  1. You have PM regarding the floor mats.
  2. Tez I have good days and bad days but I am on the road to recovery. I put R33 GTR seats in the GTS-T when I first hurt my back and they do make a big difference. The GTR is a V-Spec and she does ride reasonably hard.
  3. I have had a different problem - two R33 Skylines in the shed and me lying in bed for weeks with a stuffed back - now that is torture. Then when I finally can walk again I can only drive the GTS-T because my back cannot cope with the hard ride of the GTR.
  4. I got mine off with a 3/4 inch rattle gun and some WD40 - not a problem. Prior to that my 600mm 1/2 inch breaker bar was just bending and it was going nowhere. I really think that the impact from the rattle gun is what is required because it came off so easy compared to me busting a gut and getting nowhere.
  5. Please add me to the list for R33 GTR and R33 GTS-T - provided all of the ducks line up and I can get there.
  6. Front suspension and front brakes are now in place and man they look hot........ Please excuse the quality of the phone pictures.
  7. A complete GTR cradle compared to a GTS or GTS-T would be similar in weight but provide a lot more strengh to handle the extra two cylinders. We did the conversion to alloy GTR hubs on Clinton's R32 and saved 3 kg per hub (the important part though is the reduced unsprung weight). Heavier parts include the shafts, diff housing and additional front diff support bracket. Common parts are the top arms, traction arms and lower arms (the only difference on lower arms is the balljoints).
  8. Thanks for the interest guys - sold.
  9. That was me following you - the lights started out bright and clean and by the halfway house were faded over it is amazing what Supra's can do to you. This was yet another well organised SAU event and all those attending were well behaved. I was pleased by how law abiding everyone was with no speeding on any of the straight stretches of road. There are some good pictures posted up.
  10. Currently I have RB25DET and RB25DE engines apart and have compared the covers. The RB25DE has the same covers as a RB20DET (eg flat top) and the RB25DET has a raised section in the rear half of the cover. On inspection inside the RB25DET cover has improved oil management in the rear half of the cover where the raised section is. In theory all of the covers are interchangeable as they all bolt up but the RB25DET covers provide the best oil management.
  11. Item: D-MAX FRP Bonnet for R32 Skyline Age: Not known came with car Condition: Near new has not even been painted Price: $449 ono To Fit: R32 Skyline GTS, GTS-T, GT-R Location: Wollongong NSW Contact: Via PM Comments: As the title says I have a D-MAX vented bonnet for a R32 Nissan Skyline that is in near new condition – has not even been painted. This is a great way to reduce engine bay temperatures as the diagram below shows. This is a great way to save weight and lower the centre of gravity as a GTS-T bonnet weighs 20 kg and this bonnet only weighs 12 kg. The bonnet is in GTR style so if you are installing it on a GTS-T you will also need a GTR grille - refer picture below of it on my car. Prefer pick up or could arrange delivery to Sydney area for cost of fuel - not really suitable for posting.
  12. These are well engineered units that are designed to work with all of the usual mods that are made to Skylines They allow you to still run a sway bar They clear an aftermarket front chassis brace They do not hang down below the front cross member so they are not the first thing to hit when you run over something (like ripple strips or just off the black top) You can still run the stock front under tray They include either a dash 8 or dash 10 fitting on the side of the sump to allow you to run the normal oil drain pipe from the back of the head down to the sump. Here is a picture of one installed on the my son's RB25 engine in his R32. This thing looks so good that I may just have to get one for my R33 GTS-T.
  13. Add me to the list.
  14. Inspection arranged Tuesday evening.
  15. It is really down to the individual. My wife gets scared when she is driving the GTST when it comes on boost and she is just plain frightened when she is asked to drive the GTR. Put her in her own car and she puts the boot into it all the time - so it is just what you are comfortable with. By the same token some of the female SAU members are very impressive behind the wheel and would give any of the guys a run for their money. “Sinful” - Jessica is one who comes to mind who is a better driver when the pedal is on the floor that most of the guys on this site as reflected by her times at track days.
  16. Thanks BHDave I now have a tailshaft.
  17. This is standard on ALL R33 Skylines - you only have two lights on at any time. It is not a legal requirement that you have four lights on when high beam is on and if they try to tell you differently then go to another garage that knows their stuff.
  18. Now just looking for a R32 tailshaft.
  19. I now have a gearbox. Still looking for: R32 tailshaft R32 gearbox cross member
