  1. Inspection arranged for Friday
  2. Only after seeing the picture can I start to really understand why Stuart was so passionate about these throttle bodies - they sure are a beautiful piece of engineering……
  3. Looking for a R32 manual gearbox and tailshaft. Prefer NSW for easy pick up or will consider interstate if seller can arrange courier.
  4. Some pictures would be nice and may even generate some interest.
  5. You have PM re interior parts.
  6. As someone who owns both a R33 GTS-T Series II and a R33 GTR V-Spec I think that I can speak with some knowledge. These are two very different cars in so many respects that the comparison debate will never solve. I appreciate what each of them deliver for me and I would never attempt to make my GTS-T into a GTR. The GTS-T has responsive power, handling and braking. It can be a handful in the wet if it is not on good rubber but it slides so predictably that it is just a lot of fun to own and drive (the perfect daily driver). The GTR has more power across the rev range, grip in both the wet and dry is much better and it is always very predictable under brakes. It just has the power, grip and stopping ability that exceed whatever an old guy like me throws at it. This level of stability can become boring after you have mastered it until you take someone for a run in it who has not been in a GTR before and you scare the crap out of them with just your normal driving. Both cars have nothing to prove to anyone and people should just enjoy what they have. Each car can be modified to provide any level of performance that the owner desires. I am now embarking on another Skyline adventure as my son is building an R32 GTS running an RB25de. He is focusing on the handling and braking attributes of a R32 without the power and is running a number of GTR and GTS-T components. And no I do not want to become involved in the "NA" verses "turbo" debate which is just the same as the GTR - GTS-T debate just in a different guise.
  7. Some pictures would help. What is included with the shell? Interior etc......
  8. This really sux. My GTR is tuned for 100 RON V Power Racing and it is far more responsive than any of the 98 options around. Looks like I will have to go back to BP Ultimate and a trip to the dyno for a re-tune.
  9. Mate you think that you have a problem. I run my GTR on V Power Racing that in NSW you can only buy in Sydney and Canberra so whenever I go anywhere else I carry an extra 50 litres of fuel in the boot so I can get home. This is a bit of a pain but it is tuned to run on 100 RON and has performance to match - the things people do.
  10. Sold to me.
  11. Interested in the RB25de time for inspection arranged.
  12. You have PM
  13. Clinton and I will be there so you can add two more to the list.
  14. That is some seriously good camera work - the trick is to be in the right place at the right time but one of the real skills is to be in a position to take the shot when it is happening. Well done mate.
  15. I also have a R33 GTR V-Spec and I found that induction and exhaust mods made a considerable difference. My car is stock apart from Apexi pods in an air box, adjustable cam gears, Power FC, highflow cat, 3.5 inch HKS exhaust and 14 psi boost. On a conservative tune I am making 250 kw at the rears at 8,000 but it is making just under 240 kw at 6,000 and then slowly climbing to 250. This results in a very driveable street car with strong induction noise and a deep exhaust note. When you dyno a R33 GTR the normal practice is just to remove the front drive shaft.
  16. Chris you have PM
  17. It has been great fun during the water restrictions because I have a water tank. I wash what ever I like when ever I like and they can all go and get stuffed. You would not believe the looks I get when I wash down the house or the driveway - and the best thing is when the tank is gets empty you just plug the hose into it and some how it just fills up and you start all over again.
  18. I will take the tomei brake stopper if it will fit a R33 GTR.
  19. Welcome to the GTR club. I have had my R33 GTR now for 2 1/2 years and the feeling is the same every single time that you drive her. There is nothing else that I have driven that has the same level of grip that these things generate. The only challenge is to treat her with respect while you are getting to know her as you experiment with her limits. All I can say is enjoy..........
  20. "I filled up my car (R34 GTT) on sunday. i got like 300 kms for the tank." This is a very vague statement - how much fuel did you use to fill it up? When you have a litres per 100 km value then you can compare fuel consumption. For example I get 10 litres per 100 km in my R33 GTS-T and I get between 15 and 20 litres per 100 km in my R33 GTR depending on how hard I am trying. How much fuel did you actually use?
  21. I had to replace my exhaust manifold studs at only 100k because two of the had simply broken off and I do not even drive that hard. A track day would create enough heat to expand the studs to the point where the nuts could come loose. OEM exhaust studs are known for their inability to cope with the heat and it is common to have to replace them. As "giant" has suggested the use of lock tabs would also help and provide that extra level of security.
  22. I have the R33 Series II factory broacher and price list and the model names are not as simple at they appear. The turbo coupe versions are: GTS 25 T Type M (This is the one with the V-Spec active diff and cost 3,567,000 yen) GTS 25 T Type M Spec II GTS 25 T Type M Spec I As I cannot read Japanese I do not understand what the difference is between the Spec II and Spec I models – they even cost the same 3,007,000 yen.
