  1. I can't believe this is still for sale ! This is top shelf stuff and can only be purchased through GE Aircaft Engines in the USA ( AFAIK ) and you don't wanna know what it costs to buy a minimum amount + shipping !! Since I got a couple of confused ( ? ) PM's I'll try to take some more pics to show how this suff can be used.
  2. Nah, Sorry. This is what I have. Just clearing out the garage
  3. Sould cover a fair bit of stuff depending on how you use it ( single or double overlay ).Best way to hold it in place is with those stainless steel straps that hold exhaust wrap on but you can also use ~41 thou lockwire or cable ties.
  4. As per title, in perfect condition outside ( no scratches etc ) but the bits where the screws go into are a bit 2nd hand ( still works fine tho ). $50 delivered
  5. Got a whole bunch of fittings. Some are Earls and some Ryco and some ? $60 posted for the lot.
  6. I have 1 sheet of heat reflective insulation blanket. It's about 240mm x 940mm. This is the stuff used on aircraft panels & fairings and the quality is second none ! It's soft, pliable and very strong and it's very thin so it's great for tightplaces. Condition: New & Unused Price: $90 Delivered in Aus
  7. I have 1 length of Titeflex Insulation Wrap. It's about 3600mm long relaxed. This is the stuff used on aircraft tubes for insulation and the quality is second none ! It has 2 stepped graduations so you can vary the thickness when applied. I've wrapped it around the tube of silastic to give you an idea of how it fits. Condition: New & Unused Price: $70 Delivered in Aus
  8. lol, just remembered that I still have this. Make an offer !

    Still lookin'
  10. Now we're talking !! I'll do all I can to be there. SMS me the addy when the time comes Craig. Cheers.
  11. lol.... Actually, I did look at & consider a Caldina but it's not enough of a "wagon" and too much of a "weapon" for our needs. Also, it's something I would be hesitant in handing over to the missus. Could just see the headlines........ "Young mum in high speed pursuit with toddler on board had no idea she was being chased". I think it's time to go check out the M35.
  12. Let me just start by saying AT NO POINT DID I COMPARE A STAGEA TO A HYUNDAI !! Nice one Craig !! I said that the 2 vehicle options we are looking at for my missus are an M35 ARX and an i30 Hyundai wagon. The Stag looks like a great a B4YB option that has some minor issues. The i30 wagon is a huge compromise in many ways but it's a brand new car with 5 years warranty and I don't have to work on it Also, if the missus gets the occasional scratch / ding on the i30, I won't care whereas if she dings the Stag, we will have "discussions". The main reason I included ( and lean towards ) the M35 Stagea is because I've been driving import Nissan's for almost 15 years so I know about "bang 4 your buck". And I'm not here to sh!t on the M35 Stagea. I just want to put some issues to bed and be a little more confident about stepping into something very different from all the other Nissans I've ever owned. In my eyes, I see the M35 as more Renault than Nissan and that concerns me a little since I've worked on Renault's in the past and I hate them. BezerkR32, your comment has just gone a long way towards reversing that apprehension. Anyway, thanks to those for their constructive comments Bis-e Bee, Cheers for clearing that up You do have a very nice ride !
  13. Wow, so that's what happens when you throw a rock at a wasp's nest OK, firstly, I'll explain some of the comments I've been hearing re the M35. 1. They're thirsty ! 2. Availability of aftermarket parts for the M35 is poor to hopeless. ( backed up yet again by Duncans comment ) 3. There's little to no interchangeability of parts between this model and previous models ( inc Skyline's ) for both maintenance and upgrades. ( backed up yet again by Duncans comment ) 4. The room for passengers in the back seats is pretty much the same as most Jap Imports ( far from that of most Aus delivered cars ) ( I'll have to see about this for myself though ). 5. Getting usability from the screen ( MFD ? ) is annoying / costly. There's more but I can't think of them ATM. I won't go into all the examples that generated my comments / questions but here's one recent example....... Bis-e Bee, you purchased your car in Feb 09, you've proudly talked about it since then, and yet, I've just seen it on Carsales........... No need to explain but......... Craig, I know you love yours....... That was never in question ! Duncan, this will be for the missus, not me so sorry, I'm keeping the GT-V Anyway, with all this said, the 03 AR-X M35 Stagea and the Hyundai i30 wagon are the most favourable options ( puts fire suit on and ducks ). Anyway, responses / chats are most welcome.
  14. Have been thinking about getting a M35 for a while now so I've been tracking / trolling info re M35's and I've noticed that not many people hang on to their M35's for that long. Have noticed some M35 owners selling their car within months of owning it. Anyway, is their something specific about M35's that's wrong ? Alternatively, what's good or bad about the M35 ? Would really like some input please.
  15. Prol SA vs. NSW. Everyone knows that Sydney is the heart of crime in the southern hemisphere lol.
  16. 41 ! Car has minimal mods and is young, clean & straight condition. 65% NCB rating etc, etc, etc......... Famous............. Premium: $1,867.00 Excess: $1,000.00 Car Value: $19,000.00 ( ........F*@K THAT !! ) Currently with LSV ( Premium: $1,229.00 Excess: 1,000.00 Car Value: $17,000.00 ) The only thing that might keep me with LSV is: Choice of Repairer, Glass Coverage up to $750 per submission & 14 Days Car Hire. Anyway, I found some more posts on JC so with all info considered ( good & bad stories ) I'm thinking I might give them a go since they're offering: Premium: $1,306.00 Excess: $1,100.00 Car Value: $21,500.00
  17. For those of you with Just Cars, how do you find their consistency with regards to maintaning the value of your car and the cost of the premium / excess etc ? I was with Torque for "many" years and then they got taken over by LSV in 2008 ( no big deal right ? ). LSV were answering to Lumley General Insurance ( still no big deal right ? ). LSV are now answering to Wesfarmers General Insurance and all of a sudden LSV dropped the value of my car down 3 grand and bumped up my premium by $400 So, with no right of reply, I'm thinking about changing to Just Cars. P.S. I know I'm not from SA but this thread is about the best I could find on my search
  18. When I used to own my HR31 GTS-X about 12 years ago I used to get waves and thumbs-up from 3/4 of the population of Syd, and on heaps of occasions I was asked if I could pull over so they could have a look at the car and ask questions etc. Even had cops pull me over just for a look and chat ( they mostly thought it was a GT-R at first ). This was a time when owning an Import Skyline was something VERY special and I was part of a group with few members. Then I got my R32 GTS-T and always got waves etc and the occasional chat at the lights and then as more and more Skylines hit the roads there became more of the "too cool to give a wave or nod" crew out there. I now drive an N/A Series 2 R34 4 door and I may as well be invisible or a known murderer ! To most Skyline drivers, my car "does'nt count". I used to give a wave or nod etc but now, CBF since I get no response. Not having a cry about it at all, but it's kind of a shame. I think the whole acknowledgement thing is more common when the car you're driving is un-common, clean and original.

  22. Cheers for the top day all. Was great to catch up with peeps I have'nt seen in ages. Was great to just open on the Taxi and see what it could do. ( rather pleasantly surprised too ). I might actually bleed the brakes for the next one And yes Duncan, I'm soft After a couple of good sessions I decided to not push my luck ( not enough disposable cash now with a kid ) Anyway, had a great time and cheers to all. P.S. To the guy parked next to the Massel Commodore that owned the black R32 GT-R with the factory light-up quarter window louvers, man I LOVE your car !!!!!!
