May have to organise to meet at the next dinner. While I am happy for the occasional visitor, I don't want to have to stay home every night waiting for people to rock on over. Howdy peeps. I do some work for a fire company and we quite often have perfectly good fire extinguishers that we cannot sell due to legislation. These cylinders work perfectly. We have everything from small 1kg (perfect for a car) to massive 9 Litre air/water and 9kg powder. If anyone needs an extinguisher please let me know. I am located in Sherwood (if you want to pick up) but am often at Club events if that is easier. Cheers, Ben.

I have witnessed Haltech loose one of their large QLD dealers due to them having incorrect wiring diagrams and then arguing with the guy who has installed hundreds of them in actual race cars. He got tired of arguing with them and dropped them completely. In another case they had a defective unit which cost someone an engine and they didn't want to know about it.

At the end of the day Dave, I know you and small handful of others are upset with us moving back here. Give it a go and see how it goes. If you don't like it run for President again at the AGM (which is coming up very soon) and you can poll the members and make descisions based on a majority vote which is exactly what this exec did. They didn't force anyones hand, they didn't bribe or pursuade anyone. They had an idea with the best intentions for the club in mind, they put it to the members and a MAJORITY voted in favour of returning. Secondly. I have a full copy of the old site so it can be reinstated at any time should the member base wish to do so by a majority vote. I have always served at the pleasure of the exec and will continue to do so regardless of where the club lives online. For me, it is all about the events and actually doing something with my cars. Being back here is good because it is all in the one place which makes it easier. Happy to discuss this in further detail with you in person if you like, perhaps over a few drinks. ( no straws in yours this time i promise )

I am a big fan of Herradura Anejo when it comes to Tequila. I like it better then the Patron. Good to sip on like a fine Cognac. I am a big fan of Kraken or if I am feeling cheap, the Bacardi Oakheart is quite good for the price.

You cannot come onto a public forum, make accusations and threats of leaving and expect nothing in return. seriously Dave. I had higher expectations from you of all people. You have sat in the hot seat before and know all to well how best intentions by any exec can be misunderstood at times and often when a "QUESTION" is asked a reasonable and logical answer can be found. Hey Boz, I too love Laphroaig 10, it is about the only scotch I drink these days. A close second for me would have to be Caol Ila. I find it to have more "taste" then the Oban. I tried the Laphroaig Quarter Cask and the 25 year old but I actually preferred the 10 year old. I used to drink quite a bit of Lagavulin 16 also. But I am finding it too sweet for me now. Agreed about drinking it neat. Only way to really appreciate the flavours. Don't get me started on Cognac though.
