  1. It is only when you start to compare the Time Attack times with the Eastern Creek Lap records do you start to realise how quick some of the cars are going. Today was dry but very windy and seriously cold so getting tyre temps up would have been a challenge all day. We caught up with Russman today and he was coming to grips with the track and the conditions and improving as the day progressed. To do a 1.39.6 in the conditions was a great result that he hopefullly will improve on tomorrow. 2. I have been down this path and I also did not want to get ripped off by nissan. I was able to obtain three boots that had the exacty same dimensions as the factory boots for about $15 each but there was one that I had to go to Nissan for and it cost me about $80 for that one. It was a few years ago now and I no longer have the part number info to help you with but shop around and you can find them. Good luck.
  3. You have PM
  4. How much are you asking for it?
  5. you have a pm
  6. I would not be surprised if they try to charge you $30 to change the plates because you are of the opinion that there is something wrong with a perfectly good set of plates that they issued to you.
  7. I have even had cops do a "U" turn and follow me while they run a check on my GTR. On multi lane roads they then draw up beside me to check me out and when they see that it is an old guy driving the car they then just drive away and leave me alone. GTR's just attract attention because of their reputation and stance on the road (big wheels and exhaust may have something to do with that). It just means that every time you take the GTR out you have to be on your best behavoiur and never do anything that attracts undue attention - or you could just try wearing a grey wig or an old dude type hat!
  8. Looks good Neil and up to your usual standard of being very tidy with the hose work. I was of the opinion that you were going dry sump - is that still the case or are you just going for a larger volume with baffles like us?
  9. Without a picture to identify which plug you are referring (because these are so many) it is difficult to identify which on it is. They run a few earth straps on the engine and exhaust so that the coolent does not become charged and erode the radiator/block so work out a way to reattach the earth cable. The plug under the drivers seat is connected to the seat belt buckle and when you plug in the seat belt it turns off the seat belt light.
  10. I am ot the opinion that it is an automotive standard that probably originates from Germany. It is simply a standard size hole (width and height) in the dash to fit audio equipment. By having this standard all of the aftermarket audio gear is designed to be the same size. What stuffs you up is when some manufacturers like Mazda make standard sterio units that are 1.5 din size high and you have to make up a small cover panel when you replace it with a standard din unit. We are lucky with Nissan because most of the factory audio gear is the larger 2 din size which then gives you room for another slot for gauges or a pocket.
  11. Just Jap have these OEM Parts for $35.00 here is the link to their page http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=16777&cat=534&page=2
  12. Here are some pics of the rims.
  13. I have sway bars, rims and coil overs and I am located in Wollongong. Also your inbox is full so my PM with pictures bounced back.
  14. It really depends on what you are looking for - either a top shelf stainless unit for big bucks or something cheap. If you want something cheap and loud (front muffler replaced with straight pipe) then I have a 3" exhaust in Woillongong that you can have for $50. As you can see from the last picture there is some damage from scrapping on the ground but this is reflected in the price. It would be easy to weld some plate over this section (what I was going to do) as this is the lowest part of the exhaust and some extra strength would be good if it were to scrape in the future (depends on how low your car is). Please contact me by PM if your are interested and would like to have a look at it.
  15. I am in a similar position as I have recently acquired a genuine R33 GTR N1 oil cooler in mint condition. I would like to use it in my GTR so I am going to flush it with the same mixture that you clean intercoolers with - Equal parts of kero and mentholated spirits. You would be amazed how much oil this mixture gets out of what looks like a clean intercooler. If anyone has any better ideas I am open to suggestions.
  16. When I was buying mine I had the guys at Heasmans (Bilstein Agent) in Sydney check to see if they made PSS9's for a GTS-T and they confirmed that they didn't.
  17. It cost me $200 to have then machined up and tapped for the top studs.
  18. No they do not make a GTS-T option. All you have to do is take my approach and build some spacers for the GTR fronts to fit into a GTS-T because they are different lengths and install a GTR rear cradle to take the yoke style rear shocks. Simple but expensive - then you have to also factor in having then revalved to suite RWD instead of AWD.
  19. Hi, I have a pair of R32 whiteline adjustable rear camber arms for sale, KTA118. They have been used for about 5000kms. Im after $150 for them.
  20. Signed - the more track options that we have in NSW the better.
  21. Clinton has a set of these for the Mazda and they make it handle so much better than an old car like that is entitled to. The biggest issue he had was finding the right tyre pressure to match the light weight of the car as they seem to be pressure sensitive.
  22. OK who has tne software to download and save the YouTube file for this?
  23. I have only met Christian a couple of times and you would not find a nicer bloke. I hope you have a speedy recovery mate from a very serious medical condition.
  24. Gates racing belts are a good quality timing belt. They are blue and are normally noisy when they are fitted - some quieten down after they wear in and others remain noisy depending on your engine. So if it is a Gates belt then your mechanic is correct in what he has been telling you.
