  1. What are the part numbers for each of the shocks? Are they from Sydneykid or did you buy them from Bilstein?
  2. Motul supply topped up and at a good price......
  3. We had the exact opposite problem - going from a GTS bootlid with no wing to a GTR bootlid with GTR wing. Ours would not even open as the hinges/spring were not strong enough to cope with the extra weight of the wing. You can have our hinges and springs couried to you for $50 (it is too long to use Aust Post). Please contact by PM.
  4. I am interested in the Bilstein shocks and I have a few questions: - what are the part numbers for the fronts and rears? - what are the spring rates on the springs that came with them? - who carried out the rebuild of them and do you have any documentation regarding what was done? - what would you want for postage to Wollongong NSW 2500?
  5. I am doing the same for my R33 and Nissan have factory rubbers for the front and rear screens for about $600 or you can go for a generic rubber for about $250. Nissan would also have door rubbers but I would be scared to ask for a price. I have been able to compile a stock of good R33 door rubbers from a few wrecks but good second hand R32 door rubbers are becoming hard to find.
  6. The windows going up when the ignition is switched off is not a standard feature on a R33 and would be a funtion of your alarm. If someone has set off your alarm then it has probably caused the problem. I would have it checked out by whoever fitted the alarm or if it was installed before you got the car then go to a local car alarm shop who install that type of alarm. For someone who knows alarms it may be a simple fix.
  7. Hi Chris I will take the cluster - I will give you a call tomorrow to arrange pickup.
  8. I am not game to even think about raising the idea of buying another car with my wife because I already have 9 cars in my driveway and garages. These include R33 GTR, two R33 GTS-T's, R32 GTS25, Mazda SP20, Mazda 626, Toyoto Duel Cab Hilux 4X4, Suzuki 4X4 and a vintage Peugoet. I think that I have just about got all of the bases covered and apart from owning shares in the RTA and Insurance companies my challenge is to hang on to what I have and to find the time to enjoy each of them.
  9. Now you are talking - forget the SR20 go for something big. I can just see a LS1 under the bonnet of your red baby and I am sure that Stuart will head you in the right direction with the install.
  10. You have PM re the APEXI Boost Control Valve for Power FC
  11. Chris - time for the SR20 DET transplant - you know you want to - feel the power again.........
  12. I run HKS Priest exhausts on my R33's. These have a front muffler, a resonator and then the rear muffler. The resonator looks like a hot dog muffler and just takes the growl out of the note. My son has a Trust exhaust with just a front and rear mufflers and it is quite a bit louder.
  13. Leave it alone - good front pipes and a high flow cat will improve flow rates and deepen the exhaust note at idle - it did for me. When I warm my GTR up it is reasonably quiet up close but the deep note resonates that much that it makes my car port vibrate and rumbles up and down the street just to upset the neighbours. Once warm it is nice and quiet down low to keep the cops happy but as soon as you open it up it has a strong note. The other thing that the resonator does is to stop the drone when you are cruising along - the drone is something that gives me the shits very quickly. Give it a try and see if you like it - you can always change the resonator some time in the future if you want to.
  14. I have a Tomei R33 Brake Master Cylinder Stopper for sale $80. It is in good condition and comes with two new stainless steel bolts and washers for easy installation. Master cylinder stoppers do make a big difference in R33's as they improve brake pedal feel. It came off a R33 GTS-T and will fit a GTS but not a GTR due to the different master cylinder, it may also fit a R34 GTT and GT. Item can be picked up in Wollongong or I can post at buyers expense. Please contact me by PM.
  15. These are the Australian version with about half as much power as the Makita BTW450 model. I checked these out and my impact screw driver drill has more torque than this model.
  16. I recently went through the process of purchasing a cordless impact wrench and finally settled on a Makita BTW450 18 v unit. These have comparable or better power to the "Snap On" units and the batteries are compatable with the full range of Makita cordless products. The only issue is that they are not imported by Makita Australia and are either sourced from NZ or USA. Here is a link to one of these on ebay (I purchased mine on ebay from NZ) - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Makita-BTW450-18v-L...=item4a9ca0815e What will it cost? Impact wrench ~$300 Batteries ~$100 each Charger ~$150 Total around $750 plus delivery for each component These units have heaps of power and once you have the charger and batteries Makita also make some good drills, angle grinders, nibblers, etc that use the same batteries. These do everything that the "Snap On" units do but with the new Lithium battery technology. They use a very intellegent charger with a built in fan to keep the battery cool while charging and the ability to communicate with the chip in the battery and vary the charge rate depending on what the battery needs.
  17. I was going to run these in our R32 and then found out that to run in the improved production class of circuit racing you cannot have adjustable arms so I have a brand new set of these that are still in the shrink wrap for sale. The top arms sold for over $600 when they were available but as they are just gathering dust in the garage. I am willing to let these go for $400 and I can provide pictures if required.
  18. Mounting a drivers seat in a R33 is a greater challenge than a R32 because there is no teloscopic function in the steering column. Both cars face the same issue with the four mounting points in the car being on four different planes. We started with after market seat rails just to get the seat mounted in the car and to start to work out where it should go. The main issue is height becuase GTR seats have you sitting nice and low in the car with good clearance on the roof. The next issue is alignment and the need to move the seat as far as you can towards the middle of the car to provide enough room for the door to close and to clear any bar work that you have. We are still not totally happy with our setup and I have even gone to the extent of obtaining a damaged shell to fabricate fixed base frames in and try ideas in until we can come up with something that is not a compromise. Good luck with mounting your seat - it will not be easy.
  19. I will take both front guards and the front mounting brackets if they are not damaged. Let me know if you are going to part it out and I will give you a call to arrange pickup.
  20. Hi Dave - I have one that you can have for $150 - give me a call if you would like pictures and to arrange delivery.
  21. It really depends when the car was complied. Standard there is no dimmer but cars that were complied under the old Green label system often have a dimmer fitted (my R33 GTR does have one). Cars that have recently been complied under the pink label system do not have a dimmer fitted. The same goes for cars that came in under the 15 year old rule as they were closer to original condition. Have a look around the steering column and the underside of the dash for a dimmer knob.
  22. Hi, I have a Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R grille for sale that's white in colour. It's a genuine grill in good condition, with all five mounting tabs still in place. I'm asking $100 plus postage. If you're interested in it send me a pm for further details. Charles.
  23. Forgot all about the Show and Shine - completed forms and copy of payment receipt emailed to Shell tonight. See you guys on Sunday with two of my R33's.
  24. Hi Chris I will be interested on your thoughts regarding the shift light. Clinton and I have these sitting in the garage for our R32 and R33 track cars that we are building.
  25. They look to be two stage springs do you know what the spring rates are? Do the springs have a part number on them so that you can find out the spring rates from HKS? Where are you located?
