  1. I saw those on ebay (they come in other colours as well) and I was wondering who would be the first one in the Skyline community to have one on there car - I should have guessed it would be Duncan
  2. One of the main functions of the undertray is to create a low pressure area in the engine bay which helps to suck air through the radiator. I remember talking to Sydneykid about this with his R32 GTS-T track car and it ran about 5 degrees cooler with it on in race conditions so he put it back on the car. The gain would not be as defined in a street car due to the slower speeds and reduced heat levels but anything to reduce heat in a RB engine bay has to be good.
  3. That is where the senser for the ABS attaches to. I have simply made up a plate to cover the hole and attached it wth a bolt to keep it in place.
  4. I am upset now - I do not mind Kel being faster than me and if she was driving the Stagea it would be fine but I have a problem being slower than the Leaf This gives me an incentive to improve my driving or do some more mods just to keep up with the Leaf next time......
  5. The Series II sedans came with a different radiator support panel to all of the other R33's and different headlights (I have first hand experience with this doing a repair on a coupe and being sold a sedan support panel). Your options are to obtain a set of Series II sedan headlights or replace the radiator support panel and then you can use Series I or Series II coupe headlights.
  6. It is good to see that S14, S15 and 300Z qualify for this category. It is amusing that GTS-T's do not qualify as a Sports Car yet a Ford Mustang does.
  7. You have PM.
  8. The headlight switch simply turns on the headlights. To choose low beam the indicator stalk is in the position close to the steering wheel - to change to high beam push the indicator stack away from the steering wheel to the other position. To flash the high beam pull the indicator stalk closer to the steering wheel against spring tension. This is the standard way the headlights are turned on with all Jap cars.
  9. I was impressed by many aspects of the Mega Meet Simply how many cars turned up considering the showery conditions - it was amazingHow very well behaved eneryone wasThe wide spectrum of cars that attended from classic cars, nicely modified imports, street driven imports to the 17 year old red "P" platers driving a shitbox covered in stickersWe had no trouble leaving the site and there was no Police presence travelling south from the venue to the M7The one thing that stood out for me was the lack of brand rivelry (none of the normal Ford V Holden crap) instead good cars seemed to get respect for what they were irrespective of the brand as long as it was JDM.
  10. This is a common Skyline problem for cars that have been in hard water areas. Unique Autosports in Sydney make a "Chrome Molly Upper Radiator Outlet for the Intake Manifold" for $65. They had so many cars present for service work with this problem that they designed a replacement part (it is on their website). You simple remove the existing unit and replace it with this one.
  11. I also have not received a PM.
  12. Payment made and forms sent to the SAU Gmail account.
  13. Mate you are a week too late as I just dumped a set of Toyo's in 245/40/18 to put on some semi slicks
  14. R33's and R34's share suspension components and setup so what works in one would work in the other. I would suggest that you start by coming along to a Texi day (there is one on 30 March in Sydney) to get the fell of your car going sideways in a safe controlled environment. There will a number of cars there and you can talk to other drivers about what works and what doesn't. Then from that experience decide what mods you want to do first.
  15. Clinton and I will be in for this one. Form printed and completed - payment will be made tomorrow.
  16. Clinton and I will be there.
  17. I put a Nismo cluster in my GTR and then put the GTR cluster in my Series II GTS-T and just swapped my speedo over to the GTR cluster. It was a very simple job just take your time to carefully undo the screws and remove and install the speedo.
  18. Clinton and I are sick as a dog with "man flu" so we will not be attending - I hope it fines up for the event
  19. A big thanks to all the SAU organizers and the guys at motor active for putting on a great night. I was very impressed by the product demonstrations and could not believe how far wrap products have come in the last few years because the R31 bonnet simply looked amazing.
  20. On reading the fine print on the entry ticket the VIP Pass gets you access through the Competitors entrance where normal entry is via the spectators gate and the long access road. Competitors entrance here we come !!!
  21. Damaged sumps are a very common problem in Syklines and for example of the 6 RB25's I currently have only three have sumps without a mark on them. There are two ways that you can do this. The first is the standard engine out - replace sump - reinstall. The other option is to raise the engine slightly with an engine crane and install an engine hanger that spans fron one front guard to the other and then support the engine from the hanger. Next you support the car on a hoist for easy access under the car. Then remove the engine mounts, undo the lower control arms inner mounts and then remove the front crossmember. If you then raise the car on the hoist you have easy access to the bottom of the motor to remove the damaged sump and install a new one. Either approach is not that difficult it just requires equipment and time to complete the job.
  22. VIP ticket secured - see you all there
