure to perform . 12.2 was a good time and 124mph is brilliant! We only got a few runs so there isnt much practise time! It was an adrenalin filled day and night, with sunburn , laughs and snags as well....

Absolutely awesome time! Congratulations

Hey guys, the diagnostic tool you need isnt expensive! and you can share it with any mates that have a pre 97 Nissan with the grey consult diagnostic port. If you have a laptop ,USB ECU Interface cable and software can cost as little as $155. If you are interested, check out my ad in the 'for sale from our sponsors' . Im quite happy for you to borrow mine too if you are Sydney based. Cheers, Caz...

Hey Carl h, Im not sure where you are, but if you were wanting to record some engine data and graph it , to see whats happenning ,I have the cables, DataScan 1-4 and the Datalog graphing software on my laptop if you want to borrow it. Can also reset ECU and do power balance(drop each cylinder)Im Wollongong way, NSW. Cheers, Caz..

It advances your timing, just dangerous. Shit like that shouldnt be allowed to be sold.

Im not a skyline ,but front the same issues with fuel I'd imagine. I get BP Ultimate first choice and Synergy 8000 second. I find those 2 both equally good fuels, so long as they are from high turnover stations. Synergy is usually just a bit dearer. Optimax if desperate and only enough to get me out of trouble.

Hey Grumpz, No its not a black Busa, its this one [ There are lots of street bikes run WSID , just for fun or curiosity as to what their bike and themselves are capeable of. I would think a strip time on a bike like a R1, Gixxer or Blade would have a lot to do with rider, just watching it looks damn hard to keep the front down! It wasnt a street meet last night at WSID,it was National Open Comp with Nitro funny cars and Top fuellers doing a bit of testing. A top website where you can lose hours if you like bikes is www.uponone.com. Some of the best bike clips I've seen, Cheers, Caz.. quote=GRUMPZ,30 Oct 2005, 06:46 PM] im in the hunter !!! not that close to wsid have been there, with mate that had a 400 chev in torana he likes the blades i like the gixers. caz is that a black busa??? if is so yeah that thing is wild ( i dont want to go that crazy) i geuss im also just asking which one of these is easier to get parts/maintain and you were very happy with ( some one told me honda's find it hard sometimes to get parts?) hey it's good to see some of you guy's ride too yeah busa runs a hi 9 dont know excact figure but they are better to launch having a longer wheel base B) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Hey GRUMPZ, Im not sure where you are but why not go to a street drag meet and watch and talk to the guys there. I'm a semi regular at WSID and we always have a good bike turnout. The guys are friendly(its a 'happy' place )and will talk your ears off if you are genuinely interested. You'll see a good cross section of fast street bikes in action and get hands on direct info instead of passed on opinions. Go Leonard Azzarpardi !! He won his class at WSID last night on his sweeet as turbo'd Busa.....consistant 8 sec passes, just beautiful. I've probably been around bikes longer than you've been walking....I still remember the huge excitement at the release of the ZZR1100 Cheers, Caz..

NISSAN ECU INTERFACE CABLE, USB version with NISSAN DATASCAN 1-4 and DATALOG VIEWER Software. For those who aren't familiar with these, the cable allows you to connect your laptop to your cars ECU(computer)via the diagnostic/OBD1 port.(pictured here) Simply plug in, no installing required. Once the NISSAN DataScan 1-4 software is installed onto your laptop you are able to view/monitor most of your engine sensors real time, read fault codes and clear them, perform active tests such as power balance, make temporary adjustments to ignition timing, injector cycles, fuel pump and more, great diagnostic/ monitoring tool. You are also able to record logfiles of your car and with the new Datalog Viewer software, quickly transform this information to an easy to read colour coded graph. The cable length, approx 1.8m, allows it to be used from the passenger seat or in the engine bay. These cables are commercial quality and are used in some of our major workshops, they are not the home hobbiest version but a highly developed, micro enginered product. They DO NOT have the interface box along the cable. Prices: Dedicated USB Cable alone : $120 Nissan DataScan +USB Cable: $155 Complete package of USB ECU Interface Cable, Nissan DataScan and Datalog Viewer software : $180 There is a RS232(serial) version of the cable also available, it is $20 less than the USB version. P+H $10 Payment by bank transfer is preferred. I am located Nth of Wollongong but will post worldwide. Kind Regards, Caz.....

Nissan Datascan And Consult Interface
caz replied to cowie165's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Hey thats my engine bay! I distribute those cables you saw there. They are quite different to the home made ones. If you have a close look you will see that they don't have that box along the cable. They are developed way past the others, I even have a dedicated USB version now for those with laptops too new to have a serial port. They are $100 for the RS232(serial) and $120 for the new USB one. Nissan DataScan 1-4 is great software, I can email anyone who' interested the full details of what you can do with it. I also have dist. rights to a great new Datalog graphing software, colour coded graphs of your logged info. Ill put an add in the Business's section as soon as the link works for me. But in the mean time feel free to contact me if you would like to know anything about it. I also have most of the free software thats available too. Cheers, Caz.. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=117698 -
