  1. I have exactly the same problem on my 95 R33 GTR V-Spec. I swapped the window switch over from my GTS-T and that did not solve the problem, however the GTR switch worked fine on the GTS-T. Any suggestions ? ? ?
  2. Mate I use the NXT Generation Tech Wax - and for that matter all of the products in the NXT range - only the best for my babies. This stuff works really well and is so easy to use that polishing only takes a matter of minutes when the paint is clean.
  3. I have a R33 GTR V-Spec and a R33 GTS-T and I love the performance that these cars provide. I am talking about overall performance, great handling, braking, high speed stability and acceleration. I attempted to talk my son into a NA Skyline (R32 with a RB25DE) as a first car because of the overall dynamics that the car offered without too much power. Instead, he started off with a modified 323 Mazda which he managed to put into a rock wall and write off. My first car (34 years ago) was a Mazda 929 Coupe. As a young bloke I learnt a lot about driving in that car. The progressive engine, exhaust, suspension, body modifications developed the car’s performance to reflect my increasing skills through to the point where it even had a cage and full harnesses. From my experience a NA Skyline is a perfect first car because it has the dynamics of a Skyline without the performance. Also, as your skills improve there are so many upgrades that you can do from a GTS-T – suspension, brakes, etc.
  4. You have PM - I will take the cam gear off your hands
  5. Do you have any better pics of the R33 wheels? What condition are they in - do they have gutter rash?
  6. It was a good night apart from the bad weather - although it was a fun trip up from Wollongong on the freeway. Thanks again to Beer Baron and Gary for organising the event and to all of the staff from Heasmen's who gave up their time for us. I now have a much better understanding of suspension and shocks in particular.
  7. I thought that I was bad in my Nismo shirt and matching black jeans but man you take the cake for a Nissan Tragic.

    Would You

I have some first hand experience in this space because I have a R33 GTR and a R33 GTS-T Series II - I also have a 22 year old son. I do not have a problem with him driving the GTS-T but I only let him drive the GTR when I am in the car with him. It is not about the difference in performance in the two cars as the GTR is safer to drive than the GTS-T because it simply does everything better. Any turbo Skyline will bite you if you do the wrong thing. The real issue is what the GTR creates in other drivers. Someone wants to race you at every set of lights that you pull up at, everyone seems to have to prove that what ever it is that they drive is as good as the GTR from any of the Japanese brands to the V8 Holdens and V8 Fords. The other issue is the attention that the car generates with the cops, it is normal to see a cop and for them to do a U turn and either follow you or pull you over for a chat. The question is whether the person has the maturity to handle this extra attention and pressure that driving a GTR creates – if they can then go for it.
  9. Rod Markland had his R31 at Wakefield Park yesterday and it was awesome. These cars did not have any of the level of development that the Gibson R32 GTR’s had (e.g. it was running a plenum that was very similar to a GTS-T’s with a single throttle body) yet it was amazingly quick down the straights compared to the Ford and Holdens that it was running against. To see three R31’s on the track at once will be great.

    Again

Peter I have read and studied this topic in detail and I am totally impressed by your attention to detail in your rebuild. At a technical level there are a number of things that you read about that everyone talks about but in practice no one does (eg oil return line from back of head into the sump). Your attention to detail in this area is better than anyone else that I have seen. You are to be commended on your rebuild and I would like to see the car in the flesh at a SAU function to further admire your work.
  11. I will be in Castle Hill during the week so if Manwhore does not take them then I will.
  12. Can my son come along on my wifes membership card?
  13. Do you have any pictures of the grill?
  14. I assume that the grille only fits a Series I and not a Series II
  15. If jlnewton does not take it then I will. How much would it cost to post it to Wollongong?
  16. A few quick questions Is it a 50mm or 75mm wide belt? Do each of the belt ends have the clips that easily detach from the eye bolts? (you cannot see this easily in the photos) Could it be ADR approved - the belt catch looks like it is the normal belt style which is usually ARD compliant (my current 6 point harness has a quick release catch that is FIA and not ADR approved)
  17. Funds transfer transaction just completed - I'm in and paid.
  18. The rim in the picture looks to be in good condition. What are the other three rims like - are they the same condition? Is there any gutter rash on the rim without a tyre?
  19. Count me in for a Power FC with hand controller for a R33 GTS-T Series 2
  20. Here as some pictures of my silver R33's

    R34 Gtt

Joel from "Aussie Car Compliance" (SAU Sponsor) had two black R34 GTT's just before Christmas. They were low milage units that looked straight - one was manual and one was triptronic. Check him out - he looked after me when I was in the market for a R33
