  1. Clinton and I want to give our car a run in this event as part of it's and our development. When will the revised entry form be available or should I just update the WSID form to reflect this event?
  2. I have removed a few GTR badges over ther years and I use the fishing line method. It is important to start the line between the adhesive and the badge and work it back and forth in a cutting action. The trick is to leave the adhesive strip on the panel and not mark the paint. When the badge is off then soften up the adhesive with something like prepsol and slowly peel it off. Good luck and if you take your time you can get them off with no paint damage.
  3. Not going to miss out on this one - money paid and entry forms emailed. First opportunity for Clinton and me to give the new car a run. Excellent posts Kenny - as a drag newbie all the advice we can get is appreciated.
  4. These might interest you - they look good on a R33 - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/364974-starcorp-agle-shadow-chrome-18-x-85-and-18-x-95/
  5. Rims are now sold. I also have my other set of rims for sale here is the link http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/364974-starcorp-agle-shadow-chrome-18-x-85-and-18-x-95/
  6. I have a set of four (4) Starcorp Agle wheels for sale. They are painted in shadow chrome with a polished lip and sit good on a R33 Skyline GTS-25T. To clear Skyline brakes, the rims come with 12 mm hubcentric spacers and special wheel nuts that fit through the wheel and spacers and do up perfectly on standard studs. The Fronts are 18x8.5's with a +38 offset plus the spacers comes down to +26 offset. The tyres are Pirelli P Zero Rosso's in 235/40 R18's with 3mm of tread. The Rears are 18X9.5 with a +45 offset plus the spacers comes down to +33 offset. The tyres are Nankang Ultra Sport NS-2's in 265/35 R18's with 5mm of tread. 1 tyre has been used while deflated and has marks on the sidewall and looses pressure. Check pictures for the wheel's condition. There is some light crazing on the clear coat of the polished lip, and some gutter rash. I'm asking $600 for them ono. I'm located in Wollongong NSW, for Sydney buyers I can meet you at Heathcoate McDonands to save you a trip to Wollongong or I would be able to post them at the buyers expense. If you're interested contact me by pm. Charles.
  7. That is what I need to mount my gauges on - please text me where you sourced the carbon fibre sheet from. How are you going with wheel selection? I have a few sets for my car but 18 x 8 with a 30 offset seems to provide good clearance and fills the R33 guards well. Good old Jap wheels are a lot lighter and stronger that some of the new options that are going around and still affordable. You also have to think about spares as well so multiple sets would be in order. I have stuck with the old favourites of SSR, Enkie, Buddy Club, Nismo and OZ Racing for my collection in keeping with the R33 becoming a classic and look better with rims from the same era.
  8. I have been following your build Ben from day one as we are also building a R32 and I have been impressed by your engineering. I am a bit concerned that your data logger identified that the oil starvation happened under a braking situation. We were of the opinion that the problem was more prevalent under cornering G forces and we designed and built our oil pan (RB25 in a R32) with hinges to control the sideways movement of the oil. We also included the return drain from the back of the head to the side of the sump. Here are a few pictures: What options are there to control the forward movement of the oil away from the pickup?
  9. I have a set of four (4) Silver OZ Racing Crono wheels for sale. The Fronts are 17X8's with a +35 offset. The Rears are 17X9's also with a +35 offset. They have Kinforest KF660 tyres, with 215/45 R17's on the front and 235/45 R17's on the rear, with around 5mm of tread. The wheels are 5 stud with a pcd of 5 x 114.3 and fit a R32 Skyline GTS-T, R33 Skyline GTS-25T, R34 Skyline GT, S14 Silvia / 200SX and S15 Silvia / 200SX. The front wheels clear 4 piston Sumitomo brake calipers with 12mm of clearence between the inside wheel spokes and the outside caliper face and also clear R33 calipers. The rear wheels also clear 2 piston Sumitomo rear calipers. All the wheels are straight with no buckles or cracks. One of the wheels has been professionally repaired following some kurb damage on the inside lip and is now good as new. The wheels have black OZ Racing centre caps on all 4 wheels. I'm asking $500 for them ono. I'm located in Wollongong NSW, for Sydney buyers I can meet you at Heathcoate McDonands to save you a trip to Wollongong or I would be able to post them at the buyers expense. If you're interested send me a pm. Clinton.
  10. When I replaced the front drive shaft boots in my R33 GTR we were able to buy generic ones for 3 of the 4 boots for about $15 each that were identical to the factory boots. The other one was not available and we had to buy it from Nissan for about $77. Shop around and you can save some money.
  11. If you can find a rubber strip that matches the factory shape I will take 10 metres of it because I have three R33's in the driveway with this strip stuffed.
  12. Brad - whenever I need to move something that is a bit heavier or will not roll freely I just use a snatch block to double the force of the winch - it is quick and easy to use and just lives in the 4X4 with the other recovery gear. And your mates at supercrap have them on special at the moment. http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Ridge-Ryder-Heavy-Duty-Snatch-Block-8000kg.aspx?pid=103433#Description
  13. Love the Bunnings lower lip - very creative.
  14. This stuff is not thick by any means and it is Motul's product that is made to compete with the Redline Shockproof range of oils. I will be using it my GTR's gearbox following its great performance in the diff but the final decision is yours to make.

    Drag Day

I would love to give my new car a run at WSID but it will take me a few months to complete the mods and get it tuned - a time in winter when it is cooler would be great.
  16. I was running Redline Shockproof Heavy in the rear diff in my R33 GTR Vspec and it was causing the diff to bejust too tight so I replaced it with Motul LSD Type 2 and it is now working perfectly. I also have purchased some more Motul LSD Type 2 to run in the gearbox in the same car at the next oil change. This oil was designed for front wheel drive cars that have the diff and gearbox in the same housing so is perfect for gearboxes and diffs.
  17. That is the ONLY colour scheme for a white R32 - well done Ben. I have been watching your build from day one and I am so impressed by the end result.
  18. b) R34 GT-T Blitz Induction cover and Sus power LM panel filter - $150 Pictures please?
